The Klassic Note "Searching Stars Project" Part 2

It's going to take a toll sometime, and I tell myself to not go along with procrastination, so here we are. *laughs* The next paragraph will cover the details, but suffice it to say if you didn't get what this means it's adequately explained in Part 1 of this short series where I explore the artists I may have ignored or not, and find out how they are today. Spoilers: Many have disbanded due to lack of popularity (and sales, of course).

I'll try to cover as many as I can, excluding the artists whom I've given in 2017. The list shall follow the one from Hall of Fame (if you don't know that's a thing yet go to the Official Website), and shall be done in the following 5W1H format: [unless stated otherwise, in square brackets]
  • Who are they, in English/Romaji [in Japanese]
  • What was their best impression thus far/back then [One Hit Wonder - only impression]
  • When I started, and with what song
  • Where did it get lost, if I did [Active Artist - constantly giving songs]
  • Why I will still care [One Hit Wonder - don't care; Disbanded - care, but gone before I can]
  • How are they doing now: The good, the bad, and whatever applies to them as of 2017
[*Information accurate as of 2017.12.16]

sphere
  • Voice actress idol group focusing on Anime songs (which has become a trend today)
  • It's hard to pick because Collection Artist in Klassic Note and they have been consistently good
  • Started in 2009, with "Future Stream" opening theme song for Anime "Hatsukoi Limited."
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because... the songs, maybe? The unison isn't particularly unique, but the songs always get me, and that's a good thing.
  • There are going to be on hiatus starting next year to "prepare for their 10th anniversary" in 2019 apparently, but in 2017 they have released their 5th album and another single to transit into hiatus
Flat Three
  • Jazz duo which started in 2004 with three members
  • It's the only song I gave too
  • Started in 2009, with "Everyday Life feat. Misa Sugiyama", on their major debut album
  • I never really started, actually
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • Their last official Tweet online was in 2011, their official website is not obsolete... you get the meaning
Kalafina
  • Anime-based vocal group consisting of three members covering bass, alto and soprano singing
  • Their best impression must be the beginning where they sang for Anime "Kara no Kyoukai", and also between 2010-2011 period too
  • Started in 2009 with "Lacrimosa", ending theme song for Anime "Kuroshitsuji"
  • [Active Artist?]
  • I still care because of their unique formation, and it's all because of the one composer who has been behind them all this while, Kajiura Yuki-sensei. With the right songs (so long as it's not Anime song) they never fail to amaze me with the diversity and power of vocals.
  • They have been consistently releasing new songs, considering they are Anime artists. However, I've not been giving a lot of songs in the past few years, much to disappointment. They released two singles and two live video compilations in 2017.
marble
  • Anime pop duo which also focuses on writing "organic pop" songs
  • Their best impression has got to be the ending theme for Anime "Hidamari Sketch" called "Ryuusei Record"
  • Started in 2009 with "Hatsukoi limited" from Anime of the same title
  • I stopped because they have only been singing Anime songs? And after that their original releases aren't that interesting for me to keep up with anyway.
  • I don't really care as their style came to me as simple if not for the beautification that is Anime songs, but other than that they didn't seem to catch me with simple melodies, despite that being an easy criteria in Klassic Note
  • They have disbanded as of 2014 after their 4th album in 2013, and have thus gone their own ways since then
OGRE YOU ASSHOLE
  • Rock band focusing on rather niche genres, playing on alternative and psychedelic rock
  • Their best impression was also the first song I gave them
  • Started in 2009 with "Pinhole", as heard from "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION 2009"
  • I stopped mainly because of their weird style, and it somehow did not get me at all, despite desperation of trying to find new melodies and styles, unfortunately
  • I will still care if they would write more normal songs back in their early days which I have given quite a couple of releases from, but from 2011 after they have changed styles and label company they focused on a rather deterring music style, which made me back off
  • They are still fairly active in the industry, and I've given them an album review in 2016 with two songs in the list. That was also their latest original release. In 2017 they released a remix single and a live album.
Primary
  • Anime indie artist group focusing in yuiko, not to be confused with Korean singer-songwriter
  • Her best impression is from 2014 with single "fragile garden"
  • Started in 2009 with her 2nd album song "Fix"
  • I kind of ignored her for some time because I felt she was singing Anime songs like many other artists, and her simple melodies with limited flaws seemed to have deterred me from giving any more songs after 2009
  • I still care for the music created by backed up composer Meis Clauson and sung by the unique vocalist yuiko. The combination focusing on simplicity and making indie compositions sound great is a rarity in Klassic Note
  • She is still fairly active in Anime conventions, releasing mini-albums typically each year to supply new songs to doujinshi fans. She also released her best album which covers the songs she sang from 2005 to 2013, and that's pretty long for an indie artist
SCANDAL
  • Four-piece rock band which has gained international fame over the past decade
  • Their best impression to turn me over was like from a single in 2010 "Taiyou to Kimi ga Egaku STORY"
  • Started in 2009 with Anime "BLEACH" opening theme song "Shoujo S"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because ever since 2014 they have transited to a self-composing band, not relying on other composers to write the songs for them but passing the job to all members, mainly focused on MAMI the guitarist
  • They are very active in the industry, conducting lives all over the world (including the country I live in) and releasing new singles regularly. In 2017 they released another best album and a digital single, which I did not give, surprisingly.
Nakagawa Shoko
  • Solo artist focusing on pop and Anime songs sometimes
  • Her best impression was also the first song I gave her
  • Started in 2009 with "Kirei.a.la.Mode"
  • I kind of stopped because in regular Anime fashion, she may be too generic besides her unique voice.
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She is still fairly active, but less of music instead focusing on drama and production on the back-end. Her latest original album was in 2014 and she collaborated multiple times with Anime, notably in Klassic Note 2015 with Denpagumi Inc. with single "PUNCH LINE"
Tomatsu Haruka
  • Voice actress, Anime idol and solo music artist
  • Her best impression is likely from Anime "Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun" where she acts as main girl and sings opening theme song "Q&A Recital!"
  • Started in 2009 with Anime "Kannagi" opening theme song "motto Hade ni Ne!"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because as her unique voice as voice actress has gained her experience in singing, and with great songs it really brings out her character. Outside of Anime, she performs well too with music given to her, so that is a plus.
  • She is still active ever since her best albums in 2016, and in 2017 she released a single for Anime "PriPri Chii-chan" ending theme song
Asai Kenichi
  • Rock solo artist, song producer
  • His best impression is also likely the next impression he gave after I delved into him a bit, called "Bad Strawberries"
  • Started in 2009 with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Mad Surfer"
  • I kind of took a step back not because of his laid back rock style, but more of I can't find good melodies inside his lists. Also, his English is terrible in the songs he sings.
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • He is still fairly active as artist and producer, but transitioned from solo to combined with a backup band I assume, releasing new songs from 2016 with THE INTERCHANGE KILLS. They have released a new album in 2017
Toyosaki Aki
  • Voice actress, solo music artist focusing on soothing tunes
  • Her best impression is likely the first song too, I guess. Other than that, from 2009 "SHUN PU" is a close second. And then everything else right behind haha
  • Started in 2009 with single "love your life"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because I liked her unique voice as voice actress, and coupled with soothing songs written by mostly infamous composers, she is having a time of her life in music, and so am I. I mean, her only music release which was not on the shelf is her 2nd single. That's it.
  • She is fairly active in the industry. In 2017 she released one single and a best album which I both reviewed
Tsuji Shion
  • Singer-songwriter who focuses on generic pop songs
  • Her best impression has got to be from her 2009 single "Hoshii Mono"
  • Started in 2009 with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Sky chord ~Otona ni Naru Kimi e~"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because she doesn't have widespread popularity, and her own composition style is favoured in Klassic Note, seeing as how I have came back to review her first album in 2010 the second time in 2012 which places it on the shelf
  • She is still active as a music artist, even though she releases songs less often than most artists out there. Her latest release was in 2016 where she released her 2nd album
PE’Z
  • Jazz band, focusing on instrumental pieces mainly
  • Their best impression was from their 2010 release "1.2.MAX"
  • Started in 2010 with album "1.2.MAX", before that knew them from collaboration group "pe'zmoku"
  • I somehow did not faithfully follow them despite liking their tunes, but I guess it's up to me then, to not favour their style I guess
  • [Disbanded]
  • They have disbanded after their album in 2013, and have split into H ZETTRIO led by H ZETT M (also known as the band's keyboardist Hiizumi Masayuki) ever since their official disbandment in 2015 after their 15th anniversary
angela
  • Anime pop duo consisting of atsuko as vocals and KATSU as guitarist
  • Their best impression was also the first song I gave them
  • Started in 2010 with Anime "Seitokai Yakuindomo" ending theme song "Aoi Haru"
  • Since they were Anime-related their songs have to be of some standard, which at many a times not what I wanted as I remember them better for their wacky, happy and lively tunes
  • I still care because of Anime. That's pretty much it I can't give any other reason
  • They are still active in the Anime industry, writing songs for other groups and singing songs for their own group too. In 2017 they released a single for Anime "Aho Girl" and are planning to release an album by the end of the year. (OMG it's next week??)
ClariS
  • Anime pop duo born out of the Internet platform Niconico focusing on mainly Anime songs
  • Their best impression is still likely their first song. Then again there are many great tunes down the long road since they are Collection Artist in Klassic Note
  • Started in 2010 with Anime "Oreimo" opening theme song "irony"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care (despite all the change in recent years, see below) because of production. Since the Anime songs that they sing aren't written by them and are by a range of spectacular composers, we still get to hear great tunes with any singing duo combination, I would say
  • Since original member Alice departure into further education (and never came back) in 2014, it has been replaced with Karen and along with Clara (thus the original name of the duo) continued to sing more songs for Anime. They revealed their real identity many years after going anonymous in 2017, releasing a full album and two singles from Anime "Eromanga-sensei" and "Monogatari" series respectively.
miwa
  • Singer-songwriter popular in mainstream pop music in Japan
  • Her best impression till now is probably still from 2012 single "Hikari e"
  • Started in 2010 with single "Little girl"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because I wanted to hear more from her. Sadly with her transition of music style she sings a lot more beat-based tunes now compared to the past her which focused on melodic tunes
  • She is a very active artist in the music industry. In 2017 she released her 5th album which I reviewed and two singles which I did not review because of the reasons I mentioned earlier
SPYAIR
  • Four-piece rock band mainly doing alternative and mainstream punk rock
  • Their best impression is probably still from their 2009 single titled "Just Like This"
  • Started in 2010 with single "Last Moment", also Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song
  • I kind of ignored them for some years because of their style, their melodies tend to be unappealing over time as it feels like they are singing different melodies with the exact same style. This has since changed over the year which brought attention back on them.
  • I still care because they still sound unique, they can come up with good emotional tunes, and their style is powerful and strong especially in consistency, unlike many bands
  • They are still active because I reviewed their singles over the past couple of years. In 2017 they released two singles and an album which I've reviewed all and gave positive feedback in Klassic Note
Kotobuki Minako
  • Voice actress, idol and solo music artist, maybe lyricist?
  • Her best impressions are mainly on the journey to her first album, from "Liliac" in her debut single to 2nd single "Startline" to first album topic song "STRIDE"
  • Started in 2010 with single "Shiny+"
  • I kind of relaxed on her because of compositions. As I always emphasise, the songs written (not from her) determine how good she can sound, and in these few years it has not been promising.
  • I still care because I want her usual rock style music back. As much as I want it, it always comes back disappointing. That doesn't mean I don't want more, because Mina-chan still sounds great with music
  • She is less active than many idol artists out there, to be honest. Her 3rd album is schedule to release early next year, after two singles from 2016 which I did not care much about

