The Entertainment News 2016 Edition Issue #17

Well, looks like I haven't been studying. And yes, I haven't. I mean, with this much stuff to read and watch who in the right mind would be studying for the exams which are happening next week?

*silence*

Sh*t.

アニメ
ANIME
Assassination Classroom S2: And so the final season begins. Wait, the final season is now??
Anyways, the story. Okay, now many things make sense. It stems from Kayano who now is saved by Koro-sensei (what a surprise) with help from Nagisa (seriously the worst kiss scene ever), and yes, finally this octopus talks about his history. Well, apparently a surprise to me if not to you, he was a human before. Yes, he wasn't some alien. Which explains first, the reasons why there are solutions to kill the octopus, because he was "created" somewhere before, apparently cruelly through experiments as usual like any other Anime lol. Anyway, the turning point here is then who's the woman he's been with, and yes, as Kayano (I rather refer as her instead) mentioned it was the sister, who is married to the head scientist of this cruelty and who is also a teacher in that school with that evil principal Asano Gakushu. Less of that first, this latest episode focuses on the experiments did on the assassin-to-be, who got ripped by The Reaper, who took his name after getting his teacher arrested (nice plot there man), and landed in this situation. Which also explains how he (Koro-sensei of today) was supposed to be an infamous assassin whose name has been taken, and why there seems to be a misunderstood love scene at the start of this Anime series. Or maybe it's just me. Well for now, we know heck a lot of answers already so that's good news. And moving on, we'll know how someone actually with antimatter built in his body (or not), managed to destroy 70% of the moon. Man, I'm hyped.
Bungou Stray Dogs: Is that Gengar? So wait, there's Pokemon in this show? Man this is a good show.
Well it's reached the time I have to give this show or not, huh. Okay, this episode is a good one to talk about that then. This episode introduced the bad guys (duh) Port Mafia, which is evil as an organisation to do stuff around, and they have reason to attack the Agency. They also know of the weretiger, and are here to claim him for a bounty. Good thing Atsushi's on the good side (maybe not because of the money, but hey, it's not going to be his if he claims it anyway), and Dazai's here to stop everything. See? The ultimate trump card. Who apparently is tied to the good side now he has seen evil. Or power. Or supremacy. Whatever. Funny reviews online other places dislike the comedy on the start of the episode, but then it ties in well with the show to reveal the last part too. But I do agree to an extent that it's kind of irritating, that Tanezaki's sister Naomi, who apparently is drop dead if you still want to see her back filled with blood. (Don't worry, if you haven't seen Kara no Kyoukai you haven't seen worse haha) Nonetheless, I think this show can be a watch, but I would restrain myself from being pissed off if I don't like future "special powers" (as I shall call them now) from this episode on. I mean, there's Gengar, man.

Yes, sure I'll continue to watch this show. Even if it has only one cour this season and the other on two seasons later. No really, I don't blame production. Till now it has been a nice watch. If the author himself talks about not spoiling the show then this is how it can be done. (Professional reviewers don't scold me; I'm just a rookie like Atsushi~)
P.S. Now I want my sister to be Naomi-chan. Or maybe not. That'll make me a real sicko lol. Good job, Omigawa Chiaki-san. Your voice is one of a kind. *thinking back to Seitokai Yakuindomo*

漫画
MANGA
Kuroshitsuji: Hmm the ending is real intriguing, if I were to say. And yes, Ciel made it sound like he has to take care of it instead of the local enforcement authorities, but then why not? They may have found a way to get into this fiasco, whilst we get to see a glimpse of the mastermind behind all this. I mean, blood transfusion is a thing, but if it is a thing of progress at the expense of neglecting risks, then maybe not so much, huh. This is going well, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
P.S. FYI Bravat, if you haven't noticed, is that fortune teller who apparently is also an instructor?
BLEACH: Yes, kid Hitsugaya was better lol
Anyways, the story. So with his Bankai apparently he assumed himself (I guess, until now) that his power will wilt off the moment his "petals" go off but apparently not. Well, if it comes from the many extended training session did he notice he'd grown a dick (lol) then I guess so. Still, his powers are increased, and the power of ice is nothing compared to Rukia's Bankai, seriously. I mean, you freeze a giant within four seconds, and Rukia can't even do that. Not to say she cannot even move by then and has to "thaw off" after using it. Well, that comes from the strongest ice zanpakuto in the universe, and with the help of Zaraki (who is not dead yet) and Byakuya flashing his Senkei at the right time... man, this is awesome. I don't care what happens, but man am I glad to see new skills.
Bungou Stray Dogs: I must say the Anime stays quite faithfully to the original work... sort of. Certain things are extrapolated frontwards so facilitate understanding (like how the first joke from Dazai to Kunikida isn't stated as one), and certain are actually missing and the adaptation made up for it, with most of them just to make up time for those lengthy dialogues. Nonetheless, I would say it's good, in terms of adopting the original work, to following the story well. And after reading the first volume (which apparently only has four chapters which made up three episodes already) I think I'm pleased. That I watched the Bones animation before reading the Manga. I mean, it's better. So yeah, I'll be only continuing this probably after this season ends.
P.S. The typical coils of words in displaying of power is so typical, it reminds me of a lot of actions shows lol (And what's worse it's only in the Anime xD)

This Week on Klassic Note
This week brings a lot of releases, and I'm not joking. I just forgot lol. There's sphere's new single which I only gave the topic song, there's also the final giving of Mrs. GREEN APPLE's major debut album. I tried to listen to Gotch's recommendations on Twitter only to find out that he likes synthetic pop instrumentals and bands like OGRE YOU ASSHOLE, who you should know is releasing song I'm not listening already. Well, I mean, not in the last year too. Over the weekend I also took a listen to yanaginagi's new album, and maybe I don't have the mood to listen to it, but I can't seem to give any songs because they don't pass the bridge part of the song which has always been a challenge in Klassic Note. Oh well, there's another week to ponder about it, I guess. I mean, I have no mood to listen to new songs for a legitimate reason haha

Future releases (not including next week) are Miyawaki Shion's new mini-album which features the two ending theme songs for Anime Assassination Classroom and may likely have a chance to get on my shelf because I just got to listen to all of them, a month before official release lol. Luck Life (yeah, the band's name) don't seem to bad for their major debut single, and TrySail's new single and album are next month. Well, that may sound a lot, but thinking that I would reject a whole lot of them doesn't bode good for Klassic Note's future. Well, I'll be watching various artists for recommendations though, and I should have time to visit the usual sites for new songs soon... *sob*

... I want exams to be over. Good news is by next issue which if you will come back (you will, right?) I'll be liberated, and probably busy fixing blog posts from past years to rush for the closure of Picasa Web Albums next month. Bad news is, I'm still far from that, and dawning is the fate of my grades, so I better do something about that. Cya guys then, and until next time... the water flow physics in Cities Skylines is amazing...

