The Klassic Note Song Awards 2022

Welcome to the Klassic Note Song Awards 2022!

I'm Aozaki Shouhei, Klassic Note's only listener and judge. It's that time of the year again, where I sit down in front of my PC at the end of the year to give out awards and rank the songs I listen over the year. This year shows the return of normality as the world continues to burn, but as it recovers we see more artists come back year after year, being more active and such over the Internet, it can only mean better things from here as the competition of mainstream over solo artists go stronger than ever. As I dig into past year songs to discover new artists, I also continue to go back to ones I've liked, get hype over new announcements over the Internet every week, and enjoy the liberty of online live performances posted online where more music than ever were taken to online video platforms to grab our attention. In every corner, we will always find something that can impress us, no doubt.

As usual, I will state this every year and I will state it again, the results below do not fully represent the many songs I listen to for the year. New songs aren't exactly impressive on the mainstream side but they are comfort food and I take all of those. More innovation is definitely seen on the solo artists side as many of them turn into composition and lyric-writing roles, trying to show their prowess in making songs their way. We have more than ever Collection Artists hitting the numbers and joining the reign so that's good news, with many more on their way seeing how much they have contributed within the year too. We also have almost hit 100% in Apple Music adoption of songs I've listened to which only shows how far we have come since the early days of music streaming where nothing is available and I still had to rely on the Internet community to review new songs. The songs come from more forms and genres than ever, so I try my best to give recognition to as many of them artists as I can. As you will see below, it has only been harder than ever mainly due to be plateauing on my opinions for new songs trying to impress. It has been #KN15YEARS too, by the way, so the pressure is even harder by the year to give unique songs that are good.

The results below will be split into six segments, with the first two covering statistics and analysis of the songs given this year and how they fare. Diagrams will be shown in some segments to give a better overall picture rather than just displaying tables of data. Finally, I'll conclude on with The Top 20 and an audio edit of them by yours truly, so to give you a better idea of what songs truly represent the year around in terms of general mood for the year when it comes to music around me.

(Results finalised on 31/12/2022)

STATISTICS
This year, I have given a total of 255 songs over the past 12 months. I've spent more time on each release longer compared to past years in recognition of their efforts, and find comfort in giving familiar artists and new artists I picked up alike. The Internet might have helped with exposure even more, and with music streaming services it has become easier than ever to give any recommendation I see a chance, hopefully providing than enough bandwidth to listen new songs too. It did not stop the momentum of giving new songs though; I am just giving more songs per release, more than ever.

Firstly, I break down the songs to who sings them and sort them by artist composition and gender, giving a good look into a usual heavy bias of female solo artists singing good songs, also known as the Vocal Styles Popularity Survey. For this year, Female Solo vocals have risen to the yearly average of 1.3 to 1 against Male Solo vocals, which shows a nice balance of mainstream artists against female solo artists for the year..

Then, we have the Song Integrity Survey. Initially taken as an experimental analysis in Klassic Note to fix my biased opinions of what is a good song, now it is used as a guide to follow past years judgement criteria so my judgement don't go too far off the perpendicular. As I give further detailed analysis to the many songs defaulted to the generic 4-star category, this survey then is an attempt to give a better insight into how most of the songs are rated. It is also became the new benchmark in recent years in pushing me to give more 5-star songs which were then based on early impression which is not possible now with maturity of my song judgement bias. As you can see, there is higher tendency to give more 4-star songs as songs are rated slighy above average rank instead of promoting them to 5-stars.

Thirdly, we have the generic statistics of the songs of the year. These include language (for those with a vocalist), year of release (old songs can appear in the list as far as 2002 for this year), Anime songs (because when I say "sometimes" on Twitter I meant this) and B-side analysis for singles which is a direct representation of proving that songs which are good need not be their release's topic songs, and we should give more criticism and praise to songs not under intentional spotlight.

Last but not least, we have the Song Appetite Report. The chart represents how many songs I've given every month, and show peak and trough periods typically based on release month dependent on the music industry or periods of time where I just want to give more or less songs. I would say despite the difficulties and therefore delays in releasing new songs this particular year, many still were released in due time, and therefore did not miss much in terms of leaving an impression in Klassic Note, and I am thankful for that. Exceptions do apply though, where certain releases are still out of reach with the return of love event-only releases.

SONG OF THE DAY
Every day is unique as it is special; songs that surface in our minds will set us in a mood and drive our everyday lives. From waking up to going to sleep, there's always a different melody that will pop up in my mind from listening to the huge amount of songs within and in past years. I would confidently say that my mood for the year could be summarised with the songs I'm listening to every single day.

And that's why we have a tie this year so congrats Kroi and Ryokuoushoku Shakai for being the most memorable Songs of the Year in 2022!!

The first two tables below show what are the most popular songs I've listened for the year and for each month. The last two tables show the most popular songs to wake up and sleep to to give a different perspective as to how they potentially can feel if you start and end the day with maybe. Criteria are subject to conditions in sleeping habits, mood, and mostly due to songs I've listened recently during certain times of the day.

Starting from 2019, Song of the Day has been transformed into a rank-based system, where every mention pushes you up one rank so that rank sharing will make sense. The results shouldn't show much of a difference though, but it will more accurately reflect on the position of songs within.

RELEASE RANKINGS
Klassic Note may be all about the songs, but what is with songs if they aren't released in some form? I say that though, but with the rise of digital singles and how music is distributed more often through digital platforms instead of coming up with physical releases to substantiate music libraries, it's always in comfort to listen to albums every once in a while. Many releases performed better than ever as I spend more time with them this year, and I continue to give more songs beyond the one or two topic songs with a music video. Many artists are going for more than one good album with the world opening up, and we do see this year some are adding a couple of singles and/or new songs from time to time within the year. Regardless of their approach, I will still give them due attention, but with best albums looming from artists we've known for long time and mini-albums being a conventional middle between bulk and single releases, I will still give them praise to the albums and surprising singles I have given throughout the year.