=======LIGHTNING ROUND!!=======
T.M.Revolution
  • Musician, solo singer-songwriter, producer, among many other roles
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • He is doing well in solo and in collaborations with others. You guys probably know of his collaboration with Mizuki Nana in 2013. His latest singles were dated back in 2016 and has also actively been writing songs for others
Diggy-MO'
  • Singer, MC, composer for pop and hip-hop music
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • In 2017 he released an original album, and since 2010 has been fairly active in music production and performance after changing record labels in 2014
The GazettE
  • Visual kei rock band consisting of five members
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • Their latest single and album are dated back in 2016 and 2015 respectively, and they have been active in live performance ever since
universe
  • Five-piece rock band
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They have announced permanent hiatus in 2016 after mini-albums dated back in 2011-2012
Kimura Kaela
  • Solo singer, model
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She is fairly active in the music industry. Her latest solo album was dated back in 2016. She has also been actively collaborating to create groups to sing songs with credit to the entertainment industry
Matsushita Yuuya
  • J-Pop, R&B singer
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • He's active in the industry because I see his name often after giving the one song in 2010. He has since then continued a couple of years before stopping his solo activity in 2014 and forming a four-man group named "X4"
Tamura Yukari
  • Long time Anime solo artist, voice actress
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She is fairly active as a senior member in the voice acting and Anime music industry, and has not been releasing many songs in hopes of letting newer generation take place. She has transitioned to another persona by the name of "Kagurazaka Yuka" after a live video release in 2013, and has since changed label and produced more songs under the new persona. Her previous name is still used, but less often and for Anime purposes, most notably in collaboration with rapper motsu in 2010
=====END OF LIGHTNING ROUND=====

Aimer
  • Solo artist, singer-songwriter for pop songs and Anime
  • Her best impression is likely from single "Akanesasu"
  • Started in 2011 with "Re:pray" as Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because of the unique style given to her by many Anime composers mainly, and that she expresses them in a different way compared to many others which makes her special in Anime theme song performance
  • She is active in the music industry. In 2017 she releases her first duo best album compilation after four singles from 2016 and one after that, and is also releasing yet another single in early 2018.
ALTIMA
  • Anime synth pop trio created as a collaboration with rapper motsu, Kurosaki Maon and fripSide composer Sat
  • Best impression is still likely the first song I gave
  • From 2011, with ending theme song "I'll believe" for Anime "Shakugan no Shana III"
  • I didn't give much attention after their first album because most of the styles are not melodic, and aren't as good as their Anime credited tunes
  • [Disbanded]
  • They announced their disbandment in yearly Anime event Anisama in 2016 on their 5th year anniversary, and before that have not released many songs after their first album in 2012
fumika
  • Pop singer, sometimes lyricist
  • Best impression are most of the emotional songs she sings, which is pretty much every song
  • From 2011, with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Aoi Tori"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I still care because she's one of a kind. Her strong singing voice, the music written for her with great impact and emotion... everything fits her identity so well
  • Ever since her departure from major label in ~2013, she started her solo career once again, releasing two albums under the transition already. In 2017 she released two singles both of which I have reviewed, with the latest dated in late November. She's slated to release another single in 2018.
LAMA
  • Four-piece group focusing on electronic and pop music
  • Their best impression is likely from their 2011 single "Cupid"
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "UN-GO" ending theme song "Fantasy"
  • I didn't give much attention after this even though they did release an album and I did listen to it I think but after that they have gone quiet
  • [Disbanded]
  • After their latest album dated back in 2012, the group have then focused on their solo activities, mostly doing their own stuff but as far as their Twitter accounts show one of them is from band "agraph" so you can check that out, the other two are doing DJ and composition, and the other runs a fashion line?
LITTLE CREATURES
  • Three-piece band who write alternative music based on pop and rock styles
  • Their best impression is also the only impression
  • Started in 2011 with "The Sand Cage"
  • Gone quiet before I could inquire further
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • This one is a little interesting. They have been attending lives irregularly since their album release in 2011 which is also their 20th anniversary (of which I reviewed their tribute album) and since then built up rapport with the fans, likely leading up a new song released in 2015, nearly 5 years since their last release, and a full album in 2016.
NICO Touches The Walls
  • Four-piece rock band which dabbles in alternative and post rock styles
  • Their best impression is also likely the first song given to them
  • Started in 2011 with "Tenchi Gaeshi"
  • I was rather reluctant in giving their songs because despite the punch they give in their songs their melodies typically aren't quite likable for me, to say the least
  • I care because these guys can make good songs, whether it's emotional or powerful, and will continue to do so as long as they can keep it up
  • NICO is fairly active in the industry, as seen from yearly live events and rock festivals. In 2017, they released their live video performance from their album in 2016 and has recently in December 2017 released an E.P.
School Food Punishment
  • Four-member rock band focused on mainly electronic rock and sometimes pop rock
  • Their best impression is also likely the first song that was given
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "C" ending theme song "RPG"
  • [Disbanded]
  • I care because I liked their style, and slowly as I direct into giving more electronic songs, I'm even relieving myself of giving sub-par melodies due to how well the songs are presented
  • In 2012 they announced their disbandment following vocalist Uchimura Yumi's leaving of the group. As far as I know composer of the group Hideaki moved on to write more songs for Anime and idol artists, and Yumi apparently got affiliated to another band named "la la larks" from 2012, focusing on producing Anime songs and releasing new songs from 2014 even till today. Masayuki moved on to form siraph which produces dance and electronic songs from 2016 with vocalist Annabel, if some of you find her name familiar.
UNLIMITS
  • Four-piece rock band focusing on generic rock styles
  • Their best impression is likely still their first song in Klassic Note
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Haruka Kanata"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I care because I like their generic rock style, and they never surprise to release new songs which I can sink into, especially considering everyone today sings generic rock music
  • They have been inactively releasing new albums, but steadily, while performing lives everywhere in Japan, to say the least. Their latest album is dated 2016 called "U"

=======LIGHTNING ROUND!=======
ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D
  • Three piece rock band focusing on pop rock and alternative rock with heavy tunes
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They are still fairly active today. 2016 marks their 10th anniversary and its lives and before that they released two singles in 2015.
ViViD
  • Five piece pop rock band focusing on hard rock
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They have been fairly active until their announcement on disbandment in 2015. Their last album is dated in early 2014.
Tokumaru Shugo
  • Singer-songwriter mostly doing pop and rock songs
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • I've only heard him through "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION" so I won't say I've followed him much since then. As a veteran in the industry he is still writing songs for other artists as well as releasing his own songs once in a while. His latest album is dated 2016 and released from the same label company OGRE YOU ASSHOLES resides today.
Sasaki Sayaka
  • Anime song artist, singer
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She has since changed her style quite a bit after 2011, leading to more powerful tunes and whatever Anime throws at her apparently. Her latest album is released in 2017.
Isobe Masafumi
  • Singer, guitarist, sometimes songwriter
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • Same here I've not heard him since "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION" and he has not released new songs since 2012
=====END OF LIGHTNING ROUND=====