[P.S.: Ayachi and her water gun was enough for the week. Please, make me both of us wet lol (???)

Next week is a scheduled Yuuki "always-young-and-cute" Aoi-chan, to motivate me further, yes?]
[P.P.S.: Somebody, please show me a scanned archive of Rumi-chan's photobook...
(Audience: Man, you are such a fanboy...) (On the contrary, I'm searching for pieces of art. *silence* Okay, maybe not haha)]

Friday 22 April 2016

It's typically not because we don't have questions, but because we don't know how to ask them.

Still thinking of questions to ask myself and the tutors. I mean, the next exam paper's in two days. *sob* Funny how teachers never teach students to ask questions. I mean, did you?

Tuesday 19 April 2016

I guess I'll never be happy since contribution means everything in this society.

Sorry, just ranting about life as usual. Or maybe I'm just unhappy. But thinking of it again, I guess people do it for money, huh. I shall too then. Soon.

The Entertainment News 2016 Edition Issue #16

Hey, it's another week. I have a feeling I said this last week. Oh well. (<= That too) But then again I should be studying for exams, not here... enjoying entertainment lolol

Anyways, let's get doing. First thing is...

アニメ
ANIME
Assassination Classroom S2:

Yeah I'm not wrong. It's not there. It's next week for the final arc.
Bungou Stray Dogs: Another episode. Hey, I'm impressed. By the animation, the characters, the story, everything. The story goes that this Atsushi-kun is given a chance to job at the Detective Agency (who surprisingly doesn't have an awesome name to it or something), and Dazai-stuck-in-a-oil-barrel-kun is here to give him said chance. The psychological mindf**king aside, Atsushi shows some instinct to save people around him, despite having a power of a were-tiger, apparently it's called. Nonetheless, this show is interesting, and I think I'll continue to watch it. We now know about half of the Agency, the President and that fake bomber included (which sister's voice sounds familiar but apparently I don't know her at all), and also the antagonist of the series. (I say "series" because this is Anime; I may be interested in the Manga though) This shall give some good insight to whether I want to continue watching this after all. The three-episode review thing. And yes, manifesting powers via writing is indeed awesome. He just... needs some hands to write it. And here I'm thinking so much about that fake bomber's identity lol
P.S. I know who the girl is. Remember Mitsuba from Seitokai Yakuindomo? You don't? Me too! Haha

漫画
MANGA
BLEACH: Oh no the kid is gone. No more fandom now lol
Okay, the story. Kenpachi has fallen, and yes Yachiru's bankai is apparently to assist someone (specifically Kenpachi here I guess) in releasing one's own spiritual power, and she seems to have overdone it, but then surprisingly is still far above that asshole of a Sternritter who wanted to mimic his powers lol. Anyways, Hitsugaya seems to be at his limit with his Bankai (recall the ice flowers breaking off), but yes Kubo we have not seen what happens when they all disappear, because you always make him fall to the ground. But not this time. As if they switched actors within like, a page of this chapter (lol), Hitsugaya surfaces with his Bankai with a mature human form?? This will be interesting, but then goes his child-like mode now. Oh well, can't wait to see what this can do to a God-like Sternritter.
P.S. Byakuya wants to do something about this right now? Standing there just watching...
Dagashi Kashi: Yes, since the Anime ended, I reminded myself to catch up with the Manga. Well, as far as it has been translated. And this week I finish Volume 2. Previously I finished the first one, but this one is full of Anime stuff, so I'll just mention of what is different. Choco baby isn't featured in the Anime, so is the process of Hotaru-san being fired by eating the products she promotes in the supermarket for her part-time job probably to finance her eating of the sweets lol. The Dad was a pain in the ass to make Kokonotsu eat sweets for dinner, and the stamp thing probably wins more than the Valentine's special colour page chapter where Hotaru-san hits a "home run" hard on the father haha. All that is good, but where's the next volume??
P.S. Kokonotsu-kun, I didn't notice but thanks for the tip. Sayashi is indeed about the legs. *tehe*
A Channel: It's been some time, huh. Anyways, the story. Nagi-chan brings her friends over to the parent-less house... sort of. The daughter-possessed father is at home and not leaving, so she gets worried lol. She is good at games, and we get to know a little of the others while she's not at it. That's all, I guess. (No it's not the end of the post yet lol)
Koufuku Graffiti: Finally someone picked it up like, last year, so this will be interesting. I saw something of Shiina-san with a confession? Man, I don't know what those people are posting about this Manga on Twitter, but I bet it's going to be good. I'm only on the first few chapters, and yes there are differences. Makoto-sensei's work has more details and background compared to the Anime itself (for example, how Kirin got fever because she's changing in and out of the trains with different temperatures), and yes it doesn't have the erotic-ness of eating compared to the adaptation. Hey, it's animation. What can I say? But I can say, the author's drawing is impeccable. So nice to watch, it feel as if I'm looking at those fake decorated food that are made to perfection. The comedy of the stories in the 4-panel manga stands out too, which makes it feel different in understanding compared to the show itself. I like it. I'll follow it till the end, provided the people doing the scans can too.

This Week on Klassic Note
Firstly, Rie fu's album got another song on my list, and that's pretty much it though. Then, there's Satomi-chan and her wonderful recommendation:
And yes, Mrs. GREEN APPLE is great!

But then again they feel like cinema staff and SPYAIR which I don't like a lot because it's too heavy rock music for my taste, so yeah. I'll probably still give a couple of songs from Mrs. GREEN APPLE's album this year though. And of course I know that the latest season of Yugi-oh Anime has awesome theme songs. Remember cinema staff? And Kuso Iinkai for end of this month too. But before that, I also took the weekend to give GRANRODEO's new single a listen, and the only reason I'll listen to rock written by people old enough to be my dad is for the Anime above. They do the opening theme song. And the ending theme song doesn't sound that good. I can't take any chances if I were to give this show.