In Klassic Note, top singles are determined by (1) whether they are in Klassic Note Review ie. all songs of the single have been given and is not digital only release and (2) how good they fare in impression, so ratings come to place. Details for giving these singles shall not be discussed further since there is The Klassic Note Review for your reference. Top albums are determined mostly by how many songs have been given in it, so best album have a natural advantage if I've been listening to the artist for years, and mini-albums tend to get an edge on these due to low song count too but they have been put lower in priority to allow full length albums to shine.

Congratulations to CHiCO's collaboration single for best single and Amamiya Sora's best albums for best album(s) for Klassic Note 2022!!

COMMENDATIONS
In Klassic Note there are Awards; And then, there are Commendations. Commendations are thing that are worth mentioning but not necessarily in competition since it can be unique in circumstance. That, or I want to credit them as many of them as possible and it doesn't exactly qualify as a regular award. Many listed may be repeats, but this is the place where I give proper recognition to certain things for songs who stood out amongst the others. Congrats to Kroi for giving me music videos to remember I wish I could put them in more; The effort they make in their videos are just uniquely fantastic. This and many others easily show the power of music videos which are all the more important at a time like this where the Internet is the best place to promote new songs.

Commendations are generally given to topics which stand out on their own with unique features (eg. terrible English, same song title) known as Song Commendations, releases that I reviewed and/or are outstanding known as Release Commendations, artists which may or may not be singing this year also known as Artist Commendations, and honours for (promotional) music videos which excelled in impressions also known as Video Commendations.

Instead of giving them as awards, Klassic Note here compliments videos which stand out better than their music, sometimes better than not, in order to give better representation and thus impression to their audio listeners. And so, I commend and also criticise (a bit) on those, as you can see below too. Many of the music videos can be found online too, so be sure to check those out for yourself. I'll post the links to get you started.

AWARDS
One of the most important things that built the foundation of this Song Awards are of course, the Awards themselves. They have also been historically the toughest to decide every year apart from the Top 20 itself, which shows how much thought is put into figuring out the distinct feels of all the songs I give for the year, and how important they are compared to all of the others above. As with previous years, it has always been a challenge to get the right songs to fit the Awards and what they should represent, and as much as I try I still hardly feel for some of these songs which are worthy of their titles, especially pertaining to certain emotions and moods. Regardless, I have made my decision, so here are the results.

Congratulations to Hitsujibungaku for THE NEWCOMER I need to listen to more of your music library next year to be honest I've not given enough, we finally have competition in THE MUSIC category because PHONO TONES and SPECIAL OTHERS released album this year but we know who wins, and it was hard to decide on THE INSPIRATION so I went for gut feel and amazarashi woke me up once again since 2016, so thanks for that.

The Award titles mean exactly unless stated otherwise, which are as follows:
  • THE CHARASON represents all songs from the Anime and Game genres so to give more songs recognition on how good and/or diverse they are (CV refers to "Character Voice" ie. the actual voice actor behind the role)
  • THE IDOLISM awards idol songs (sung by voice actress who became solo artists mostly) which have been on the rise and the award goes to the one with judgement possible to be independent of usual criteria eg. melody, music style
  • THE INSPIRATIONAL awards songs which spark motivation and/or creativity for me, encouraging and pushing me along in life
  • THE NUMBER ONE SONG OF THE YEAR is based on SONG OF THE DAY results, and the Award is presented to the best here
  • THE SINGLE and THE ALBUM are based on RELEASE RANKINGS, and the award is presented to the best of each category here
The nominees are excluded from the list due to presentation space constraints.

THE TOP 20
Last but not least, we have the song rankings. Every year, I try my best to showcase Klassic Note in the most vibrant way possible, hopefully with a good balance of what I truly love and representation of what the year means for Klassic Note in 2022. And in these 20+ songs I recommend, many have left an impression, some I cannot miss putting them in just because, and others I think they are genuinely worth a mention. It was hard to come up with the list as usual, as there have been many dramatic changes to when I initially thought of this, but now that the results are out, I'm not going to think too much into it and hope this is adequate to show what Klassic Note 2022 is after a year in the making. Let's get to the Top 20!

Congratulations to mol-74 for changing my impression of them from meh to great to the #1 song in Klassic Note! Maybe emotional is my theme for the year, so I can't help but dampen the lively tunes to give a moment to remember what the roots of Klassic Note might have been, and these guys are right up my alley.

In Klassic Note, The Top 20 will include certain conflicts in rank number as some of the songs have to share the same rank due to my lack of criteria to differentiate between them, but is also a ingenious method to show certain trends or similarity within topics and timeframes, to a smaller extent. So do not be surprised to see up to 25 songs every year on this supposedly "Top 20" list.

Below is an audio preview with timestamps of The Top 20 of Klassic Note 2022, for your listening pleasure:
[Click on any row on the table above to skip to that track!]

Here are my thoughts about this year's Top 20 as elaborated from above, as a summary:
  • I have already set my sights for mol-74 taking in the top spot mainly because none of the others impressed me in the long run with a particularly strong emotion. It was already hard for them to impress even in the short run, which will be the influence of the rankings this year.
  • For the idolism grouping rank, I opted for Kouno Marika for a simple song on her 1st album early this year, and Minase Inori which I thought the song which started the year was actually good, which made me hesitant to choose between this and "glow", the topic song from her album in July. I even thought these songs are actually better than mainstream, putting them above Scenarioart and nano.RIPE for comparison. Natsukawa Shiina did not join in the ranks because I felt like her best effort is not going to win her 3rd single, and Asakura Momo went above the ranks just because of a very different melody I can concur.
  • It was wise from this year's song list to include mainstream artists whom I think mattered for the year in the review boom halfway through the year, which were Creepy Nuts, Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai ie. KamiSai, and Kroi. The problem is where to put them. I chose to group the latter two together and put down Creepy Nuts for the rap genre which I'm not too keen but so is Kroi. It was hard to juggle between these and not putting the other one on top on its own, so to speak.
  • Prospective artists I want to give more chances to are Kitani Tatsuya who I've known from Anime just recently, and miwa who actually did well overall but hard to pick up songs to give for the Top 20. For the latter I opted to promote her album topic song but even then I can't put myself to place her too high just because.
  • The Top 5 songs have already been pre-determined to some extent. Ryokuoushoku Shakai ie. RyokuShaka did well this year so it was obvious to choose between the topic songs of their 2 singles and 1 album for a winner. harmoe is the best idol song which impressed me so I had to leave a spot for them, and I still cannot believe I can be back giving songs to amazarashi and for them to be up on the ranks. I guess depression might be getting back onto me since I ditched it in 2018.
  • Genie High is the last-minute option due to me realizing how simple the melody is for this song, and of course that it has been accented by guest vocalist Kouno Marika (see above) so this is just an extra win for the voice actress, in my opinion.
  • For emotional tunes there aren't many or even any to be frank compared to last year I just realized, so I'm glad I still remembered the ClariS and TrySail collaboration song to put them in here. As usual, the composer who also did many for Anime series "Madoka Magica" doing wonders every time I get into it.