Natural High
  • Two piece jazz pop group
  • Their best impression is likely from the same release as the first song, from Anime "Bartender" called "Hajimari no Hito"
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "Bartender" theme songs "Bartender/Hajimari no Hito"
  • [Disbanded]
  • I cared because I liked their music style, soft and still jazzy sometimes, making it the perfect kind of music to thrive, much to disappointment though
  • They disbanded in 2008, and yes I reviewed their released only after their disbandment which makes it even sadder how such a music group can be so unpopular. They have gone quiet since.
negoto
  • Four-piece pop group focusing on electronic pop and dance pop sometimes
  • Their best impression is from a 2012 single also with an Anime tie-in called "sharp #"
  • Started in 2011 with "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION" included song "Sukitooru Shodou"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I care because their style is still a bit unusual, despite being unique in the industry, which makes them best for making whatever type of music they want since they will always stand out in the crowd
  • 2017 marks their 10th anniversary as this is the only year too for them to release two full albums within a year and a single with movie tie-in which is on the shelf
Hyadain
  • Singer-songwriter, vocalist in a persona sometimes with a female counterpart "Hyadaruko"
  • His best impression is likely from 2013 single "Warai Kamisama ga Orite Kita"
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "Nichijou" opening theme song "Hyadain no Kakakata Kataomoi-C"
  • It sort of faded away as soon as it started since Hyadain was just part of the artist's persona (will be explained below) to incorporate duo singing which was rather popular in recent decades, and since that has not came out in recent years, I just gave up on listening to his solo tunes
  • I care because the duo thing is really good, and his compositions made sure to distribute the effort such that the chorus and individual parts are memorable and as attention-grabbing as possible
  • Hyadain, better known as Maeyamada Kenichi, is an Anime composer for theme songs and for other artists. Plenty of unique styles in Anime songs are likely written by him. His persona as Hyadain kind of died of around 2014 where he focused on composition but before that released a couple of singles featuring only himself in the songs and also one with rock band Base Ball Bear
Kawano Marina
  • Anime artist, singer, sometimes lyricist and songwriter
  • Her best impression is likely still her first song
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "A Channel" opening theme song "Morning Arch"
  • It faded away mostly due to her inactivity in the music industry and leaving major label after her first album back in 2013
  • I kind of care, but not really, since inactivity in Klassic Note just means I won't be able to give more songs anyway, which heavily depends on who's writing the songs for you, considering she doesn't do much of it herself
  • After her major debut and album release in 2013, she moved on to the baseball industry to be an entertainer as she has vested interest in the sport. In 2017 released a limited edition single which was also written in support for baseball in general
AZUMA HITOMI
  • Singer-songwriter focusing on dance pop tunes
  • Her best impression was from single "Kira Kira"
  • Started in 2011 with Anime "Fractale" opening theme song "Harinezumi"
  • [Inactive Artist - She didn't release new ones so it got lost]
  • I cared back then because I wanted to hear more melodies from her, considering she's a pretty good composer back then
  • Today she does plenty of DJ rock as far as I know, releases songs outside of major label and Anime most notably one mini-album in 2014, collaborates with other artists in shows and programs mainly, is involved in a band "Hello,Wendy!", and is now doing a feedback program or sorts with Niitsu Yui (YUI from RYTHEM)
Choucho
  • Anime singer, sometimes lyricist herself
  • Her best impression has got to be the first song given to her
  • Started in 2012 with Anime "Hyouka" opening theme song "Yasashisa no Riyuu"
  • It kind of got lost once you know she's an Anime artist and this heavily relies on composers giving her good songs typically
  • I don't care that much because as an Anime artist... (see above point)
  • She is still fairly active in the Anime music industry. I've given her another single from Anime "Glasslip" in 2014 (man that show sucks lol) and as of 2017 has released three singles and is slated to release a new album early 2018
Dr.DOWNER
  • Four piece rock band focusing on quick tempo and generic rock
  • Their best impression was from the first song given
  • Started in 2012 with "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION" included song "Rainbow"
  • They have been rather inactive after 2012 so I didn't follow them since
  • I cared because I like the style I hear, and I've given a couple of songs from their album back in 2013
  • They have been relatively quiet these few years after their shift toward a three-piece band. In 2014 they released an EP and in 2016 they released a new song as digital single
QUATTRO
  • Five piece rock band focused on alternative rock and post modern styles
  • Their best impression was from a mini-album in 2012 titled "Loyal Isolation"
  • Started in 2012 with "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION" included song "Hodoketa Kutsuhimo"
  • I wanted to care, but they didn't produce more
  • I cared because I liked what I hear, to be very honest, and after listening to their releases in 2012 most memorably end of year mini-album "Capital", I wanted to hear more
  • If you try to find them every year online, you'll not be able to find much results, so I'll help you out. They have been inactive ever since 2012, and their last known live performance and single release was in 2014 (according to their Facebook page) which is pretty much it. They announced their disbandment in 2015.
sunday morning bell
  • Five piece pop rock band
  • Their best impression is likely from their album topic song "WAGON"
  • Started in 2012 with "electric" which can be found on Audioleaf.com
  • [Disbanded]
  • I cared because I wanted to hear more, despite their indie style and kind of off-beat tunes, they still sounded great together as an indie band back then
  • Today, they have came back to release new songs and are prepared to release a new album in 2018
YUKI
  • Singer-songwriter
  • Her best impression is probably still from a single in 2012 titled "Play Ball"
  • Started in 2012 with Anime "Sakamichi no Apollon" opening theme song "Sakamichi no Melody"
  • I kind of closed up on her after 2012 for some time because I don't really like her singing voice, and many a times she presents me with really weird melodies, to which I cannot comprehend but only give up
  • I cared recently because I think she has potential going back to sing simple, palatable melodies because that's what Klassic Note is also about
  • She is active in the industry, celebrating her 15th anniversary recently. In 2017 she released if I'm not wrong, 2 singles and an original album, with tie-in to Anime "Sangatsu no Lion"
Taketatsu Ayana
  • Voice actress, idol and Anime singer
  • Her best impression is probably her most popular song describing her meat-eating fave, "Rice To Meat You"
  • Started in 2012 with debut single "Sinfonia! Sinfonia!!"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I care because... well half of it is for the idol purposes, but just like all other voice actor-based singers they all have great singing voices, so why not? Besides, I only give when the melody is good.
  • She just released her best album in 2017, soon after two singles and an original album in 2016. She is also poised for another single release in 2018 which will be her second tie-in (third overall) with Anime "Dagashi Kashi"
Hanazawa Kana
  • Voice actress, idol and Anime singer focused on retro pop styles, sometimes lyricist
  • Her latest and best impression was from 2016 single "Zarazara" written by Hata Motohiro
  • Started in 2012 with debut single "Hoshizora Destination"
  • [Active Artist]
  • I care because I anticipate songs written by others for her, other than the regular Aniplex (which is the music label she is under) producer Kitagawa Katsutoshi
  • In 2017 she released an original album and is preparing for another single in 2018 written by one of Ikimonogakari's composers Mizuno Yoshiki

=======LIGHTNING ROUND!!=======
Hata Motohiro
  • Singer-songwriter
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • It was close back then when I was trying to give Anime Movie "Kotonoha no Niwa" theme song, but that slipped by. That was in 2013, soon after I gave the only song in 2012. Since these, he has been fairly active in releasing new songs almost every year (his latest single is dated 2017, latest album 2015), and has also been actively writing songs for others. (Hanazawa Kana's 2016 single "Zarazara")
Kugimiya Rie
  • Voice actress, one time idol singer
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • Well, it was the only one that she got to perform with this mini-album back in 2012, so that's pretty much it because there aren't any comebacks since then
AiRI
  • Anime singer
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She is still singing new songs for Anime, to no surprise. However, it's not as active as all the others. Her latest album is dated July 2014 and her latest single October 2016
Kodama Saori
  • Anime singer, songwriter and producer
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • It's been ten years since her last solo single, so doing it for Anime "Hyouka" seems to be an exception. Since 2002 though she has been actively doing music production for a variety of artists, mostly lyricist if I'm not wrong
Piko
  • Anime singer who is actually male, in case you think he's female
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • He has slightly changed his image after releasing his latest single back in 2015, and is ready for a comeback, though I cannot see what is it about. According to his official Twitter (because his website is under maintenance I assume) he released a digital single very recently in December 2017, which likely means he'll come back in the following year.
=====END OF LIGHTNING ROUND=====

This is it guys. Stay tuned for Part 3 next later this week as I try to keep up with the pace. Yes, I'll make sure to release it on time by the end of the week, I promise. Which means I need to get going earlier instead of doing it in the weekend only. Oh well, there goes my final year project lol. Bye.

The Entertainment News 2017 Edition Issue #51

Yes, it's not out yet.

Yes, it's still in writing. I'm just not in the mood to do so. The Klassic Note segment will be the evidence.

And yes, I'll finish up the project I'm doing since last week by tomorrow latest. Okay, let's get to it. (Audience: No seriously why the serious look?) You'll know.

アニメ Just Because!
I mean, what's with that intro scene? I mean, why stop to look at that scene? Isn't it just picking up Natsume and going home? #plothole lol yeah I know it's to "fill up the gaps"
The new episode (#JustBecause10) tends to remind us about how original of an Anime production is this show, and it's near from perfect. Even though it's that, we do have some development. It's Valentines', it seems. (I'm glad to have learnt about the after-exam schedules without doing research myself, thank you) And besides the one guy (ok count the other two walking down the alley) who got no interaction from any girl (I feel bad for him the moment Souma ran out of the classroom already haha), everyone had something out of it, it seems. The one who loses out the most through interaction must be Natsume this time round, as Komiya's selfish action of putting the image Eita took of her as phone wallpaper most definitely became the biggest hurdle the poor girl has to overcome in order to be with the person she likes. Souma got off it slightly better though, seeing Morikawa was trying to reject the heck out of him but decides to not do so in view of Souma's potential determination to want to be with her. That, we shall see if it'll ever unfold in the last episode, probably. Ignoring Komiya's feelings, Eita seems to be the better off considering two girls are after him - though one actively and the other very, very passively - considering he's just a transfer student back for like, 3 months. And finally, Souma's the one friend probably had the day in the ideal and best way possible, which is receiving chocolates from a girl. Hey, not everyone has happy endings from this day, yes? Then again, we may see more things conclude in due time, because at this rate Natsume's going to lose her Eita to her junior. And me, for once, do not wish for that to happen. Sorry Komiya; you ruined that Eita x Natsume combination really hard this episode. Also, this episode also reminds us (back to the beginning of this) about how cheap the animation potentially is (I mean, Eita looked different in the one scene with Natsume WTF) (And Morikawa doesn't have to look this bad) and also how less of an impact this story makes. Natsume's teared up face did not hit me as hard as like, (sorry again) "Toradora!" does it (even "Tsuki ga Kirei" is better than this), and the turn for Morikawa's situation with Souma was also not shown distinctively. Man, could have made more impact man. All of them were worth the time to put forth more... more... well, you know. *laughs* Display of emotion, I would say. Hey, I'm no Anime director or producer, okay?
Since they'll never appear in a thumbnail here, I'll give them a chance.
I too can't bear to put anything couple-y here already
P.S. "Why are you making that face?" Because you haven't searched online on how to change the wallpaper on your phone?? Eita YOU GOT BURNED haha
P.P.S. "He doesn't even know how I feel" I mean, you didn't even have enough courage to tell him despite all the hurdles too haha BURNED man how many characters in this show do I need to burn to be happy lol
(Okay one last one: I thought Natsume had won/was being ahead of Komiya when she sees the two outside the classroom, but hey, Natsume didn't expect the wallpaper. Now that's called being ahead lol)