Next week brings a whole lot of releases I don't know if I can list them all as fast as they can appear to disrupt my revision. So there's sphere's new single next week in conjunction with HoneyWorks...

Okay, I don't remember anything. Oh well. Surprise reveal next week then! I mean, not like you guys care about what I listen to anyway; I'll post it here eventually lol

This is it then. I'm done with the week. If you didn't notice how much sweat I took this afternoon to finish the largest review of Klassic Note to date, then you shouldn't torture yourself by reading them all. Really, I've got bad English. Cya guys next week, and until next time... I hope I won't be crying. I hope not. This week's paper is my most confident one. Fingers crossed.

[P.S.: I think I officially like Rumi-chan. A lot. Really.

Either I want to see her ****s, or stare at her- (Audience: SOMEBODY STOP THIS GUY!)]
[P.P.S.: I think I've also officially ran out of material. Time to dig up the archives! You guys like Hikada Rina??]

We can afford to waste money, but we cannot afford to waste resources.

I'm not a businessman or else I'll be reprimanded on this, but then again money is reproducible. Or is faster than any kind of resource. So yeah, start from not wasting food. I'm doing it for my dinner now. Later.

The Klassic Note Review 2016.04 Issue 2

This is going to be a long one, so don't complain if you cannot reach the bottom lol

Welcome back, to the longest review in Klassic Note yet. Before we start, I hope you guys know I do this because I love Ikimonogakari itself, and thus I am willing to do this review. But due to the time I'll need to do it all, the review shall be done separately with the package itself, which I will no doubt post it some other time after the panic period (*wink* Exams *wink*) is over. Until then, I have time to type, so I shall piece everything together slowly as I can. Hopefully this can be done by the end of the month. Fingers crossed.

音楽 The Klassic Note Review
Ikimonogakari - Cho Ikimonobakari ~Ten Nen Kinen Members' Best Selection~ [Album]
(In space suits? Not the first time I saw someone do this, but this is interesting. You know. Impressions.)

Origin: Wow. How should I start this...

...

Behold! The greatest pop group in Japan of the new millennium! They have been around for ten years, and yearly they have truly made an impact in Klassic Note. And to celebrate their ten years and their best album on my shelf, I shall do a full-on review of the whole album of 45 songs!! Yes! The Ikimonogakari bonanza is here! Get ready your ears, people! It's going to be an emotional roller coaster from here on!

How's that for an intro, huh? Awesome~

[NOTE: This review is on the Regular 3CD Edition (as stated above) and does not include CD4 which includes all the B-side songs in their singles and many more which if included I will not give this release. Also, I will reference to the released I have on my shelf and previous reviews as much as possible (ie. from 2014) as I talk about my impressions of them today.]

(Those with * before song titles are added to Klassic Note within this release. Songs not included in Klassic Note after this review are not included even though they can be subject to further reviews after this issue.)

===DISC 1===
(1) SAKURA [Cherry Blossoms]
(In case anyone doesn't get the title, you're welcome.)
What other good way to start the best album with this song? Recall this is their debut song, and yes it's a nice and simple one. Very different in feel compared to what they are singing today, but man, it brings back memories. Back then, when things are simple, to easy-listening, and so nice. Anyone will like this song once they hear it. Really. Definitely a good reason to keep listening to them provided I didn't start Klassic Note like, years later their debut.
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(2) Kimi ga Iru [You Are There]
This one, is probably one of my favourites. Also the first song (if I didn't remember wrongly) written by Kiyoe-chan herself. For once, the vocalist gets to write her own song. This song also brings a lot more of her works in later years, from which happened like five years ago. This is a lively song in itself, and the melody isn't anything to pick mistakes at all. At first impression as I recall years ago I definitely didn't hesitate to give this song the thumbs up. Furthermore, if you ever watched the music video you'll know this is one fanservice video just tailored for her. I even recall seeing it in my local cable television when they play the Japanese drama related to it, and actually sat down just to listening to the theme song at the end. Hey, it's that good.
Rating: 5 stars (Awesome)

(3) Kimagure Romantic [Whimsical Romantic]
This one starts a whole lot of legacy for me following them, seriously. It's not only just a romantic song, but more than just that. That lively melody itself is sure to draw me in, and that in the first year I actually listen to their songs, this one makes the year all the more awesome. (I'll talk about the other songs below) I also recall doing the hand gestures that well every time I watch the music video I instinctively have to do it. Those were the days, man. Where you truly enjoy the music and go with the flow of the music. Especially the harmonica; so iconic in this group it makes their song stand out. I may not understand lyrics much back then, but I liked it. And there's no hesitation to give it too.
Rating: 5 stars (Impressive)

(4) Akaneiro no Yakusoku [Madder Red Promise]
(Pardon me for the translation, because the colour can also mean 'under the red sun')
This song brings back memories. Back then when I was lost (I still am anyway, but) and I was sad. I didn't enjoy being in school. And this song hit me. Honestly, even when I am typing this I'm still tearing up. Ikimonogakari has a reputation of writing emotional songs, and in their early years they are very good at it. This one is one of those songs. The chorus hits the point of heartbreak, and especially when you understand the lyrics, you'll start thinking of things of love. Yeah. I shouldn't talk too much into it, but if you hear this you'll feel it. Trust me.
Rating: 4 stars (Far Above Average)

(5) Anata [You]
(In generic meaning it can mean a lot, including your other half, so I'll leave this as it is for now)
This one came in as a single-track release, which obviously means if I mention it here it must be on my shelf. Back then when they were still singing emotional songs, this one came out as simple, nostalgic, and warm in emotions. Not your everyday tear-dropping song, but it makes you think. And I like such songs; they bring so much meaning. The music video also shows many forms of relationships in order to portray the image of this song itself. I maybe a little deterred by the not-so-perfect chorus, but that didn't stop me from liking this song.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(6) *Kirari [Sparkling]
This song has some history in Klassic Note. And when I mean that it almost always means this song decision got through a journey. Back then in 2014 in their year-end album, I was deterred by the fact that this song was different in pace just in general, and that it doesn't sound like them and more like just tying up to the credited show behind it, which was the real-life movie of Anime "Ao Haru Ride". (If you don't know this show you have not watched Anime, and not that I know it too) But then time and time again as a well-produced song, and especially popular in their live performances, so I guess this is a good song. So for this best album I decided to give it. Just for the sake of it, and also because it really sounds good. I cannot deny it. And so shall you.
Rating: 4 stars (Not Just Average)