And that is all for Klassic Note this year; I hope you enjoyed looking through these results, giving them as listen, and enjoyed as much as I did. If you were here to give yourself a chance and listen to the above snippet of what I've listened to in 2022, you're welcome for the glimpse into my music listening experience for the year. If you have given any of them a listen afterwards - even just one of them - it will make me happy. The legacy of Klassic Note has moved ahead once again and with the world outside changing in perspective, I'm still happy to be able to share my thoughts about music every year, how much I have done by the week, and still spare some time and dedication to make all of this happen at the end of the year.

See you all next year for another year of Klassic Note then!! Meanwhile, we have some #KN15YEARS business to deal with. Stay tuned for more announcements over at the special site!

The Entertainment News 2022 Edition Issue #52 Anime Extra

And see that's why, me, you walk out of the house WITH a phone case. *silence* I hate my life and the minor scratches on my phone's screen I might as well buy a new phone haha *dabs*

Anyways, that was yesterday it was great I was out all the damn time but seeing that my world is already preparing NOT for the new year coming in within a week but Chinese New Year in a month or so, it just makes me think time passes so fast even if I'm taking one whole week of work leave. *silence* Technically only 3 days if I'm lucky because I'm burning away yesterday and this afternoon so I might as well clear some Anime by then!

Yes, I waited two weeks for this ironically, so let's finish with a record-breaking THREE EPISODE watching session of an Anime series!! Please, my average episodes to watch per week per series is one. I watch every week. *laughs* But that might change soon, I gotta watch "Romantic Killer" someday...