アニメ Blend S
Turns out Akizuki is better at doing tsundere than Kaho-san for some reason hehe it's not without reason anyways
The new episode (#BlendS11) felt long, but it's not lacking in jokes compared to the other episodes, by the way. Romance antics sure are hard to watch in this show, as with the case of the manager Dino with Maiks, for my case. With the dog as medium, they go out on a dog park trip, had lunch together, and got the dog a friend? Haha I don't think so. Things between Akizuki and Kaho surely got more awkward already, but it's nice to know that Kaho-san will be happy just by the customers and without much help from that helpless guy who just seems to be a step late in everything, I guess. Lastly, Maika learnt of a "kabedon", and if you don't know of that, wait till you have to do it on someone then haha. Maybe it's just me feeling awkward on these romance jokes, but I'd much prefer the normal stuff. And yeah, Mafuyu is indeed an integral part of this show. And not so much for that man girl lol
Guess what caused that dog to run away haha
(Hint: It's got something to do with someone's face lol)
P.S. The subtitles (if you are reading them) are likely wrong when Dino blocks Maika's path and getting confused, but most of them I heard are of the names of rice bowls (as they end with the "-don" prefix) instead of whatever was translated haha

アニメ Houseki no Kuni
I'm still amazed at how wonderful this animation is, to be honest. And because of this fusion between 2D and 3DCG, the jokes always get me lol
The new episode (#HousekiNoKuni11) introduces us briefly to Alexandrite and her berserk form, and thus was not tasked to deal with the moon people because she kind of breaks down fast, as much as she can attack fast. The big moon beast that got cut down by Dia got into pieces, and more as the gem people cut it down, and it eventually became a bunch of moon puppies? Sure, but that says a lot about the structure of the moon people, and also, how they relate to the sensei after seeing him being so friendly with it. But hey, as Cinnabar said, no one shall doubt on the truth even if it is standing by his side, so yeah, Phos shouldn't either. But that doesn't really stop her though, even though it has been many days since the next bunch of moon people appeared. Maybe as the sensei mentioned they have "found peace" and decided to not launch another attack, I guess. Time is of essence here, as Rutile still actively tries to piece up Dia and another of her close partners Padparadscha (I'll spell this right once, and only once), which we will no doubt get a feature episode of next week. Or maybe the moon people. Or the sensei. Or all of them. Hey, it's going to end spectacular at this rate, so why not expect more?
Bort when she sees someone playing around with her fluffies lol
(Notice how she cracks - literally - when she gets pissed haha)
P.S. Did anyone not remind you to not put them together at the same place? I mean, going by how it works with the moon beast I would guess that much tbh
P.P.S. I'm going to make some weak guesses here, so don't mind me. I would like to guess the sensei was definitely one with the moon people, who advocated its creation and probably is one of the other humans who now have lived on the moon. Then comes the rebellion, as the sensei felt something was wrong and thus left to create another land in the once (I assume) inhabited Earth (I didn't say how long before this though, remember that) and created these gem people to fight for good, I suppose. Hey, plenty of question marks here, but that's as much as I can guess. And if this show is going to end by the end of the year, we'll not get any conclusion out of this. 2nd season please?

アニメ Sangatsu no Lion
Is it like this show to do a timeline of events then recollect them in first-person for all the other characters that matter seeing it's always Kiriyama's story first? Hey, can't blame them if this story is long though.
The new episode (#3Lion32) gives a little case study credit to our new loser (haha) side character who is also Kiriyama's recent opponent last week, Junkei. His story sounds as sour as many out there too (I mean, I've watched this show up till now lol), but unlike himself he adores the bravery and perseverance of Nikaidou and Kiriyama in the never ending trip that these two take to be better at shougi. Hey, good thing for him his life is also filled with hope, like those racing pigeons (<= click to see birds lol) he raised and being laughed by his "friends" or whatever, he is also working hard to achieve his goals. Sadly there can only be one winner this time, and it's Kiriyama. Sorry, bro. Second half brings us to the joy that Hina-chan got when Kiriyama went to find her during her school trip in Kyoto. Well it's near, Kiriyama said, but nonetheless the joy that shows up on her face is unexplained heartwarming among the cold-hearted students in her class. You know, bringing her a coat, getting her pudding (I'm like "<= what did I like most about the school trip" haha) to eat, and so on. Thanks to the end of the episode, we also know that Kiriyama then - after Hina's school trip - treated everyone to a feast in which was one that got the two guys scared (the other was the grandfather) and the two girls waaaaaay too satisfied. Food, man. It can do wonders. Which also explains Hina's smile on her face, for which we hope it'll last longer than before. Hey, putting behind her such a past may not be easy, as we all know that events experienced at a younger age becomes part of our lesson-learning, and part of our memory, no matter how terrible is might be.
If it takes so much setup to show us this, they've done a good job.
P.S. MVP the aunt who has to take orders for Hina and Akari as they were ordering way too much lol "I'm running out of paper" I just broke haha
P.P.S. You heard who's doing the theme songs next season? It's... UNISON SQUARE GARDEN (yeah it's them) and RUANN for ending theme song. The latter sounds like a newbie (like, 14-years-old newbie) so I'll check that out next year. And Unisong? If they write songs like in this season's Ballroom Anime I'm out.

アニメ PriPri Chii-chan
Hey, didn't expect this to end, so let's talk about it. Yes, after three seasons (seasons as in 12 episodes ie. 3 months), this little show has come to an end. I guess it's a little anti-climatic like all the other episodes, but hey, drama is drama, people. Especially kids drama, so I won't comment further. My favourites for this series are likely Yuka dancing for the ending themes (they are just great), that photographer who loves to end with "-basha" (refers to the sound effect you hear when you take a picture from a SLR camera click your smartphone camera) in his words lol (just that episode is the most I laughed), and maybe that yeti that Chii-chan summoned from the poles lol. All in all, it's fun to watch, I definitely enjoyed the theme songs (maybe haha), and I'm glad to have been on this journey. Hey, again I say, it's not for everyone, and it's kind of childish, but I got a good laugh once in a while, and I guess it's good enough for this show. Once again kids - There's always a solution to everything. Also, happy endings will always arrive on time. Always. *laughs*
xD

漫画 Dagashi Kashi
The new chapter (94) talks about bubble blowing, as the guys fight it out to see who is the best... okay, I didn't say that lol. As Hotaru is amazed because we know she can never do any of the stunts, Sayashi walks over with disgust on her face. Oh well, what is cool does not always look cool, just so you know.
When you're single and you see a couple cuddling each other

音楽 This Week on Klassic Note
This week brings us a couple of releases. Okay, before I start, I would like to say I didn't review all the releases. It was not as expected since I wasn't in the mood to do so that hastily anyway. Therefore, I shall talk about two of them here, and do a couple more (since I followed up on some of them) next week, so to spread out the agony of no new releases next week, and also the week after, so yeah.

For this week, negoto's new album to celebrate their 10th anniversary seems unapproachable at first glance, so I'll take some time before giving anything from the release. Amamiya Sora's new single came in strong and quick (just like the songs), so yeah, I'm reviewing it next week, in case you didn't see the Tweet. I also managed to get hold of fumika's new single and I must say it's okay because the previous one kind of outshines this one too much, and clearly this feels like a celebratory single of sorts. *wink*

(Just to be clear, all releases mentioned in this paragraph ARE NOT released next week)
For next week, I'll give a listen to amazarashi's new album which released this week, and Porno Graffitti's latest album since I never really gave a listen to their album in ages, and in their sense, it's kind of a long period of time lol. I'm also trying to give GLIM SPANKY another chance after giving the one song, even though I'd rather give them more attention for next year in the first batch of songs for Klassic Note. Yeah, it's a thing I do every year to kick start the Klassic Note song list, so...

In other news, Endou Yurika is quitting the entertainment industry, in case you don't know of her yet. *sob* (I know what about the game I've been playing? Pretty much means they're gonna kill Airi-chan in the main story to make sure she doesn't come back lol) (or they can just replace her too, yeah) (FYI she also stars in Anime "Tenshi no 3P" #noseason2, and some of you may know her from Anime/Game "BANG Dream" sub band Roselia; They're doing live events without her already lol)

Trying to get out of the bad news, sunday morning bell (if you still remember them back in 2012) is back, and what's more, they're releasing a new album next year. A new music video has already been released online. That's what happens if you do that project haha. Also benefiting from that, I now know Coalamode. has released a new single recently, but that I'll leave till next year instead. Sayuri's new single is slated for next year February too (thanks to Anime "Fate/EXTRA"), and last but not least, Sangatsu no Phantasia. I hope this time round I can give some of the songs mentioned above, but for Yurika-chan... I'm sorry I did not give your solo 3rd single. Didn't know it'll be your last *sob*

A bigger reason surrounding why I've made little progress this week is also that infection that's been hitting me, leading to a heck of a flu and plenty of coughs. (I'm just too tired to put them in here since I'm on antibiotics) Cya guys next week, and hopefully I'll get more done, in terms of schoolwork and here. I need to start earlier for the stars project though; I notice I cannot finish that many artists in one day. Maybe I should just do another part and make it five. I'll see about it.

The Entertainment News 2017 Edition Issue #50

Hey, welcome back. It's has been quite a week, but actually it's just me procrastinating most of the time, but yeah, I did get to kick start on the stuff I want to do this holiday season, so we shall see how long I can last lol I know I say that all the time as if I don't trust myself

On a side note, Ten-chan (Amamiya Sora) looks great when lying down. You should have seen my desktop wallpaper hehe

アニメ Just Because!
Someone please tell me Morikawa changed hairstyle because of Souma! Please! Otherwise there'll be no point to this!! lol
(*This was technically first but I watched it two days late lol) The new episode (#JustBecause09) of course, must complicate things to a new level. Remember man, that now Eita is trying to go to the college (university) Natsume is applying for before, and Natsume is trying to get into the school Eita was already accepted into. Haha, the troubles of romance lol. Anyways, let's talk about Morikawa before we jump into that. Blowing everyone's mind at school, the shorter-haired Morikawa definitely grabbed the attention of the class for good, and Souma's attention may just be a little underwhelming. Well, he did explain later that he doesn't want to get in the hype to stress her out any further, but you know, it could have been done earlier. Komiya is avoiding Eita after mentioning about confession last episode, and Natsume... let's say she is intending to face her emotions. To say the least, like Eita, she wants to chance upon him in college and maybe go out together or something, I don't know. It all comes down to this last few months already. With entrance exams still getting in the way, and Valentines just around the corner, I could not help but think this show can go one way or another. Man, you don't know how much I want a happy ending out of this.
This is the most honest reflection I've seen thus far, so I'll use this instead.
Natsume looking at herself really says things, especially with chocolate right beside her lol
P.S. Going by the looks of Eita's phone I can guarantee it's a HTC haha *adjusts glasses*
P.P.S. Wait, the ringtone on Natsume's phone is dog bark? lol On the other hand I kind of not appreciate her subtlety in talking to others, for example to Souma and to her sister. I mean, the sister kind of knows already, but why so she may not know. Maybe it's just me but I talk to my sister all the time. She don't talk her heart out to her sibling? I don't know.