(7) Kaerita Kunatta yo [(I Am) Wanting To Go Home]
Funny up until now many songs above us are written by one of the two composers in this group (excluding Kiyoe the vocalist) Mizuno-kun. His style in recent years have always been alive and out-of-the-box with respect to the team, but then back when he was an emo freak (lol I guess not) he writes emotional songs too. This one is one of them, and it's good. So much so they got even an orchestra of strings to play behind them in their lives. Just the piano introduction makes you want to listen already. The grandness of this song is also exhibited early when the music video also starred a mini orchestra behind them. It's time to come back to 2008, where songs are perfect, and Kiyoe was young haha
Rating: 4 stars (Not Very Average At All)

(8) Futari [Two Of Us]
Man, this introduction gives me the goosebumps up until now. It gets better especially when Kiyoe sings this without any instrumentals, and if you have heard stuff from their lives, you'd believe what I said. This song back in 2009 was not a hit in Klassic Note (I know there are better songs out there, but) even though this song is surprisingly smooth in transition in terms of melody and lyrics. The loneliness shown in the music video of Kiyoe going on a journey helped deepen the impression if you ever need to. Overall this is a good song, but then again one can ignore the Tokyo wind, yes?
Rating: 4 stars (More Than Just To Sing Along Average)

(9) Koisuru Otome -Gekijou Hen-[Lady in Love -Passion Chapter-]
Yes, the words behind with the dashes in between just mean a different version of the original. But then again this song brings back memories too. It brings me to another album I gave them before this best album and after their first best album, and yes it's that album with just ballad songs. This one is one of them. Simple, romantic, and really feminine in nature, I guess. In this different version, the instrumentals are changed, but the overall melody didn't. It just feels different, that's all. Well, that's what happens if you extend a song that is already long, isn't it? Simple as it is, with complication of instrumentals mixed in still brings in an awesome tune.
Rating: 4 stars (Lovely Average)

(10) Namida ga Kieru Nara [If Tears (Were To) Disappear]
"[From Klassic Note Review 2014.10 Issue 2] ...what comes out of this song is the smoothness of Kiyoe’s voice, and with every other song you would’ve heard form them this is just perfect. Not to say about Kiyoe’s contributions in the group is increasing significantly in recent years. And as an active promoter of self-production of music, this just gets nicer. I’m not crying yet, though."
Yeah, not even today. I guess it's not for the weak-hearted, yes? But a team effort is a team effort, and when they all come together to write good songs who would stop them? But then again it isn't impressive enough, I guess. Simple, slow, quiet, and very nostalgic. Sounds like something you'd hear at the end of the day in a news show, yes? *wink*
Rating: 4 stars (Not Very Impressive Average)

(11) *Ikou [Let's Go]
Hey, new song at last! Yes, this is one of the new songs in the list. And just listening to it as a fan you know it's going to be good. The chorus makes of a lively mood, and is spread across the song itself. I like this song not because of the extended melodies here and there, but the chorus brings of a happy mood. And it's very reminiscent of their style in their early years, the straightforwardness and simplicity. Who doesn't like a happy song, yes? Let's go to listen to this fresh new melody!
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(12) Nakumonka [As If (I Will) Cry]
(I tried my best. I suck at Japanese, you know.)
This song starts the singing fast, but didn't make the decision process fast. This probably is about when they started changing their style of music, and this one feels different, to say the least. I liked the single back then because of the B-side, but this song also brings about a sad feeling, so I took it. Not much of a big impression on this one, but it's nice melodies then I have to take it.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(13) Kokoro no Hana wo Sakaseyou [(The) Heart Of (The) Flower Will Bloom]
Another of those songs which brought me (and my sis too probably) into listening to Ikimonogakari. The song is so iconic you sing the melody and someone must know it. It's so nice, so typical of their style (early years, as I say), and so awesome. I know I took some time to give it on their yearly album releases back then, but then this song is remembered by me even till today. It's not easy to sing it though, quite a lot of words in there. But then I learn it, and became good at it not long after. I still listen and sing to it sometimes, to be honest. It makes your heart blossom hehe
Rating: 4 stars (No Longer Just Average)

(14) Hoshi [Earth]
Why not this? Hey, the first song I have not given yet. I say "yet" for all the other songs on this list (exceptions apply) because of reasons. For this song, it apparently is popular in their lives, and the trio liked the song. It talks so much about the world, and I agree it's a good song. But then it has never got out of the zone in which I can have the mood to give it in any way, so I guess it shall be on hold for now. Probably also because of the song structure or the verses, but it probably also didn't hit me yet, so I guess... Until the next time I want to give it - or probably not - I will remember this song. The one that got away.
Rating: Not In List

*PANT* We're not even halfway yet. We must move on! lol

===DISC 2===
(1) Arigatou [Thank You]
The production on this song is fabulous, to start. Straightforwardness is their personality, and with such a deep music behind it, it sounds great. Easy to listen, easy to give. The music video shows of a stage performance if I didn't remember wrongly, and it's like the perfect chance to display the band itself. Although this has been used many times, it's a striking pose for this one because it's so formal. It's so clean. And again it makes me think a lot. You start the chorus and you'll remember to thank the people, I assure you.
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(2) Joyful
Yay! Finally we're here! First best song of the list of 3CDs worth of songs. If you know Ikimonogakari and don't know this song you clearly don't like them. For this is their best attempt yet for a party song, and ignoring the lyrics (which probably also made no much sense anyway), this (and YELL, which I will talk about below) became one of the best songs they have to offer, with Mizuno-kun doing the lively and Hotaka doing the emotional. This one, is short, is catchy, is everything but not appetising as a song, seriously. Need I say more?
Rating: 5 stars (Unforgettable)