アニメ Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen
"I know the whereabouts of every Asauchi I've created" Holy sh*t is this ye olde GPS? Haha spiritual energy dude, it's better than satellite
You think Ichigo understood whatever the f**k Namaiya, THE zanpakuto creator, is talking about all this time? He don't, right? He's not shinigami too. *wink* No really, in these final episodes of the first cour of the final arc (#BLEACHTYBW11), let's talk about where Ichigo's soul stands at. With Zangetsu...? Haha ah hey long time joke already, let's be serious. I guess I should talk about each episode at length, huh. Well, not long, I don't want to type so much here. *laughs* Story goes that Ichigo was brought back to his hometown lol you can figure that out yourself, and sees his father in a shinigami outfit. So yeah, he will tell us the story. Of him, being a family of Shiba clan. Being a captain, so many years ago. So surprise, Ichigo is basically Quincy in nature but we shall not elaborate just yet, but yeah, if you think Matsumoto with shorter hair and even shorter Hitsugaya in the 10th Squad of the Gotei 13 is stupid, think again. *giggles* Because someone is making even more noise in the Real World specifically Karakura Town, and even less of a surprise there, we are talking about events roughly after when Urahara escaped Soul Society a century ago in the timeline thanks to three Captains, and before one of them Aizen decided to pin himself on the wall. *laughs* So yeah, that. Firstly, we talk about the confrontation. Not with Aizen and the gang, but kinda. Let's. If I didn't remember wrongly it was about 20(?) years ago in the timeline, Mayuri had succeeded me as Captain of the 12th Squad *wink* personal fan lore, and after some events in the Real World with shinigami killed it happened again soon after in repetition, so Isshin was sick of waiting in line and decided to investigate this by himself even though apparently it was 13th Squad's job at the time. What he saw though, was basically an Arrancar prototype because looks like it got Hollow powers from a deceased(?) shinigami (Can you die and die again? I mean, ask the guy whom Zaraki took the sword from lol) so Hollow but acted in the form of a shinigami, so Arrancar basically. That term was probably not coined back then, so "White", I guess. Hey, I'm not being racist, Aizen is. *laughs* Anyways, Isshin was supposed to deal with it well, but this time around, maybe also because Aizen knew that this prototype wasn't making much progress in order for them to draw better conclusions to the evolution of their "research", he decided to intervene. So I guess Isshin doesn't know the betrayal thing yet. Yeah, only Urahara and that bunch knew, I suppose. Thankfully, Masaki ran out of her... fostered shelter lol that's the nicest way to say that because Ryuuken can't even do shit haha yes that's Ishida's dad by the way he looks so young, to you know, take action. It went surprisingly well just by baiting the enemy to her side and shooting a spiritual arrow down its neck, almost blew up in an explosion if not for Isshin helping out... so I guess they win. *giggles* But what is up next, is what will seal the deal for the backstory of Ichigo's family.
This is where it all started, people.
A love story of all time haha
MFW people get my sex jokes I say lol
This is real impressive though, considering she is a Quincy of Ishida Uryu's age
"Do you think she (Masaki) will be happy marrying me?" Of course not Ryuuken you f**k even a dead soul is more capable of marrying her- Oops
So days later, after Isshin went back and reported... pretty much everything that happened and I swear three people already knew it in the Hall lmao *wink*, this part (#BLEACHTYBW12) talked about Masaki's condition after that fight. In summary? Not great. *laughs* Well, not great if you are Ryuuken because damn freaking Katagiri opened her damn mouth when she found out that a Hollow hole appeared on a Quincy, probably went to tell on the Aunt of the household who shouldn't be knowing of this so... but yeah, I guess in order to receive treatment, even though at this point you think anyone Quincy will treat her? Haha damn, I mean, we were nice enough to keep her till high school, dude. *laughs* Ryuuken thought of getting his father to help her out but he's out we never saw the old man again anyways so whatever lol *wink*, but he did see Isshin who went back to the Real World once again to thank the girl who saved his soul. Well, only to find out that she is about to die, and arguing with another Quincy who he doesn't even know who, and THEN dealing with another dude who tells them we can't get Masaki back as a (pure) Quincy and just to save her life we have to sacrifice someone? Man, this is a lot to think about let us sit down with some tea, please. But of course not, we don't have time to brainstorm like Ryuuken, and only after listening to the resident Hollowfication expert right here - well, the only expert - did Isshin immediately agree to Urahara's terms: putting his soul inside a human body and bind with Masaki to counteract the Hollow Quincy inside her, something that would already kill her anyways if we wait any longer. Also, if they did not stop Masaki's Hollowfication, Aizen would have been SO happy, he's gonna be me when I jack off- Anyways haha he didn't and so is my sad single life lol, but heck, on that very day a bond is formed. Sorry, Ryuuken, you can go bang Katagiri or something lmao, but congratulations on Shiba Isshin with the nice snatch on Kurosaki Masaki and telling us his love story... he threw away his family name too lest he got found out by probably Kuukaku but I think she already knew who her brother is like, and they now have to be together for all of eternity. Well, almost. Because remember the mother died? Yeah, she didn't die because she can't fight a Hollow. Grand Fisher, if you would recall. She was just an impure Quincy, but she can fight with a bow and have something to defend herself, even if you didn't know about the Blut Vene thing. But no, that was also the day Yhwach awakened his powers. Nine years ago. Welp. I'm not going to name that godly power of his, but if you understand that his blood runs with all Quincy... So, in case you wonder how this all links to Ichigo, as my dear Urahara Kisuke has mentioned, this Hollowfication thing will be passed down for generations. Therefore Ichigo. I mean, it can be Karin-chan too but that is not the point. *laughs* So, the Hollow, the Quincy blood thing even though Ichigo is even less pure than the mom at this point, the shinigami powers easily drawn out from little training from Urahara who KNEW of his position as a human soul jack of all trades... You get the idea now. He HAS to be the main character-
Me in a corner at parties lol
Aw man her hole is open IF YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYIN'
(lol)
MFW I write shit code, show it to the user and it actually works
(Yay) (Haha)
"... there's a possibility that the Ishida family's bloodline could become tainted!" Yeah, this is a thing. Also, Masaki WAS bit by a Hollow so....
And to end this season, for the final episode (#BLEACHTYBW13) I guess we are making Ichigo's zanpakuto now. Hey, the Asauchi now kinda looks like the Quincy army, right? *giggles* Don't deja vu too much, guys, we got story to tell. Well, let's save the best for last, so let's talk about what is in Seireitei now. Well, considering some of them got their Bankai stolen, I can't imagine the likes of Hitsugaya and Soifon being able to do anything at this point apart from... honing their other skills? I mean, Soifon still has her assassination and/or Shunko powers she learnt from the 2nd Squad thing (Edit: Oh yeah Onmitsukidou, thanks Bleach Wiki), but Hitsugaya?? He is pretty much done, dude, if he can't get his sword back. Ironic, isn't it? Like, isn't there anything in the shinigami's blood- Oops, too much deja vu. *laughs* But for Komamura though, he has a different story. Considering he isn't a human soul in the first place, and he's under some animal clan or something haha hey guys let's not get into furry territory that fast, but yeah, he desired to get back the clan's power to compensate for his lack of sword power. Makes sense, but I guess the old dog won't agree to this that easily, so he has to deal with it first. I mean, this old thing is more stubborn than my grandfather who is already dead by the time I was born so you tell me. *silence* Moving on lol, Mayuri is doing something real secret and evil which will be revealed soon but suffice it to say he is once again illegally modifying his Bankai to no end but not like he hasn't done that before his sword changed shape so much Namaiya might be confused to see his soul now. *laughs* Hisagi is forced to draw out his Bankai which he did I don't have to do spoiler alert for this because HE NEVER RELEASED IT ANYWAYS also it is not that convenient as with many others which you can find out in novel series co-written by another author under Kubo-sensei's supervision *wink*, and I guess we can talk about Ichigo's zanpakuto now. For starters, it's not Zangetsu. Well, the name, as provided from the "sword" itself. That's not real. Now that we have gone through the whole thing about how much of a Rojak Ichigo was made to be even as a human lol Southeast Asia joke, one should understand how this works now. So basically, Ichigo's soul is comprised of many things. The Quincy power, for starters. He was born from Masaki who is a Quincy so that makes sense, he hardly is a shinigami to begin with. Then, there's the Hollow. According to the dad, he got back his powers because the bond to hold back Masaki's Hollowfication is broken due to Ichigo doing all the save the world stuff lol, so in a nutshell a Hollow sits within him. Why didn't it die with the mother I wouldn't know, but let's just say it didn't. Passed down for generations, remember? *giggles* Anyways, those two, and Ichigo doesn't have shinigami powers to begin with. He doesn't even know the four fields of shinigami excellence which I till try to recall right now with a hint from Hitsugaya.... Zanjustsu haha that's swordsmanship ie. when you have your blade that is not broken lmao, Hohou which is movement so the reason why Byakuya can move so fast and I'm not talking about now he's still half dead, Hakuda which is hand-to-hand combat which is exhibited best by literally no one apart from old geezer Yamamoto (RIP) because if you ran out of techniques and had to use this you're a monster haha, and Kido, what fictional me would've excelled in. *giggles* Ichigo knows... maybe the first one lol not even he doesn't even know how to swing his sword- Heck, even Zaraki took a lesson in Kendo, dude. *laughs* Long story short, the sword was remade using the two souls - Ichigo's soul of Quincy descent, and the Hollow - in a very occult situation probably Namaiya has never faced before, but it was a success. And that's how he gets two swords without a new name, and had to say goodbye to the souls he was mistaken of all these years. From the moment we saw Zangetsu, he was just the Quincy power all along. And maybe the Hollow's if he can't suppress it sometimes as with Grimmjow or Ulquiorra or Byakuya... that's all. *laughs* So now you know. All in all from the above dude... I still CANNOT BELIEVE I have to wait half a year for the next cour of this final arc to appear. Again it's like "Attack on Titan", but less painful to wait haha it's the same just that this one had deeper connection to me, and I can't WAIT to see it happen. We are teased with a trailer revealing the beating up we will have to witness until Ichigo can come down from the Reioukyuu so this will be fun. No really, we desperately need more zanpakuto releases right now we got a couple this time but IT IS JUST NOT ENOUGH, DUDE!!! Haha see you then I can go on forever but I think this is enough
[TL:DR; I'm just pissed that everyone is Yhwach's son. *laughs* I mean, where are the daughters dude, you misogynist f**k- Oh he killed them. Yeah he did, we know at least 2 of them died. *silence* Call yourself God, dude, you don't deserve it at all- ME MYSELF could've been God lmao]
How I imagine what I would look like in maybe 20 years
*laughs*
If you look close you can see... well, just a figment of Ichigo's real father lol
Normally any guy would be happy getting beat up by girls but... uh not in this case haha
P.S. "If someone like you (Matsumoto) became captain, the whole Squad would be ruined" Haha not wrong but also imagine a female-driven Gotei 13 squad- Oh, Soifon. *laughs* BUT wait! What if it's only rack-
P.P.S. "No matter what happens to the world outside, we will continue to live in the shadows" Oh Komamura you doggo are also Quincies? That's a surprise haha
[Don't you worry about the newer cast because among those that were revealed including Namaiya's forging squad I only know of Ozawa Ari so haha moving on]