アニメ Houseki no Kuni
NO DON'T DO IT DIA YOU CAN'T FIGHT THAT THING!! No seriously, don't. (Edit: I was proven wrong. Very wrong.)
Wow this new episode (#HousekiNoKuni10) is too much for me to comprehend already haha. After Bort's confrontation to Phos seeing her potential in combat, but hey that's not really much of a problem until you notice we're going to leave Dia out on this one. She's fine with it I guess (recall Episode 2) but what's more important is that how much it matters when something new from the moon appears. Since Sensei is sleeping it'll be hard to wake him up at any point (recall Episode 4), so Bort and Phos thought of taking it on while everyone "holds their position" (which may mean otherwise to some) and they fight off the bad guy. No seriously, WTF is that thing?? With no time to be amazed or shocked, it quickly chased them to the building, in which that moon thing caught on to Dia and she... had to fight it off. Hey, it's been some time already but hell yeah Dia for MVP. Problem is, she's in pieces. And mutation is not going to make the moon thing go away, as also shown from the next episode preview. Sounds like bad news, but let's see if Sensei will make it by the end of this season to resolve this. No really, I personally think that getting gem people taken away should not be a conclusion to this series. Please don't.
This episode in a nutshell.
I'm too freaked out to show that beast in the thumbnail so here's Dia hehe
P.S. I shall once again praise on the animation for using adequate blur with fog inside the building to make the 3DCG blend even well with the 2D animation. I'm still impressed with the quality of animation in this show.
P.P.S. The other thumbnail I thought of was the jellyfish part lol I forgot Phos can talk to animals haha the voting is amazing

アニメ Blend S
Well that was an interesting episode. The new episode (#BlendS10) talks about not Maika? You bet. Kaho-san has problems with her studying because she's playing games all day, and Mafuyu decides to be the grown-up (also genius) to help her out. Of course we'll reach the happy ending, and of course she'll miss the times, and all is well, yes? We also got a lesson in makeup class (I mean, look at that) thanks to Mafuyu who probably will look like a ghost without makeup, but seriously, makeup cannot change your face shape. Just a reminder, Akizuki. *laughs* Other than that, Mafuyu seems to have problems finding a partner who isn't into loli (because of the role she acts in the cafe), and suddenly Kaho-san likes to drink black coffee. All is normal in this cafe, yes? Also, I see a Kaho-san special coming my way, so I'll be looking forward to that. It feels awkward though, but not as awkward as Akizuki having to praise girls in this workplace lol
When everyone around you is crazy about sh*t you don't care about lol
P.S. "He was totally out of frame" We know she's not only mocking on Mafuyu but also the widescreen resolution of the camera, right? *silence* Eh, no?
P.P.S. Keeping it simple huh, Mafuyu? I like that too lol. Also, Hideri can't go without makeup, just so you all know haha

アニメ Sangatsu no Lion
You know what's good about school? It doesn't last longer than the rest of your life. On the other hand, 3D2N will still suck for one who doesn't have friends. Hmm, I wonder how I survived such an ordeal considering I don't have friends too lol
I'll say it again if Kiriyama didn't make it clear - "It's okay to hang in there. It's going to be over soon." The new episode (#3Lion31) talks about Hina-chan and her school trip?? Oops. Yep, they're bringing the bullying aftermath to the test. Of course, Kiriyama is there to help her out, and I must say it's anything better than what his saviour has done to him, to say the least. The Anime also did a good job to extend that mood and make sure it hits us at the right time, which I admire. Because if it's done by me I'll never write the story this way but make a probably more sarcastic Kiriyama like "Find you!" or something lol. Anyways, it's yet another wonderful episode, and as I mentioned above, Hina-chan, school is nothing but another bullying ground in society, and doesn't last. So just forget it and move on we've got better things to think about. For example, Kiriyama winning the Tournament. Well, he showed the opponent. Well, more like, Nikaidou showed him. His best friend showed him the way, so that his own temper doesn't get in the way of winning. Hey, that guy may have bullied (I'm overusing this word already) the one who cannot last due to his illness, but he's not going to bully a child prodigy who is in the pink of health hehe. No really, Kiriyama showed his opponent, so that's quite a good conclusion to this chapter at least.
The best face I've seen in this show.
You're great, Hina-chan.
(And I'm not normally into middle school girls too lol)
P.S. Okay I'm saying it here - This show could have been done in a less dark manner. No really, it's sad to watch. It's not Attack on Titan depressing, but it's sad. Real sad. Well, it's a world around Kiriyama after all so I won't say much

漫画 Dagashi Kashi
The new chapters (Omake, 93) are... Is no one going to comment on the Sayashi landing on the Kokonotsu scene?? (spoilers) Well I'll do it haha. Okay before that, the story concludes on the big storm arc with the dagashi shop sign dropping on the ground. The sweet this time around (besides the omake which is literally talking about Anime since this is when the first season came around when Volume 5 was published) involves stickers which were on the sign and the building, which makes it fun for kids to paste it anywhere they want. Well, so long as it's not my room we're fine haha. Okay, that scene. I think an image speaks a thousand words, so here. Now you can't unsee like I do. But seriously, Kokonotsu's reaction is underwhelming. Turns out he really doesn't like flat-che *gets punched in the face*
I know. Even I'm speechless haha

音楽 This Week on Klassic Note
Yeah, I'm giving GLIM SPANKY on that one song.

This week isn't much since I'm only reviewing one single, so let's quickly talk about it. YURiKA's new single isn't that interesting after all seeing she's an Anime singer, and I already gave the song as soon as the music video came out (which you should watch), so that is that. No seriously, I don't want to give the ending theme song for Anime "Houseki no Kuni", so this less than impressive opening theme will do.
I'm also sorting out this year's live videos and recalled I didn't give (I did not reject it btw) (*checks list* yep I didn't) GLIM SPANKY the first time around but now... well maybe I'll just give it haha. Taketatsu Ayana's best album will be shelved for consideration for next year's first batch of new songs (I do that often every year), and her new song for a new season of Anime "Dagashi Kashi"... let's just say it's very Anime haha. GRANRODEO and LuckLife are covering for the original Anime movie for "Bungou Stray Dogs" airing next year, and I want my next week to arrive quick haha

Speaking of next week, I'll likely be Amamiya Sora's new single (#idolhype) and two albums which are negoto's new album and amazarashi's new album respectively. I'll be looking forward to that. Also, I've safely reached 2000 songs in the Klassic Note music library now, but I'll not celebrate now because I've got other stuff to do. Did you see the two posts I coughed out over this weekend? Yeah, that wasn't easy.

This is it then. APoL is not any closer to my target for this year as my final year project's progress, so yeah. One is more important than the other so when the time comes... lol anyways, the holidays are just starting, so I better get moving. They say the more you let the monkey play around now the more that rational being has to steer the ship later, to drastic consequences. Until next time, guys. Bye!

The Dream Record 20171210

Hey. This is what happens if you take afternoon naps haha

Okay, I'll be quick on this one. To be honest, I thought of whether to do this one especially from that nap just now, and too much was happening. It's also one of those eureka moments I'd rather keep to use it on something (*wink* APoL) but I think sharing it is more fun. Besides, there's references, so I can openly talk about it. Also, I don't want to put the notes I just took in Entertainment News. (Remember I write these down immediately after waking up? Not this one) So yeah, let's get started.

(As usual brackets represent my comments)

"Story goes that there's this detective called 'Marstin' - derived from "Mars" in the name "Martin", is helping to solve an illegitimate child case involving a rich person's kid who might have biological parents who have came to seek Marstin for assistance. He agreed to help but the situation is as follows: The kid is known by the parents from a news broadcast of the kid involved in a serious accident, and is currently residing in a private doctor who sets shop on the middle of the town square. Setting is 19th century Europe for reference. However the place only allows male visitors for some reason - from doctors to workers to guards - and only so permission is only allowed in a case by case basis. The brainstorming appears in sight to reveal the couple mashed in together after a couple of iterations of disguise to reveal two guys instead of a male and female.
"If that's the case we can go in as a gay couple!" (sorry, everyone)
A couple of guys with crooked backs stand at the entrance of the shop in the middle of the night, dressed in untidy black suits standing in front of the door with a couple of guards. They request assistance to enter to visit the kid as they are distant relatives or something. The guard tells them to wait, walks into the large empty room onto behind a wall on the right - which can be totally seen from the outside despite the lack of lighting indoors besides where the guard is - and converses with supposedly the victim. He stops his words, looks back at the couple and shakes his head. The couple leave in sadness.
They then come back dressed as paramedics wheeling an injured person lying on his back on a stretcher. The guard tells them to leave but one of the explains, "Can't you see this person is (insert intestine disease which I cannot remember the name of) gravely ill? We just need to see the doctor! The rain is pouring outside and he needs assistance immediately!" The guards see what seems to be a ripped stomach and the guy moaning in pain, as if he is about to faint. The doctor appears behind the entrance and shouts, "Oh dear we need to help this guy! Get everyone here to help this person into the emergency room!" The guards heed the command and carry the patient in whilst chasing the couple away.
Inside the room, the patient wakes up to reveal that it is indeed Marstin the detective in disguise. "Thank goodness the parents acted their part well; I can never carry a real patient myself", he thought to himself. (I will explain this later) He gets out of the bed and hides with his back behind the bed facing away from the only door with a small window in it. He sees the large window to the left of him to notice an empty, dark alleyway with a light source on the near end, barely lighting half of the alley. He looks back in the door to notice the doctor entering the room.
"I need to do something to this guy."
The doctor immediately turns into a stack of paper which flies around in the room. Marstin quickly summons a bunch of strings stretched across the drawer on right end to the ceiling on the other end, similar to a clothesline. The paper then moves swiftly to be slotted messily between the lines. He then looks at his hand ready to do another summon but notices it is not working. "Oh I'm using too much magic! Too much magic..." He talks to himself while tapping on the desk beside the bed he was hiding behind. "Maybe I should just tie the doctor up instead, but how...?" Suddenly, he hears a knock on the door!"