(3) Blue Bird
And you thought Kirari from the first CD had a history. This one started when Klassic Note started, and has NEVER been given even till today. Why? The melody itself didn't catch my attention back then, and it will never now and in the future. Don't ask me why if you liked this song, but I didn't like it. The chorus was passable, and everything else was not worth remembering. Thus why it's still not in my list. It was like this in 2008, and it is even till today. I gave plenty of chances, but it never flew into me.
Rating: Not In List

(4) Itsudatte Bokura wa [Always We Are]
This one started my year of 2012, and yes it's a great song. This was also under those songs which represented a change of style in the group, specifically the melody. It's a little lengthy, but it's a catchy tune. It rings in me even till now, and I like it a lot. The music video also introduces the infamous hand-clapping before the start of the chorus, and I still remember when to clap, serious. The chorus is surprisingly lovely, and just listening to this for chorus once again isn't bad at all.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(5) *Tsubasa [Wings]
Another song by Hotaka, this new song brings back memories of his style of music. In recent years he has been reluctant to write songs for the band and it has caught up. This one is a good example of how good he can write, and I like his style more and it symbolises more of the group itself, I guess. For this song, the chorus maybe a little song, but it's very reminiscent of their usual style. Just, a little long for the melody, I guess.

(6) Aruite Ikou [Let's Walk]
This aligns with the change in style of melodies real well. I had a hard time giving this song, but then it's catchy in its lyrics which makes me possible to give this song back in 2011 when they weren't releasing as much songs as they are in the early years back before 2009. But still, this is a nice tune to listen to, and has gained popularity of its fans for many years. A song that can stay must be good song, don't you think?

(7) YELL
This. Remember "Joyful" above? Yes. This is the other song that became a hit. So much a hit it got adapted to a Chinese song at some point. (Not that I like that version of it anyway, but) It's this good. And yes, again, if you're the guy who stands at a corner seeing others tear up to this song, then you should just leave. This song also didn't hit me as much at first back in 2009, but this is a nice song. And in Klassic Note, you cannot not give nice songs. The bridge part maybe a little lengthy, but the guys singing along in this part really makes a difference too, and it gets better when we all sing along. Great song, isn't it? Really makes me wonder why they don't want to venture out of the country with this much song popularity.
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average It Stands Out)

(8) GOLDEN GIRL
This, along with "Kimi ga Iru", are easy to identify as of Kiyoe's style easily because they sound very similar. But compared to the other song, this one didn't come as impressive to me at first. But then I still liked it a lot, and it ranked in 6th in Klassic Note 2014 if I didn't remember wrongly. The music video is very similar of the music itself as it displays the feminine vibe of the song, and it sounds great in general. Definitely a must-listen if you think Kiyoe can write good songs every once in a while. I feel like I can dance to this music, seriously.
Rating: 4 stars (Nicely Average)

(9) Good Morning
This came out in their 2nd album, and also one of those I didn't give in first impression, not even till date. For simple reasons, it didn't catch up too much onto me, so I just didn't give it. Not particular in the case of any part of the song, but in general the feel of the song is a lot of their early stage style that I didn't listen to, which will explain a lot of songs later which I didn't give too.
Rating: Not In List

(10) *Sweet! Sweet! Music!
For the best album and in the first ever live broadcast via LINE (my sis and I tuned in to it, you bet) they revealed their first ever music video to the world, and first for the album too, other than those that are in the album which I will mention below. Also, this is also very reminiscent of Mizuno-kun's style as usual, so it's an easy song to give if you liked his way of writing songs. I like it, and you should too. It's some sweet music to dance too here, man.
Rating: 4 stars (Sweetly Average)

(11) 1 2 3 ~Koi ga Hajimaru~ [1 2 3 ~Love Starts~]
Back in 2013 this song had a simple intention of just doing a romance song, and it delivered. If you count the numbers you'll already know how to sing this song's chorus already. I liked this particular release (along with the B-side "Ashita no Sora") particularly that it brings back so much of their lively style of pop music I know and love. It may not be perfect, but hey, at least it's awesome!
Rating: 4 stars (Definitely Above Average)

(12) *Tokyo
This comes in a long line of songs that Kiyoe wrote that I hesitated to give the moment I listen to it. It doesn't happen a lot of times, but this one hits he the wrong way hard. I mean, yeah YUI has that same title too but Tokyo - the capital of Japan - means a lot to Japanese. Knowing that, then giving this song becomes a lot more easier. But it still took some time, especially the chorus, to get over it, I don't know why. But then, it's in the list. It's under appreciated in Klassic Note ever since I heard it back in 2014, and I should give her due chance for this one.

(13) Koiuta [Love (Song)]
This one? Too festival already. Also, later another song too. I'm not a fan of broadway songs in general, and this one literally made me keep a distance to it. Many other songs in their albums not in this list also resemble this style, and I never see them on my list. So this one should also not too. I'm not that daring to explore a part of the band I'm not interested in. The melody is good though.

(14) Netsujou no Spectrum [Spectrum Of Passion]
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.10 Issue 2] ...it’s a great upbeat song, sure to keep you guys listening due to a catchy chorus. The music video features the trio “in black and white for the first time” and I guess that’s a first. Looks cool though, I must say. Just your average Ikimono song well packaged."
Hey, this song. Ignoring the Naruto Anime tie in, this song is surprisingly good. With power, and with a catchy tune. Why not? The question is asked again, and I gave the song. It's good, in a nutshell.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(15) *My Stage
This is the latest to come into Klassic Note. I gave it because of the general melody. It's smooth, and it's nice to listen to. Ignoring the lyrics which may suggest sadness or expression of feelings for being on stage or even as themselves as an artist, but then again here in Klassic Note I focus on melody, and that's what's important. This song is too good to not give it.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(16) *Ai ni Iku yo [(Let's) Go To Meet]
Ah, this one. I gave it midway through this review season because it stuck in my mind. The chorus. And yes, overall the song is good, and I have no complaints besides the usual bridge part of the song. Other than that, this song is rather addictive, I must say.