And that shall be it to end the year! Next time we will meet in this very place known as my solo universe lol maybe I should call it this from now, we will be talking about Klassic Note Song Awards! So see you then, if you need a song reference I will recommend you something from Japan if you don't mind. *giggles* Bye!

P.S. Because I was lazy to write an actual spec script for an animation movie I intended to do about my own lore for "BLEACH" when I was a student lol, I shall put in point form, where I was in the history of my version of Soul Society:
  • Soon after the betrayal of Urahara Kisuke, Shihouin Yoruichi and Tsubasaki Tessai and the missing of many captains in Gotei 13 about 100 years ago, Seireitei hastily decided to reform the leaders of Soul Society, namely promoting members of the Squads. For the 12th Squad though, Central 46 was hesitant in allowing the promotion of then Vice Captain Kusotsuchi Mayuri due to his history in prison, thus 3rd Seat Officer Aozaki Shouhei was placed as replacement Captain.
  • Throughout the 5 or so years in reign, Shouhei continued to develop technologies in a very different direction compared to Mayuri, who seeked more occult means of work compared to Shouhei's more practical approaches to improving combat, by leading of the widespread use of Kido as one of the four forms of shinigami combat being his vision, and creating training grounds and research facilities powered by Kido so shinigami can train better overall. Most notably, he was able to create a controlled environment within the 12th Squad barracks to the extent where power-driven 11th Squad members can train their released zanpakuto in.
  • Rumours started to rise within the 12th Squad about Mayuri's doubt on Shouhei's abilities as Captain and Technological Institute Head, not following the vision of technological advancement into souls and moreover prohibiting the experiments Mayuri was doing. In protest, Mayuri discovered that Shouhei has been in close contact with now in Real World Urahara Kisuke, and has been yearning to leave Soul Society to join his master outside of control.
  • The day finally arrived when Shouhei was spotted ready to escape from Mayuri's surveillance technologies, though bested by Mayuri's inventions with enough evidence to get him executed, Shouhei fought his way out and revealed his long-trained Bankai even on a disadvantage against Mayuri's poison blade. Seireitei was kept mum about the issue especially from Mayuri as this would give him free reign over the rule of the Squad and Institute, in which he eventually obtained.
  • Shouhei in the Real World used a self-made gigai and spent time in hiding before eventually settling down on opening a dojo outside of Karakura Town, where he continued to hone his sword skills since he can't be found out using his spiritual energy. He eventually was able to use all his shinigami power and train a squad of 5 human-shinigami hybrids in the Real World, with Asauchi stolen from Seireitei itself.
Call this a special special episode then, you're welcome. Also, if anyone wanted to animate this I would LOVE to voice Aozaki Shouhei myself, thanks. *giggles*
If I started reading the smaller things in life as a joke and taking my life more seriously, then maybe things would have been different.

I'm saying this mainly because I'm in contrast of this statement, that I treat everything seriously apart from my life itself. Not going to bore anyone with life views here, but suffice it to say that might have struck me to, how should I say it, think that goals should be something worth working for.

The Entertainment News 2022 Edition Issue #52

MERRY CHRISTMAS- Hey, Merry Christmas, everybody.

Hey, I think we should leave the new year part... in the new year haha obviously, since these posts are aligned with the holidays again! So yeah, until then. Until then though!! We have plenty of stuff to do including what was supposed to be the last package of the year which I screwed up so I hope I can get that next week tbh fingers crossed, as I sit at home doing nothing and watching YouTube videos. *silence* Yeah right we have things to do, me, so let's wrap the year up, yes?