Yeah, this is it. (Audience: Aw, we were enjoying this!) Haha me too. Before references though, let me clarify a couple of things not mentioned to not affect story flow. Everything in dashes which include detail count towards the dream and is not part of me making this story complete. That is how complete the story is btw. Also, the detective mentioned his plan because I didn't know where to slot this in. (Get it? Haha I meant the paper lol) So the summary is as follows: The first couple who appeared at the door is actually not the couple, but Marstin creating doubles of the couple to appear at the door. There's no way to prove it because my brain didn't come up with a way to prove they are real. The second time then is the real couple carrying Marstin disguised as the father who has a serious illness - which is not shown here again but is represented in looks which I cannot describe here. The doctor then calls for the patient to be brought in which is easy since the right person sneaked in. Lastly, Marstin is a hint to be a magician disguised as a detective to solve problems for the common people, even though the name suggests otherwise.

I know, right? This is so mystery movie worthy. Okay, maybe not the gay part but I only said it, and no sex scenes are included anyway, so... #samesexquality

Okay, references. The setting was clearly from the 19th century-based manga Kuroshitsuji which I read (the shop was at a T-junction looked in from the left corner), after that I guess it's influenced by video games especially the dark setting in the shop so it looks like a sci-fi movie with a GTA V hospital horror setting during Halloween (the Adversary Mode is Slasher btw), for example. Marstin "the detective" image is thanks to this image hehe (that's voice actress Hidaka Rina with a hair change btw), and the name is thought up as soon as the ending happens, and feels like one of those Disney Looney Tunes ending cartoon punch lines in the 60s (YouTube videos, don't remember which one) with that wacky name. Interesting, huh? How all these can come together.

The brain is such a wonderful thing. It brings in all the stuff you can recall and puts it in any random setting and let all the stuff clash onto each other. That's why I like dreams. That's why I can remember them. Well, not for long, but still. Things like this tend to stay, and I like that. Also, don't let me put copyright on this thing because this idea is MINE!! OKAY, MINE!! Haha cya guys later for Entertainment News.

The Klassic Note "Searching Stars Project" Part 1

I know it's just me finding out what most (if not, all) the artists are doing now so I can find new songs haha, but yeah that's pretty much it.

In here, as part of the #KN10YEARS series (I'm not going to use that tag officially to any extent btw) I shall explore all the artists I've at least given a song to and find out what got me started, and what they have been doing now, as well as a couple of little snippets I can share up till this point. First things first - it's all text, so if this bores you, so search for the artist images if you want lol. Anyways, it'll be done in four parts (hopefully, if not more) and I'll try to cover as many as I can, of course, excluding the artists whom I've given in 2017. The list shall follow the one from Hall of Fame (if you don't know that's a thing yet go to the Official Website), and shall be done in the following 5W1H format: [unless stated otherwise, in square brackets]
  • Who are they [for the sake of convenience I shall include Japanese names]
  • What was their best impression thus far/back then
  • When I started
  • Where did it get lost, if I did [Does not apply to active artists]
  • Why I will still care [Don't care may apply to inactive artists or one-hit wonders]
  • How are they doing now: The good, the bad, and whatever applies to them today

[*Information accurate as of 2017.12.09]
Let's get started then!

UVERworld
  • Back then in 2007 they were just a rock band as far as I can remember
  • The only one song that was on my list, "D-tecnolife" as part of Anime "BLEACH" opening theme song. That song left an impression.
  • They were in from 2007 thanks to "BLEACH" which was part of the first list of songs in Klassic Note
  • Stopped because it's just a one-hit wonder, and back then I did not put much emphasis on them since there were many artists around from the start
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They're doing pretty good, if you have been following them. I probably don't care now because they have changed style. Drastically. I mean, they're called "fusion band" now? What the heck is that??
Rie fu
  • Singer, songwriter, both, inspiring artist for the least common J-Pop
  • Hmm... best of her was probably back when her series of singles leading up to her album "URBAN ROMANTIC" in 2009. Still the highest reviewed album in the 10 years I've followed her
  • Started from 2007, thanks to Anime "BLEACH" on her first ending theme song
  • [Active Artist]
  • I care because I like her own style of music, mostly. She also sings English songs which makes her relevant to be an English singer too in Klassic Note
  • She's toured Asia and UK for the past few years (still my biggest regret to not see her live, for free), and is staying in UK to release songs in English and J-Pop once in a while, so yeah, she's pretty much alive
Younha [ユンナ]
  • (South) Korean born singer, songwriter maybe, at this point actress I don't know
  • Japanese songs were her best? Yeah, of course her best was from Anime "BLEACH" when she sings the ending theme; Her period of activity from 2008-2010 is a close second
  • Started from 2007 thanks to "BLEACH"
  • Stopped because she is now active in K-Pop industry which means her coming back is unlikely. I've been proven wrong before though.
  • I care because of her great singing voice, if anyone wants to agree with me, which shows how much she is still active, at least as a singer
  • She's active in K-Pop since... 2011-2012? Yeah, and did show intention for her return to J-Pop releasing a mini-album in 2014, but not ever since
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
  • Rock band, focusing on punk rock most of the time
  • This one is tough, but my best impression was a B-side song back in 2008 called "Hanafubuki", which is coincidentally their disbandment single (more on that later)
  • From 2007, thanks to Anime "BLEACH" once again
  • Stopped due to disbandment (more below)
  • I'll care because I missed their music style, and want to hear more before they can be always in my list. Sadly, that didn't last long.
  • They disbanded in 2008 following a new formation with a replaced vocalist, but that didn't last long too. Fully disbanded in 2010 after their final single
Horie Yui [堀江由衣]
  • Anime artist, voice actress, idol (one of the longest-living at this point)
  • This one maybe hard, but anything that has her singing romance songs is always a joy to listen, from Anime "Toradora!" to "Golden Time"
  • Started from 2007, from Anime "Love Hina" if I didn't remember wrongly, and more significantly in 2008 from Anime "Toradora!" with an ending and opening theme song
  • I've not gotten that far to forget about her yet
  • Yes, just her cute voice and how well she fits into singing. As always, voice actors make good singers. Just, only for Anime songs.
  • She's doing pretty good; she released her anniversary live release in 2017, but her latest single was back in 2015 though, so (as a singer) she's still fairly active?
YUI
  • Singer-songwriter on the streets, picked up by major label and instantly became a J-Pop sensation in the past decade
  • This is really hard tbh, so all of her songs
  • Started from 2007, again, from Anime "BLEACH" with ending theme "LIFE" and then opening theme "Rolling star"
  • She stopped, not me
  • Her unique voice coupled with her own pop music style over the years did capture my attention consistently
  • She's not doing great tbh because she stopped her solo career in 2012 (it's a dark story so go find out yourself) and came back in 2014 with self-established band "FLOWER FLOWER" and has been semi-active since
Aqua Timez
  • Pop-rock band, distinctive in singing songs with own unique style and sophisticated, lengthy lyrics
  • Their early days are literally the best which covered up till 2012 for me as I explore their songs from when they started
  • Started from 2007, following Anime "BLEACH" opening theme song and more notably for Anime "BLEACH Movie" theme song
  • Can't stop, won't stop
  • Because they are real good. They symbolize a style which I identify in Klassic Note, and will always change and continue to impress
  • They've not done much since their newest album in 2016, but still impressive as I continue to grab songs from their new song lists
Takacha [タカチャ]
  • Singer-songwriter, focusing on pop and rap music
  • His theme song from Anime "BLEACH" was good
  • From 2007, Anime "BLEACH"
  • I guess I kind of stopped since 2011 when I gave his mini-album topic song "Omae wa Ore no Taiyou"
  • His style is good, I guess, but it doesn't really stay inside me, so I didn't give more. Also, he's not that active of an artist
  • He's still releasing new songs as far as I can see on his Twitter, but focusing on backstage and DJ production, so... maybe not?
Kishidan [氣志團]
  • Rock band, but if you think they look like one you should notice they are
  • Their only one song which had a deep-rooted impression way before Klassic Note started should not be mentioned of (lol)
  • From 2007, with their (way too) popular song "One Night Carnival"
  • It was kind of a hit and miss, and honestly I don't enjoy any form of rapping from them
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They are still active, in case you wonder, going on lives and actively performing. Releasing songs? Not so much. Their last single was dated 2015 though.
Koda Kumi [倖田來未]
  • Singer for generic pop songs, also popular in the past decade
  • Impression was only left on the first song I remembered giving in Klassic Note
  • From 2007, with song "Koi no Tsubomi"
  • I didn't stop as to say not interested, as I mentioned all the time I do not like to support very popular artists, and the song was just the one
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She's still active in the industry despite starting at the start of the new millennium; She released at least two albums and two singles in 2017, so that's really active
Hoshimura Mai [星村麻衣]
  • Singer-songwriter for pop songs, sometimes solo pianist
  • Impression from the only song I have ever given from her, also Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song
  • From 2007, along with the first batch of "BLEACH" theme songs I gave
  • She didn't really fascinate me with her compositions or music style per se, and hearing generic pop won't get her on the list seeing the competition (refer to Ikimonogakari)
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She has changed music labels and settled on one which supports her music composition (ie. not major label) since 2010. Her image has changed too, and she released a new single in 2017 and is her second since her best album (since 2010) released in 2014
ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION
  • Rock band, focusing on alternative rock even though present day I feel otherwise
  • This is going to be hard considering they have many great hits, but specifically from 2008-2010 are their best in my opinion
  • From 2007, along with their first song from Anime "BLEACH" opening theme song "After Dark"
  • I'm just waiting for new songs right here, not that re-release of that 2nd album... (see below)
  • I care because of their unique rock music style, even though now I would say otherwise mainly because of the transitions swaying a lot more compared to artists I know of like Aqua Timez. Vocalist and composer Masafumi Gotoh solo career in 2014 has helped change the band's feel and style, and not really for the better
  • They are doing well recently, but for this year they only released one single, following last year's re-release of one of their singles "Re:Re" and their original 2nd album back in 2004 "Sol-fa"
BEAT CRUSADERS
  • Rock band focusing some om punk rock, but mostly generic rock
  • Impression from the only song given which is also Anime "BLEACH" opening theme song
  • From 2007, along with first batch of "BLEACH" theme songs
  • I just don't feel with their rock style, seeing their image (search their profile images online) and me not feeling much for their other songs
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They have officially disbanded by the end of 2010 with a final album
Chatmonchy [チャットモンチー]
  • Three-piece rock band turned two-piece, playing generic and alternative rock
  • This is hard as usual since I've heard them for many years, but their releases from 2009-2010 are the best I suppose
  • From 2007, with first song given in Anime "BLEACH" ending theme, setting underwhelming first impressions
  • They stopped, not me (refer below)
  • I care because they are one of those that I can identify with in music style, along with lyrics that are emotional
  • As of 2017 they have announced their disbandment after releasing a final album in 2018. They have been fairly unstable since the drummer left in 2011, leaving them to themselves in 2012, joining with other partner bands from 2013-2015, and returning back to two-piece band since late 2016. It has been rough, but still fairly active as long as Klassic Note is concerned
HOME MADE Kazoku [HOME MADE 家族]
  • Rap band focusing on rap songs and pop songs
  • It's a long runner here already, and to be honest they haven't been spectacular, but I particularly enjoyed their releases from 2009-2011
  • From 2007, with first batch of Anime "BLEACH" theme songs
  • They stopped later than I thought, to say the least
  • I care because it's one of the few (second to Lil'B, will mention below) artists which I appreciate their rapping in music. Most of the others I just avoid or ignore
  • As of 2016 they have disbanded and have moved on their own paths. No solo activity yet as of now as they focus (in their 40s) on music-related activities and back-end production as far as I know and seeing from their Twitter account which is still constantly updated
Ikimonogakari [いきものがかり]
  • Pop band with two male composers and a female vocalist
  • They are already honorary members of Klassic Note already like some others, so don't ask. They release like, an album a year on their active years too, so it'll be heard to choose.
  • From 2007, with first song from Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "HANABI"
  • Quiet doesn't mean stopped, okay?
  • I care because they are underrated outside of the country, to say the least. Their lack of exposure to overseas performance coupled with their compositions to pop music keeps me hooked
  • As of 2016 they released their anniversary best album which I have reviewed before (be sure to check that out), and have been quiet in 2017. I hope it's not bad news. They are slated to release a vinyl compilation of all their albums in early 2018 though.
JUNE
  • (South) Korean-based pop singer, dabbles in music composition
  • His only song in Klassic Note which is also Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song
  • From 2007, with only song "Baby It's You" in Klassic Note
  • I stopped, because it's only the one song. Besides, not a big fan of soul-based songs back then in 2007-2008
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • As of now (according to his official website) he's a song producer and writer for many groups in Japan and (South) Korea especially, starting from joining as a vocalist in group "WAZZ UP" in 2011, going to military conscription in 2015 as hiatus and came back in 2017 to continue to write new songs
ORANGE RANGE
  • Pop-rap group focusing on hype-up songs and rap mostly
  • Their only song which is also first theme song to Anime "BLEACH" was my first and best impression thus far
  • From 2007, with the one song I gave "Asterisk"
  • Didn't delve much further since I didn't like their style much, and rap is out of my league especially when you notice there are groups like HOME MADE Kazoku
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • As of 2017 they have released new songs, are active in yearly live performances. Started on their own run label 2010 (it's common these days tbh) and has since then been actively producing and writing their own tunes, 2017 was their 15th anniversary and they are slated to go on tour after their new release in two years in November
ORESKABAND [オレスカバンド]
  • Six-piece jazz band focusing on rock and jazz songs
  • Their best impression has got to be (in no order of bias) their first song I gave which came with the Anime tie-in (of which you should be familiar, will mention below) and their two mini-albums from 2008-2009 which showed off their style of music as basis
  • From 2007, with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Tsumasaki"
  • Can't stop, won't stop
  • I care because they are a rarity. Hardly you'll walk into the streets to see their popularity soar especially in overseas as they travel the world to find out they have large audiences in the West. Their initial focus on rock music also attracted me to their style of music, though their balance to include brass instruments is also vital to their identity
  • As of this year they released their first 7-inch EP "Groovin' Work Stylee" after their new album in end of 2016 "Slogan". This was after their leaving of the major label around 2014, and changing of one of the members in 2016 following departure due to pregnancy reasons
Skoop On Somebody
  • Soul and R&B duo also writing pop songs and soul music
  • Their only impression was from Anime "BLEACH"
  • From 2007, with "BLEACH" theme song "happypeople"
  • I didn't continue on their journey because they are highly inactive even back then, and even so their melodies didn't hit me as much
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • They have been steadily releasing new songs since their departure from major label with a new album in 2017, which also marks the group's 20th anniversary
SunSet Swish
  • Three-piece J-Pop band focusing on pop songs
  • Their best impression is likely their first song in Klassic Note thanks to Anime tie-in once again
  • From 2007, with Anime "BLEACH" theme song "My Pace"
  • It was kind of on and off before their disbandment and hiatus (refer below), and even so I didn't find no reason to give them another chance as I place more songs on my list
  • I care because they represent a different voice in J-Pop industry, and it's hard to find a male group which sounds this good on their own, writing their own songs
  • They have announced disbandment in 2011 which then bounced back in 2015 when they suddenly announced a return in late 2015 with a digital single, but have since gone quiet in releases and focusing on performing lives
Tsuji Ayano [つじ あやの]
  • Singer-songwriter, producer, ukulele player, among many other stuff she does
  • Her only impression for her own performance was from Movie "The Cat Returns" theme song
  • From 2007, with "The Cat Returns" theme song "Kaze ni Naru"
  • Her vocals may be the biggest turn-off for following her releases, despite her excelling in composition and production behind the scenes for other artists throughout the years
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She has since left major label and focused on solo activities and writing for other artists. Her solo dated album was in 2010 and her last single was dated 2008
(Can we skip the next few artists? No?)