===DISC 3===
(1) Kaze ga Fuite Iru [(The) Wind Is Blowing]
Wow this one. Probably the most conflicting song of this album already, I must say. I'm between not giving this song and not being able to not give this song for some time even after listening to this seriously long song, which if you can recall, is used as the Olympics theme song in Japan at some point in the year 2012. Simple as it is, it's real lengthy. That is what irritates me till now. I've been in many regrets in Klassic Note, and this one is a struggle.
P.S. Mizuno-kun is the kind of guy that if he has to squeeze out a haphazard song he will do it lol
Rating: 4 stars (Below Average)

(2) Warattetainda [(I) Want To Laugh]
This song lies along with those couple of songs in 2011 as a change in style, well at least in my opinion, and this one ends that era. This one brings back the irresistible style of the group, and making it good again. Lively and happy must be the topic of this song, with much hope and them in white as shown in the music video. This along with the release itself (the single) is a good revival of the group in terms of style, and I remember liking this song very much.
Rating:4 stars (Above Average)

(3) Love Song wa Tomaranai yo [Unstoppable Love Song]
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.07 Issue 1] Romantic and straightforward, this song brings a direct message, if you ever think of what song to serenade to your partner. Hearing them with a new single is just great, and I'm so prepared, or to say I've already took out my wallet for their single already."
That standard love song everyone including myself is searching for. Really, if my future partner doesn't like this song we can start talking about breakup lol. Seriously, this is straightforward and nice, and beautiful, and so irresistible that it must be tested on some couple. Really, I like Ikimonogakari. I said it here, Mizuno-kun.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(4) NEW WORLD MUSIC
Along with "Warattetainda" are together to bring back (in my opinion) the style that is so Ikimonogakari, and this has done it. This is reminiscent of the lively style they have, and that quirky song they will sing as if it was back in 2009 when they sung "Joyful". Very special melody in itself, and if you ever watched Kalafina (oops other references) sing their version of this song you'll be impressed how much this song can go. It's real fresh, and real intriguing to hear, as if it were really, a new world music. (And yes, it's not festival. I repeat.)
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(5) Uruwashiki Hito [Beautiful Person]
(Here it refers to a handsome guy, but that maybe too general to put down I guess)
This is one of those classic early stage music styles they have developed, and this one is cutely wonderful to listen. Back then when there weren't crazy love songs to sing to, there was crazy harmonica lol. But seriously, the lyrics maybe a mouthful, but the melody is very strong and fast-paced, which makes of a happy and light romance song.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(6) Natsuzora Graffiti [Summer Sky Graffiti]
And again, referencing to the previous song, this is one of those songs. Back then when there wasn't "Joyful", there's the best summer song of all time. Really, in 2008, this is the best song to listen under the sun. I enjoyed it so much, I listen to it so many times, I can say the least. It suffers from the usual bridge part structure, but then again who cares? It's a song to sing in summer, and I sang it. That, is Klassic Note in essence.
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(7) KISS KISS BANG BANG
Oh yeah the bang song lol. Okay, jokes aside, this song came as a surprise in their album "NEWTRAL" back in 2012 to me. Not that I don't believe they won't put up a song title like that, but even the song itself - and to a further extent, the music video - is also being suggestive of such a style of music and meaning in lyrics. So straightforward are its lyrics, it's very attractive. Especially with Kiyoe on the helm, she literally is a revived Venus. I swear if I were ten years older around her age...
P.S. I found it. The fanservice music video post. Don't mind the SCANDAL girls below lol
Rating: 4 stars (Lovingly Average)

(8) Hana wa Sakura Kimi wa Utsukushi [Flowers Are Cherry Blossoms, You Are Beautiful]
Well well, this song. The dramatic change between just piano solo and the interludes are amazing. That to say, I've heard a lot of such songs, and am as fan of it, but Ikimonogakari singing them I have no heard of. That is back in 2009 of course. But today, I still admit I like this song. The fast-paced tempo and some nostalgic lyrics make of a complete song, this one.
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(9) Planetarium
Back in 2008, I had many favourite songs. This one turns out to be so dreamy, I'd rather live in it forever. The music video helps paint a scene of a kid dreaming of the vast world she is in, and the band bringing her along with it. Much like a dream, isn't it? This also changed my impression of the band, being able to create such a song. I grew my belief in them, and this song is also a good reason why I've been listening to them till now. I want more of this, yes?
Rating: 4 stars (Above Above Average)

(10) LIFE
The last song I'd expect to appear on this best album. But then again, what is to blame? From the latest album back in 2014, this song came in immediately as a good song, a song of their style, even though it's a song of sadness. And it totally caught my attention, so what's more to ask? This song is just good in itself. If you need a slow ballad after that album released in 2012, here you go.

(11) Love to Peace! [Love And Peace]
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2015.11 Issue 1] This lively melody brings up a lot more than love and peace ... this song is nice to hear, and after hearing such a style many times I'm fine with it. It may not to you, but this retro-modern pop feel sure makes of a good song to dance to."
Quirky as it may sound, but Mizuno-kun loves to write such songs, and I understand why. Furthermore, I like it, so I guess I won't complain much as a fan. But if you need an impression, then this may not be a choice. The music video will make you think this song is a train wreck, so just listen to the song to see if you can take a liking to it.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

(12) Manatsu Elegy [Midsummer Elegy]
"Not in list". Can I not comment on this one? I guess not, huh. This one is even more unaligned than the other song which I talked about being broadway. But this one is not, it's just... not good. But it does give that feel, and for their first attempts for doing such a style in early years sure is not a good sign, huh.
Rating: Not In List

(13) Egao [Smiling Face]
Hey, this is a good song. Simple, straightforward, and you think I'm using the same words again. But then again, that's what they excel in creating in terms of the mood, and this one is along the list of great songs. So great, it's a Pokemon movie theme song in Japan. The music video enforces the impression by showing us a whole lot of faces, of course including the trio. Man, if this song doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will already. *smiles*
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(14) Mudai ~Tooku e~ -No Fade Out ver.- [Dream ~Far Away~]
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2015.11 Issue 1] This one, obviously, is done by Hotaka, the other composer guy in the group who specialises in writing touching and emotional songs, and this is no exception. Standing in between touching and emotional, this motivational song asks us to pursue our dreams, and this is indeed a song that I want at this time of the year, clearly. Anyways, this one definitely is a listen even if you're not a fan, because I like it. Purely because of this reason I listen to these people."
Ah, another special version. This one is from last year's single, and yes the quote above is perfection. Besides that, the extended version in this best album just doesn't end the song in a fade, which means the song feels longer and has a lot more of the nice instrumental I hoped for too. Glad they made such a extended version in the first place, the song aside.
Rating: 4 stars (Above Average)