On a side note, I will be skipping "BLEACH" this week because I teased a one-hour special of it to end the season which is next week and I'll be watching it with that before the year ends instead of waiting for the new year so expect another post like, coming Tuesday or something. Meanwhile, we will conclude the Anime this season and talk about the ones coming in next season! I think I only remembered "Stray Dogs" lol I don't care about the others tbh

アニメ Winter 2023 Anime Preview
[Powered by Random Curiosity]
So yeah, new year, new Anime, we I will talk about my impressions of the Anime I will be watching in the coming three months, ranging from I don't care to maybe give an episode or three episodes because I like this metric instead of just- and THEN just simping on sequels because I regret giving it the one time. I'm a variety Anime watcher. *laughs*

In simulcast chronological order, and premiere dates for my reference in square brackets:
  • Again, filtering out super long Anime titles by default so "Ningen Fushin no Boukensh (exceeded character limit lol)
  • Okay okay maybe not "Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi" because despite it having a simple romance story and my heart not being able to take another love story anytime soon- You know how much they pelted me last year already? Haha maybe I need a longer break from that, but considering it's adult characters instead of high schoolers I may give this a watch. But yeah, looks more oriented to a female audience though; The theme songs are a good indicator of that.
  • Hell yeah I'm already excited for the return of another season of "Bungou Stray Dogs" [Premieres January 4th, 2023] because if you haven't heard of my love for human extension of powers aligned with this literary character naming and therefore powers of this action series, you have been missing out. We are 6 years into Anime adaptation and the stories doesn't end because we got more Ability organizations coming into fictional Yokohama City to do trouble. Honestly saying I just want a more diverse cast and lore it's just so cool also SCREEN mode and LUCKLIFE for theme songs because why not more from the latter after they left the major music label and came back haha TMI I know
  • I know that dear Takahashi Rie is good for such a role (see "JoshiMuda", "Romantic Killer") but I'm apprehensive about watching "Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!" just because unlike "Shikimori-san" who is cool and still feminine, we are dealing with a literal tomboy for a girlfriend. So that, I may already hold back to watch even just for the image itself. Otherwise, I assume the kyun moments would be great for the female side to be honest, so I don't see why one wouldn't if you are a fan of the romance genre. Or her haha yeah
  • Wow this "Revenger" thing sounds real cool and probably the ending is just politics as usual- It's original Anime too? Oh ok is this even worth watching though? The only female main cast looks like a brat- THERE IS A NUN IN THE TRAILER THOUGH!!! Haha okay me not all of them are Sharon from "Engage Kiss"
  • I gotta say this though, because as much as "Spy Kyoushitsu" has a voice cast I would love to see all in a harem story with me lmao, we already know I'm not watching because I was tricked by some yellow octopus years ago. *laughs* So no thanks.
  • "Onii-chan wa Oshimai!" is gender change experiment, by the way. Even with Marinka as main girl/guy I can't bear myself to watch
  • Haha what? "Sugar Apple Fairy Tale" is considered shoujo-directed romance after I read the plot?? Holy shit though but I like the main girl's voice- Is this enough to watch though... Yeah, even I wonder lol the fantasy genre is already kind of a turn-off to me tbh
  • Oh yeah, this sh*t. *laughs* "Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta." is basically being a dog. Raised by the one who you liked, and meeting beautiful girls around your MALE dog life. So as you can imagine, it's kinda ecchi as in very, it has Aizawa Saya in it which I don't know what will make of my bias to watch this in its entirety if I do because she isn't stacked anyways lmao... it's just all the wrong stuff. Yes, it's not dog Anime; it's female skin censorship Anime, by the way. *laughs* Also I really don't want to get this site flagged after what I had with "TsureKano" so- IS THAT WOMAN GRINDING ON THE CORNER OF A TABLE? Okay no way NO F**KING WAY haha ah
  • Hmm among the long titles (lol) I may actually watch simple(?) romance series "Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken" [Premieres January 7th, 2023] (oh boy I need to know the abbreviation haha okay read until Tenshi-sama) since it has all the checkboxes ticked coming in from a web comic adaptation: cute girl (hello again Iwami Manaka), diverse cast, I know the guy singing the opening theme... and I haven't seen anything in the trailer that will make me want to romance puke. *laughs* Just some wholesome romance, it seems. So yeah, maybe this- GAMER TOO?? I'M IN haha so much deja vu
  • Oh yeah I don't care about sequels... that I don't care so yes "Nagatoro-san" as much as my bro watches it and liked the plot towards the end of season one I still don't like the idea of a girl not liking my guts and sh*ts on me all the time until she doesn't. The result might be sweet but the process is rough dude lol
  • Oh sh*t I forgot about this spirit-hunting romance series "Kyokou Suiri" [Premiers January 8th, 2023] is coming back with another season of fun and games between the main girl Kotoko and her "boyfriend" (lmao) along with his ex, in the quest of fighting against each other to bust urban myths and such. Also bust the guy in some ways I guess haha I don't know the plot from here on so we gotta watch for some aggressive lover Kitou Akari, dude. *giggles* That's the fuel and you know that already- Oh yeah Yuuki Aoi is the new villain haha I hope this one's also a love rival lmao
  • Dude, did "High Card" just steal my idea of "A Pack of Life"?? Okay minus the gambling but yeah haha, maaaaaybe not because not enough female character who aren't behind the betting counters lmao
  • Yeah I've heard of rumours about "Ayakashi Triangle" and how female romance it is in perspective so even ignoring the ghosts plot which my experience is from like, "Kekkaishi" lol so no thanks
  • Ah I've actually been thinking about whether I should be watching "Kubo-san wa Mobu wo Yurusanai" [Premieres January 10th, 2023] because what more better of a romance series where Hanazawa Kana (married, by the way) keeps disturbing you into loving her- Yes chill me, I know "Tsurezure Children" and I can see the reference in a character level already lmao but this one is serious about her feelings, so you know, I wish the guy was me in school. Or maybe it was. Just that this girl is persistent. *silence* I wish girls my age were more persistent back then haha so yeah definitely in my lane already- DIALOGUE+ NO lol
  • "NieR:Automata" as an Anime, by the way. That's how much animation studios don't care about adapting original stories anymore lol we need more new stuff dude
So yeah, more romance? I have two sequels to watch already so that's a drag haha especially "Kyokou Suiri" I didn't like the folklore talk that much so hopefully the romance antics will keep me going. And considering I might give two more a watch I will stop thinking about the others for even a maybe to be honest. And NO MORE ECCHI DOG ANIME haha that thing is just trouble