=======LIGHTNING ROUND!!=======
Hirose Koumi [広瀬香美]
  • Anime artist for early days Anime in the 90s, also composer and producer
  • [One Hit Wonder, so impressions, first song and how long it lasted applies]
  • She concluded (I did not mention disbandment) her solo career with a best album in 2012 shortly after running her own live streams and singing new songs for the then 2011 earthquake in the name of charity. She has been actively writing songs for artists ever since.
Kimura Yumi [木村弓]
  • Solo artist famous for Anime works, productions, and her skillful performance of the lyre
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She works with Miyazaki on Studio Ghibli films (which is the only song I gave), and is fairly active in writing songs and music and performance with her lyre on music stages
GUMI
  • Solo artist, singer-songwriter and very active Anime producer and writer
  • [One Hit Wonder, and is also hers (see below)]
  • She has only used this artist name in Anime "Cardcaptor Sakura", and has used her producer name "meg rock" ever since, and is an active player in the Anime music industry as I've seen that name pop up many times. Under this name she has released a couple of Anime releases until 2011, and has been focused in music production since
Hayashibara Megumi[林原めぐみ]
  • Voice actress, Anime singer, sometimes lyricist
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She has been very active in the Anime music industry it seems, and as of 2017 she released a single and an album. Impressive for someone who started in the 90s and is still fairly active today. Remember the only one who was in this list like her is Horie Yui.
=====END OF LIGHTNING ROUND=====