(15) *Bokura no Yume [Our Dream]
Hey a new song at the end! Who would have thought? Okay, the only good reason I can think of giving this song is probably after I watched the music video, as mentioned below. Other than that, I can accept an average long typical pop style song from them again. I've been giving chances, and this song I cannot miss. Even if the "baby" thing is irritating and it doesn't mean Kiyoe or anything lol. The music video portrays their journey along these years of music though, so I'll take that as an impression.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

Conclusion: This is for you, Ikimonogakari. For your ten years, and for my nine. You guys help me define J-Pop, and it's a pity you aren't doing live tours all over the world right now. Nonetheless, this compilation is not for all but the ultimate fan (I mean, their first best album isn't on my shelf), but I consider myself a fan. And a supporter for this wonderful pop team. It likely falls short of repetition considering they've been releasing albums more often than ever and turning week in recent years, but still their spirit for music did not fade. If you like a representation of pop music in Japan, there you go. They represent the sad and emotional, and sometimes lively - believe me on that.

This is it. Three hours worth of comments are going to leave me speechless for the rest of the week now. Good because starting tomorrow I better start my exam revisions, seriously. But hey, for Ikimono-san, I'll gladly support them with a best album. To everyone at Ikimonogakari, good job!
(いきものがかりのみんなさん、ごくろさま!)

[P.S.: Ah, the liberation... Oh! Not yet! I'll post the package review! Provided I can get back the gifts I gave to my sis because she paid for it...]

The Entertainment News 2016 Edition Issue #15

Another week... another bunch of new Anime?? When will I ever have the time to watch them all? Well, let's start with three and see where we can go from there, yes?

In recent news, the end is near. I mean, my exams. *sob* Let's move on.

アニメ
ANIME
Assassination Classroom S2: Oh yeah the cliffhanger! You think the Principal knows about this? I bet he does!
Anyways, plot twist this episode. Kaede-chan proves to not be a student for the school, but a well-disguised-actor-of-dead-ex-teacher-of-class-3E tentacle-human some whatever prototype being, which must be surprising considering how long she can maintain that for such a long time. It's about time (like, one and a half season) for Koro-sensei to tell his own story why he first smashed a hospital in the first place with blood on his tentacles (seriously, he doesn't cannibalise), and for whatever reason he may know who to kill, probably. With the sister possessing a power that is much not desired, Kayano took over that chance for a time in the near future to kill the hatred enemy. Well, bloodlust isn't everything, but then again it probably is. Nice hint for the end of the episode that she needs saving, which is something nice to watch in this show like how that octopus saved Itona in the first place. Man, that history thing must come in soon. With that woman hot, burning and sensitive, Koro-sensei better do something about her lolol
(P.S. No really, the way Kaede-chan - or whatever her name is now - describes it is not enough. Umph!)

NEW SEASON ANIME PREVIEW!
(In order of premier date, and don't blame me if you don't see them next week; It's not final)
Mayoiga: Hmm... as an Anime original? Wow my expectations have dropped quite a lot now.
Okay. The story. It's just a bus of people how want to live another life outside society. And yes, I'm probably one of them if I'm dumb enough will believe it and register for such a tour. Obviously this may be a farce, the driver is so pissed they can all die at once, but then again for first episode this must be disappointing. Not much of the storyline to talk about, and then they didn't let anything important happen! I mean, because it's Anime original means they cannot show us the rumoured Nanaki Village like, RIGHT NOW?
I'll stay for another episode, probably. But for legit reasons I may not even bother to. The cast size is too large for anything to be consistent, and the uncertainty of the show is large. Even larger then Glasslip, who only has less than a dozen characters. I'll see about it. Likely not. Kudos to theme songs though. Not so much for the show as of now. This thing's going to be one cour (12-13 episodes)?
Bungou Stray Dogs: Wow. I'm stunned. I think the next ultimate combination of an action supernatural special human powers show is here. I'm hyped. *laughs*
The story first. The introduction is captivating, as we're left with a story of not much of an origin. Here we are looking for a guy to survive after being kicked out of an orphanage and living without food for days... And hey, he decided to take action to survive. By stealing, but still, it's not a bad thing. In a strange turn of events, he saved a guy who is trying to kill himself (well, sort of; I'll explain later why) and ended up getting a free dinner. Or so he thought. He knows a lot about this mysterious tiger these guys were looking for, and surprisingly (well, at least, to me) it was Atsushi himself. The main guy. Well that would spell a good reason for this show to start even, considering any other excuse may be considered as lame in my opinion. Now, what's good about it. The comedy is mutual, I like it and I bet the author, with the help of the animation production company, has done a good job on it. If I can predict the next joke I'm going to like the show. (The reward if Atsushi helps to catch the "tiger" is unknown, but you get what he means, right? Me too.) So in that sense, I'll watch the show, right? Well, yes. It reminds me of remember my self-written story APoL? I think I can get a few ideas from there. Special powers in humans is kind of my thing, especially when little transformation is involved (okay besides that tiger thing), and undercover organisations are exciting, so why not? I'll watch a couple more episodes to see how this goes hehe
(P.S. The characters include an Edogawa Ranpo. Serious. Remember Ranpo Kitan from last year? Apparently this author hasn't received any copyright strikes yet haha. I wonder what his powers are...xD)
Haifuri: Oh yeah, this one. I didn't finish watching it, haha. Why? Well, I don't like the idea of girls thinking of such engineering stuff. The terms are disturbing, and it reminds me of real life work. Really, I should stop picking up this kind of stuff. Well, if not for TrySail I'll never anyway. But then again, this'll be good on their reputation, considering where they sailed from. Get it? But no, not this show. I don't like this kind of stuff. Especially when girls are involved in it. Remember Classroom Crisis? Yah, same problem.

漫画
MANGA
BLEACH: Yachiru with a Bankai? Looks like Kenpachi knows nothing about it too. Great. Finally on a level ground with this shinigami lol. Anyways, I won't talk about a nice fight, because as Hitsugaya should have pointed out, the opponent does not stack up to reason, even if he has reasons for how he can NOT die. Sounds like Kubo manifesting in another form which we will no doubt despise, but well Yahchiru may be here to change everything. We saw her shikai in the form of two monsters (ok, friends), so what'll the Bankai be? Kubo, I hope you have been thinking about this one for long enough to impress us.