Then again there's the new season announcement for "Hanako-kun" series so yay...? Sequels were a mistake haha

アニメ Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! Double
"Such a pure soul in that big body... to think he'd get that bad" Haha WHAT DAD NO lol
I mean, what's wrong when someone likes your daughter, right? Think about my dad's feelings though my sis is still- In this final episode of a series long due of a proper ending (#UzakiChanS213), uh, bad news guys, we are STILL not getting a conclusion. *laughs* But we've heard enough already, yes? So let's see what ELSE we haven't heard of. *laughs* So uh... I really may have wondered what happened when the dad went to buy some things and on the road thinking about the relationships between the younger generation as if it's his business because seriously, how bad is Sakurai, really? That he drank so much to keep a secret? That he willingly stayed by your daughter's side all this time? That he's so okay with girls taking his clothes off- Okay that last bit might be a little *laughs* But yeah, the end of the Christmas celebrations are long overdue and I don't mean today IRL haha, so it's better to send Sakurai home and give him a break, literally, from Uzaki's mother who didn't help to stop the kids from... whatever they were doing to the poor dude. *laughs* And then whatever you saw at his place will be a secret. Between the two of them, hopefully. *laughs* Please, Hana-chan, clearly you never watched Episode 6 of "Yesterday wo Utatte" we've been through all this, it's NOT going to happen. *laughs* All the shame lol as expected of a middle schooler- Moving on haha, remember all the horrible things the girls did to dear Sakurai? I think those photos are already in the black market. *laughs* That or Ami-chan was the highest bidder lmao, so clearly she feels bad about taking in all this fetish fulfilment so much so that monetary compensation should be in place- I am seriously thinking about what fetish Taketatsu Ayana is in knowing her for a decade and beyond and I have no freaking idea what will make her look like Ami-chan in this very episode. *laughs* Thank goodness. *laughs* But among all this fun and end of year celebrations, I think probably the most important discussion or even realization in this season alone should be from Sakurai alone because Uzaki Hana is a childish college student who can't think, is that he then realized he is loved by someone. This dumb middle schooler brain. *laughs* Not Yanagi, please. *laughs* And he had to talk to Sakaki and Akihito(?) about it, apparently, so they laid on him on the truth. Literally. No balls. Just facts. *giggles* And they will say the same thing time and again, whatever he does they will be by his side. No matter what Uzaki-chan thinks of responding to his advances if any, no matter what Uzaki-chan feels about the senpai we are very positive it's no vibes and all love haha, no matter what Uzaki-chan says about him being alone and needs company so she shaves off her time to be with him... this is truly down to earth, a boy-girl relationship, no doubt. But yeah, don't worry, that hasn't happened just yet, because as long as the sun shines with a fragment of KUSOCAT's shadow, the dream will never happen. All in all, I have a love-hate relationship with this series just like how the main two might have now. But we are still good friends, as we can see from the stellar cast of characters, the rice cooking joke just never gets old even if it's still in the rice cooker and I'm afraid it has to stay there for a little longer, and maybe somewhat progressive development this series has been over time, but not like I would want another season unless it's an actual conclusion, to be honest. Though I should say, I still can't get over the hate of the pace of the storytelling and the new characters introduced which is basically Fujio-san lmao, the opening theme song is STILL not licensed even though the music video is on YouTube lol *pray* someday that will happen next year, and the comedy is really rather subpar once you get used to it. So yeah, overall a very big meh. Well, two big meh is you need it to be "double" as from the title of this season haha also that rack- I'm just glad it's over and I can be at peace now lol
[I think I figured out already from what limited resources we have seen so far: The opening theme song might be violating copyright maybe with references to other songs because the composer and producer of the song Tanaka Hidekazu is now NOT credited which hmm... I wonder what happened haha it's a mess behind the scenes, if I had to guess. Great song though haha so who cares (Ref.: Kano-san website, Tanaka Hidekazu Twitter)]
What we want
(It's an accident lol)
What happened
(Haha)
What your reaction should be regardless lol
P.S. I can't believe I'll see/hear "I'll strip him gently" in an Anime but here we are haha
P.P.S. "Hana was plenty drunk" Thanks narrator I wouldn't have known lol "Good" Haha Yanagi pls
Basically me every morning lol
Gotta conclude the season with some more rice preparation lmao
It has been a while since I stitched a large image so here's some chest if you forgot what this series was
(Hehe)
アニメ Koukyuu no Karasu
"I've come to end your suffering" Oh thank God haha
Hey emperor? Why are you so close to her? *laughs* Clearly Jusetsu is more than just a woman haha because to conclude this wonderful period drama *ahem* series (#KoukyuuNoKarasu13), we starting with the ending song? Okay. Maybe it's those coma stories where she can never wake up- Did I just jinx it? *laughs* Anyways, we still got more story to talk about, so let's. Firstly, the dreams Jusetsu had, and I think this is the crux of the lore behind the Raven god or something, because as I ponder about this once again I do this every week lol, I really wonder if we can just kill off this messenger or sort of shell as host to the God that easily or not. You know, missing the successor thing. But less than that, looks like we have more lore to talk about regarding that Owl thing previously. So wink wink, not surprising, the Minister of Works was the mastermind behind all this. Yeah I didn't believe at all. That you are of any goodwill to Jusetsu. Not even close. You just know info. And that's already an issue. *laughs* Sending letters to the master of the Owl's clay shell and to let him in as a eunuch so to fulfil the prophecy of killing off the Raven... I wonder what will happen if he succeeds though, because apart from him being older than my deceased grandfather lmao I'm sorry if I offended myself *ahem* killing off the God of like, facilitator of spirits doesn't sound like a good thing, honestly. How then can we send that Consort last week to Paradise properly? She's gonna be lost, dude. So yeah, luckily the emperor and the underlings figured that out and stopped the old man, sent him away from the palace given that he is old *ahem* but also that he's just jealous that his old friend ie. the predecessor of Jusetsu, was not cared when she was around. And the emperor brought upon a great point too, that her care was to the successor Jusetsu. Yeah, they made her cuter. *laughs* So yeah, maybe the emperor caring for this particular "consort" is the right choice: It's saving her from the hell that is having possession of a god. That, yeah he can be praised. Even slept with, to be frank. *giggles* Please, the beds are the same hard thing, so how can you even? *dabs* All in all... Yup, I freaking knew it, they won't conclude this. I already knew they will just talk about company to end this adaptation. Damn, please make another season of this to tell us the truth. Gotta say, I didn't believe this series has the people and/or lore to keep me going especially considering the historical context of this fictional universe, but damn I was super wrong about all of it. Not only did it serve as such a quirky difference between Anime series of the same genre, and yet can still tell many lovely stories that move the heart. This is also surprisingly different compared to the many shows I've watched in years talking about such things, which is a great change AND has very respectable storytelling. For this, amongst other smaller things like the golden chicken lol, this is going to make me remember more than I would have hoped. Interesting, should be the conclusion I can give it
Me when people talk about their favourite Anime and it's not this
(Haha)
Me when I see good boobies on Instagram lmao
P.S. "Monster" Dude, I wish Jusetsu is a real monster she can eat me for days I don't care haha ah
P.P.S. "No, I'll save (the gift) for another time" Wow emperor NOW you hit her with the rejection? "Now I'm curious" Haha see?
About 90% why I watch this series till the end haha kawaii
The other 10% is from her eating food hehe
Okay maybe 1% is for always MVP Xing-Xing haha
(Take that, Raven! Golden Rooster is better)
[Okay final verdict about what the Raven Consort is now - Years ago "God" was split into two, the Owl stuck on a faraway island with respect to the parent island, and the Raven governs the souls and sends them to Paradise as such. To create the peace from the fight between two Kings to rule the land, the Winter King had to be suppressed, but way too suppressed in two ways: (1) having to go through some ritual to pass on the spirit of god between human bodies even taking some sort of poison to control the spirit within, and (2) having to be alone because it will raise the god's temper possibly if exposed to the masses. Because of these, the Consort supposedly had to be in solace and had a limited life expectancy, as the shell will have to be passed on each generation eventually. Strange, but I'll take that much info for now. Really intriguing if you think about it though hehe]