KELUN
  • Three-piece rock band focusing on generic rock
  • Their best impression was in 2008 where their single with Anime tie-in and album left a good impression
  • From 2008, with Anime "BLEACH" opening theme song "CHU-BURA"
  • I didn't stop, they did it first
  • I actually care because at that point I want more.
  • They ended their activities in late 2009 after their first full album in 2008 (yeah), and has since gone quiet
KOTOKO
  • Anime singer, sometimes Anime song lyricist and to a less extent composer and producer
  • Her best impression was from 2008 in her singing of Anime "Shakugan no Shana" theme songs
  • From 2008, with Anime "Shakugan no Shana" opening theme song "being"
  • I kind of didn't follow through since she was less than active recently, and before that I'm not a crazy fan of beat-based pop tunes
  • I care because I like her unique singing voice, and coupled with the right songs it'll make her great (eg. Anime "Shakugan no Shana" theme songs she has done once per season)
  • She has been focusing on lyric writing for some time already, but as a solo artist she is fairly active in collaboration and releasing songs under her own name once in a while. In 2017 I gave a song she sang at Anisama live event titled "unfinished" and released back in 2012
Kawada Mami [川田まみ]
  • Anime singer-songwriter, sometimes Anime lyricist and composer, maybe producer
  • Her best impression wasn't really on her first, but in 2008 another theme song from Anime "Shakugan no Shana" hit my heart with an emotional song titled "Akai Namida"
  • From 2008, with Anime "Shakugan no Shana" opening theme song "Hishoku no Sora"
  • She stopped earlier than I thought she should
  • I care because I liked her singing voice, even though like KOTOKO she suffers from the same problem of producing Anime songs, so those beats will not get to me as I don't prefer them. Though through the years, she has sung more variety of songs compared to the former
  • She has announced a stop to her solo singing activities with a final album in 2016 and has since and even before, write songs and lyrics for dozens of Anime artists, not and including for KOTOKO, among many others. She is slated to be one of the future prospective Anime producers in the industry too
Lil’B aka MIE&AILA
  • Pop and rap music duo, famous for Anime tie-ins
  • Their best impression overall is in romance songs sung outside of Anime theme songs typically, with most prominent in 2008 "Kimi ni Uttata Love Song"
  • From 2008, with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Orange"
  • They stopped, and I'll tell you why later
  • I care because I missed them. A lot. I'm not even joking. Their unique position in the music industry makes them most palatable for my tastes in Klassic Note and despite less than high impressions, they make of something to remember for the long run
  • They have announced hiatus following rapper AILA pursue for higher education (ie. university) and has since been a solo thing featuring singer MIE running her own performances. She released an album in 2013 under the group name and has thus gone quiet in releases. MIE is still active as a singer in live performances though, seeing her Twitter account
Sakamoto Maaya [坂本真綾]
  • Anime singer, voice actress
  • Her best impression should be her first song I gave too which is from Anime "Cardcaptor Sakura"
  • From 2008, with "Cardcaptor Sakura" opening theme song "Purachina"
  • So long as it's Anime, I'll give a chance, and we do cross paths, in case you wonder
  • I care because it's Anime, mainly. I won't say she's in One Hit Wonder territory, but technically speaking when I give only when I watch the related Anime, then yes maybe it is
  • She is active in Anime music industry with some attention from me once in a while however the only other time I gave a song is for Anime "Koufuku Graffiti" in 2015, but I assure you, she is active and in 2018 is going to release a new single for Anime "Fate/Grand Order"
pe’zmoku
  • Combination of jazz band "PE'Z" and acoustical singer-songwriter "suzumoku"
  • Their best impression has got to be their first song I gave which is from Anime "BLEACH"
  • From 2008, with "BLEACH" ending theme song "Gallop"
  • I didn't really lose them as fast as they ended their collaboration per se, so I'll say no because I've been actively watching them for new songs over the years they are active
  • I care because it's a unique amalgamation (#vocabulary) between jazz and acoustics, and I think that's really cool. I wouldn't say their melodies are fantastic but the unique style kind of compensates it to some extent. It didn't last long though
  • They have been active from 2007 to 2009 and has since stopped after a full album release in 2009. Nothing else much to talk about there. You can explore the individual groups separately if you want to. For my discussion I will mention about PE'Z in Part 2 probably
RSP  (also Real Street Project)
  • Pop music group which originally consisted of a singer duo and a backup dance group
  • Their impressions lie not on Anime tie-ins but actually romance songs outside of Anime, and to be biased to one of them is not giving the producers behind them enough credit
  • From 2008, with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Kansha."
  • I've listened to them when they were active
  • I care because the combination of vocals are unique, and that extended further with great melodies since then and has kept the momentum for their style for some time
  • RSP has split into the vocals who have kept the original name and "d-RSP" the dance group in 2009, and has been active for two years before their 2nd album in 2011
RYTHEM
  • Pop singer-songwriter duo consisting of YUKA (also yucat) and YUI (also Neat's, Niitsu Yui)
  • Their best impression might just be one of the topic songs from their final called "Mudai", It expresses their emotions for disbandment (will elaborate later on this) and affection towards family and friends well
  • From 2008, with song "Love Call" in collaboration with Kimaguren
  • They stopped before I could hear more
  • I care because they symbolize a different take on J-Pop music unlike the generic ones from Ikimonogakari to YUI, and also has unique harmony when singing together
  • After their best album in 2009, RYTHEM has in 2010 released a final album and single and disbanded into their solo career counterparts. YUKA has since transitioned to "yucat" focusing on Dark Gothic image with electronic punk rock and emo pop tunes as base and has since released 5 mini-albums under this name. YUI went on to sing similar pop styles as the group under "Neat's", releasing three albums till date and will move on to use her real name in 2018 as final transition to solo career development
Sambomaster [サンボマスター]
  • Rock n' Roll three-piece band, sometimes generic pop and rock
  • Their best impression might be their early songs, including hits such as "Sekai wa Sore wo Ai to Yobundaze" and Anime theme songs and later hits in 2009 such as "Sekai wo Kaesasete Okureyo"
  • From 2008, with Movie "BLEACH" theme song "Hikari no Rock"
  • Can't stop rock n' roll, bro
  • I care because they have the most generic rock style I've ever hear in the J-Rock industry, and their own rock n' roll style is just impeccable and super memorable
  • As of 2017 they have released a single and album to much social media attention (as with over the years too ever since changing labels) and has performed consistently in live and rock festivals throughout the country
THYME
  • Three-piece pop-rock band singing more often for Anime songs
  • Their only impression was from the Anime tie-in which I didn't watch but thought the song was great, so what a coincidence
  • From 2008, with Anime " Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora" opening theme song "Fly Away"
  • They've stopped as a band. Period.
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • After their final album as a group in 2008, they have announced disbandment in 2010 and the vocalist who originally used this name as her solo back in 2002 (omg) reused it to purpose and further her solo career, and has been fairly active ever since. I don't notice any new songs though. She can be found on Twitter (@thyme_singer)
VELTPUNCH
  • Rock band (of varying band size) which focus on punk rock and emo rock
  • Their best impression was from the first song given which is also their only Anime tie-in
  • From 2008, with Anime "Nabari no Ou" opening theme song "CRAWL"
  • Can't stop, won't stop
  • I care because I've believed them in soul that they deliver great music that sounds in my heart. Their emotion and strength makes them one of the more unique alternative rock bands in the J-Rock industry despite their lack of popularity
  • As of 2016 they have came back from their hiatus back in 2012 with a best album and since 2015 released two singles and an album within two years with a new band structure (which technically isn't the first since they did this twice before in 2008 and in 2011 - refer to "The Artist Changes And How Much It Matters")
SID [シド]
  • Four-piece rock band focusing on mostly generic rock and sometimes punk rock after slight transition to a major label since 2008 (before was focus on pop rock)
  • Their best impression was mostly from the emotional songs they sang from 2009-2010
  • From 2008, with Anime "Kuroshitsuji" opening theme song "Monochrome no Kiss"
  • Can't stop, won't stop
  • I care because I feel their melodies resonate within me, especially emotional ones, but recently they have proven otherwise. Besides that I have no comment on why I still care till this point, maybe because I miss the old style which they still present from time to time
  • As of 2017 they releases two singles (one for Anime Movie "Kuroshitsuji ~Book of Atlantic~") and an album, so I would say that is fairly active considering they have been quieter than most active bands since around 2014
STEREOPONY [ステレオポニー]
  • Three-piece rock band focusing on generic rock, maybe punk rock
  • Their best impression was likely from their emotional tunes, most notably from 2010 single "OVER DRIVE"
  • From 2008, with Anime "BLEACH" ending theme song "Hitohira no Hanabira"
  • They have disbanded, so what can I say?
  • I care because I think they are prospective as a popular rock band, but that kind of took a wrong turn and ended up in disappointment, to my surprise. Their melodies are still better than the average and I wished I could hear more even with slight transition to more punk music before they disbanded
  • STEREOPONY has since left the music industry after their disbandment in 2012 with a single and a best album. Vocalist AIMI's throat couldn't take it; it was sad. Read it on Wikipedia yourself
Tainaka Sachi [タイナカ彩智]
  • Singer-songwriter, music producer
  • Her best impression was from the first song I ever gave to be honest, from 2008
  • From 2008, with song "Mou Kiss Sarechatta"
  • She didn't stop, but what's stopping me? (More below)
  • I care because now she presents her solo career in a different light, and I'm getting used to it. I'm also giving chances to her compositions hoping to give her more songs but to no avail
  • She has been fairly active since her departure from major label in 2012 and has released albums pretty much every year since. I've listened to her album in 2014 and her 10th anniversary album in 2016
Porno Graffitti [ポルノグラフィティ]
  • Pop duo, songwriters themselves, sometimes back-end production
  • Their first impression for me was also the first song I gave, and also the early days Klassic Note between 2008-2009
  • From 2008, with song "Gift"
  • Not stopping as far as me and my enthusiasm knows
  • I care because they have been long-time good, to say the least. Not outstanding, but still good. As of now it feels like they have been below average to more which just means I won't get to hear them often but still
  • In 2017 they releases a couple of singles before releasing an album, so I'll say that's fairly active. I've not been kind to their songs though since 2014 and only back in 2016, and even then I've not heard their new album yet. Sad.
SPECIAL OTHERS
  • Four-piece instrumental band, focusing on pop rock and post rock
  • Their best impression should be on their 2009 album release "PB", with their topic song of the same name being the best
  • From 2008, thanks to "NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION" with music piece "Laurentech"
  • Can't stop, won't stop
  • I care because they are the first and only surviving music-based artist I know of today, and are still the best in Klassic Note
  • Recent years they have reached 10th year anniversary, so collaborations with other artists to write songs instead is their way of celebration. As of 2016 they released a full album, and in 2017 they released their 2nd collaboration mini-album

=======LIGHTNING ROUND!!=======
Aya Kamiki [上木彩矢]
  • Singer-songwriter for J-Pop music, sometimes rock and even R&B
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She is doing well after the first time I heard of her in 2008, and is still consistently releasing new songs, so be sure to check her out if you like her style. Personally I think it's okay but as I say again, it's about melody, and there's good reason why it's a one hit wonder
Gojo Mayumi [五條真由美]
  • Singer, typically Anime songs, but also sings regular pop songs too
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • She is still fairly active in the music industry today, mainly singing for Anime and doing English cover songs apparently. She does release own songs outside of Anime though from 2005-2013, but not that I cared that much to be honest
Kitahara Aiko [北原愛子]
  • Singer-songwriter mainly for pop and Anime songs
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • In 2011 she announced her retirement (yeah, not disband, not hiatus) from the music industry so that's a rare one. Then again ever since I gave her this song in 2008 she hasn't been really active already, even though if that's the case I wouldn't have bothered
Uura Saeka [宇浦冴香]
  • Singer-songwriter for Anime songs, typically runs freelance
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • Hmm this one has some history. She now uses her real name Uura Saeko or URAN to do freelance composition and music ie. not tied to particular agency, for her songs. After giving that one Ayakashi song (lol) in 2008 she went on to release new albums, eventually jumping to another name "Cherie" in 2011 and back to the name above in 2012, and later coming back in 2016 with this new name, after settling her marriage due to the hiatus
Kojima Megumi [小島めぐみ]
  • Anime voice actress, idol singer I presume (see below)
  • [One Hit Wonder]
  • This one has little history, so I'll presume a lot here. She was fairly active in voice acting only until 2007, once for Anime "SKET DANCE" in 2012, and that's it. I believe she stopped the work already since she is not that popular and her Anime roles aren't aplenty, and that there isn't much social media presence of her today. So I'll take it that she retired due to lack of popularity. Not the first one I know, but yeah, rare case
=====END OF LIGHTNING ROUND=====

TIL I know how to name genres lol. Okay, enough of those, I'm done for this week. Stay tuned for next week to see if I will continue this for another three weeks. Yes, this is divided into four parts so I don't collapse on the work load. Cya guys next week, and we'll see how much I can carry on for this lol. Stay tuned tonight for Entertainment News. I hope to not do this so that it'll be a post a day over the weekend, but we'll see. It's heck a lot just to type all this out. Research is just a small part of this report. Just like real reports. The testing and research are just a fraction of that 300-word report. *laughs slowly* Haha bye