音楽 This Week on Klassic Note
Well this week is kind of surprising why I still have songs to give, but yeah, it's just a wrap up though to be honest. The only new release this week and almost missing the year already is yanaginagi's new album which as I've seen is based on fan vote on the subsequent mood of the songs released which probably did influence the style of songs produced but did not stop me from giving more than a couple of songs which is good? I don't know, I just picked the one I said I did like from the first round they did this half a year ago and maybe another just to pad the song count. *giggles* Also, thanks to mol-74's recent live livestream (archived, but removed by now) they reminded me of the one song from their debut mini-album which I rejected and I IMMEDIATELY gave them 5 bucks- I immediately gave back the song haha the money just flair by now

So, news on Twitter this week about music! We got: Natsukawa Shiina's new single recording which actually included the cut out of the B-side at the end with her laughing into the camera haha it was interesting to know that was an accident of sorts, Uesaka Sumire's new song preview definitely sounds too epic for Anime "Nagatoro-san" series but what do I know I only know it's not bad, Earphones' new song is now out already and Rieri why must your rapping be brought in to this group or is it the other way around, mol-74 is moving to their own independent label next year with a new song on the way so that's good news and hope that they can preserve their music style for longer before major label destroys their hopes lol that's how it works, I'll leave Suzuki Airi's new music video for next year if I ever give the animation movie it's based on first, Fuchigami Mai is teasing something for next week about the upcoming EP actually it's tomorrow so stay tuned, Sangatsu no Phantasia's new song is actually okay even with the off beats but not enough to make me put it for this year, SIX LOUNGE's new song will be for Anime series "Boku no Hero Academia" what did I say about major labels lol, Toyota Moe's solo album will feature 5 cover songs of which 3 of them have been revealed and I'm still shocked how Natsukawa Shiina's 3rd single song is in it lol, cinema staff will release a new song next week which isn't bad to be honest, Hanazawa Kana's new song preview is of the B-side of her new single next year and I gotta say we were close in our first Klassic Note Review for 2023, and I guess this is for Christmas if you have listened to Tsuji Shion's advent acoustic song mix plays is the best summary I can come up with they are real cool just give them a listen.

So next week... yes we will be taking a break from even Japanese music because it's time for another round of Klassic Note Song Awards!! The yearly event/post/phenomenon where I judge songs based on melody to my own preferences! Don't miss it though, result's on Saturday, will update by Twitter. *wink*

Oh, so in case you wonder what will be of this column next week for the new year... we should be catching of Anime series I have missed I guess so "Romantic Killer" maybe "Heike Monogatari" or never, and whenever that "Takagi-san" movie gets subbed (in English) I will watch it too haha. By then I will probably be thinking day and night about what of the 8-bit songs (programming joke, so 255) I'll be giving for the year, and hopefully come up with a list of results I can be happy with. *silence* We shall see.

P.S. Oh yes, who won Christmas this year. *giggles* Isobe Karin-chan with her slight cleavage is just saikou haha it's such a tease, Futon-chan is tops as usual but she is not voice actress so I guess she doesn't count haha (also padded lmao), Toyota Moe is me skipping the calendar for next year because I just used her early lol, and I think Waki Azumi wins as Santa in her gaming livestream series last night.  I have to say Touyama Nao is easily in second place compared to the others with just Santa hats but I can only put phone wallpapers for two days so I'm sorry. *silence* I'm alone and blessed haha *sob*