Another chapter out! (Wow the inconsistency) What on Earth (well not really Earth anymore since we're talking about Soul Society and all) is Yachiru's power again? This has got nothing to do with that, right? Or maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, Kenpachi suddenly gets ramped up in power, and starts slashing that miracle of a Sternritter into pieces. But then again, even if you split it in half I guess you still can become another stronger being... right? I don't know. But then again, this may not be enough. Will Kenpachi become the next Ichigo? I have a feeling he will. I mean, there's no sheer power thing right now already. It's just over the top with these given add-ons. The zanpakuto trained from Unohana's passing, Yachiru's support of reiatsu (I suppose), and so on. I don't want you to surprise me anymore Kubo, so someone please kill that Sternritter, please! Seriously.

This Week on Klassic Note
Not much this week, because I was busy with the final presentations for the term and stuff. And probably not much besides those from familiar artists because... exams. You know. Anyways, Rie fu-san's new album came in this week, and it isn't disappointing. Apparently half of the album is under consideration similar to her previous album, which isn't a bad thing at all. Yoru no Honki Dance's re-released debut mini-album is not that bad, but due to bad recording I guess... I want to give it chance. Ignoring that, I am going to give one song this week (I mean, later) so that's on the list already. Been going back to listen to the other songs that they sung over the years and including music videos on YouTube... nope. I think I'll wait for another new release, yes?

There's nothing on for the next few weeks, so... I'm kind of doomed. For not having new songs to listen. When the desperation comes, I'll probably find new songs. Probably.

This is it for this week. I'm tired and I have to wake up early next week, so... good night then. Cya guys next week, and until then... you may not have noticed I've been refreshing the blog posts here and there. Hehe, well, just regular maintenance. It's just a little too big a project to do now. Next month onwards, perhaps?

[P.S.: Tomacchan, thanks for being my motivation for the week. I totally appreciate it.

I'm runing out of stuff to put on my phone, so I'm dishing out the better ones next time. *laughs* Stay tuned.]

The Dream Fragment #15

Well, I had a long night sleeping. So, no doubt I will be remembering something from my dreams. Unfortunately, not much.

The best quote I can remember was spoken by a female, who is also likely the antagonist:

"See? He wasn't able to free himself because he was afraid of using the coloured laser to free his cuffs."

I know. Already very spooky in my opinion (I mean, I had the dream), but there's a little more. Suffice it to say I'm thinking of an action drama similar to one I've seen on TV (name need not be disclosed because I don't watch it) (Audience: Then how do you...?) (It was a coincidence, alright?), and I'm likely the one of them good guys as usual, going through many stages to defeat the supposed bad. Well, that's as far as I can recall, so I'm sorry. I'm still waiting for the futuristic dream capture device to be around to I can buy one haha

Cya guys then, and until next time... which is probably tomorrow, boy have I watched some Anime for the new season. Until then.

Friday 8 April 2016

It's probably religion that is going to stop all of us from being together.

And I don't mean just anyone, but possibly everyone in the world. I thought of this after seeing someone read the Bible on the train, which sets me thinking. In front of all actions, will the religious sensitive think first on their religion or think of a logical explanation for such an act? Just this is enough for all of us to see each other differently, even after the fact that we are in different circumstances and have different attitudes and reactions to events around us. I may not be in a strong faith, but I do believe putting this down can bring us together. Also, probably reduce conflict and tension.

P.S. I'm so winey on this one, maybe I should write a chapter in APoL about it. Don't worry; I already am drafting it since the start haha

Tuesday 5 April 2016

Besides, we can always live with non-ideality, like ourselves.

Imperfection is always within. So it's no surprise if you don't fancy what others do. But even if it's far from expectations, don't give people the menacing look. Embrace it, even if it doesn't symbolise you. Of course that does not mean one should follow imperfection. But so long as you remember about it, you're fine being your own. No one in perfect.

Sunday 3 April 2016

The Entertainment News 2016 Edition Issue #14

It has been a quick week. But it'll be much slower next week, mainly slowed down by own anxiety. Yes, I'm referring to my world. Let's continue with other more interesting stuff in my life.

アニメ
ANIME
Assassination Classroom S2: Eh... flashback? I mean, the second half really isn't important. Apparently just random stuff. I thought it'd signal the school system or something, but I guess not. Asano Gakushu (let's refer to his name from now on) that Principal apparently had a similar past as Koro-sensei, despite being less of a scale and Gakushu being less of a octopus than that freak. Nonetheless, it was always without harm, Koro-sensei, but  for Gakushu, he has turned evil. Easily explained by the fact that as a tutor, he appreciates his own efforts and wants to see results, really kind of opposite of what a teacher should expect teaching students. Furthermore, everyone can be a part of a person's education, so sorry, Gakushu, you aren't the most important person after all. Koro-sensei, on the other hand, lives his past, so I guess for now he's the winner. Will that octopus be defeated? We can but hope not. Because for a simple reason, perhaps. Koro-sensei has never wanted to eliminate Earth after all. Man, if this was the spoilers from the Manga then I'm sorry. *laughs*
Dagashi Kashi (last episode): Yeah, for a last episode this is most definitely unsatisfactory. Seriously. But then again, this show doesn't hit much on serious topics, so I won't say much. I mean, they even has to turn Hotaru-san lesbian in order to talk about love, I already know this show is kind of a screw up already. But then thinking along the sides for the author and animation production, I guess this is good enough. Didn't expect that Sakuma Drops to debut at the end of this Anime series, because I just happen to have one. Well, technically I have two now, after recently discovering that Fue Ranume also is available at my local convenience store.
Thanks Japanese sweets; you have made my life much sweeter (and my teeth much worse) with these products. Really, if your life till even after you finished watching this show didn't consist of Sakuma Drops, Hi-Chew, Fur Ramune or even that super concentrated (8,2) milk candy... SUCKS TO BE YOU, SUCKER!! *laughs hard* *sucks a sweet*
(P.S. Hotaru is cute and all, but I'll definitely crop that bottom-to-top scene of Sayashi in the opening video haha)

音楽
This Week on Klassic Note
Not much this week, apparently. Been busy NOT listening to new songs, I guess. I'm giving another song for Ikimonogakari still, so that'll be 40 songs already by today. Aki-chan's album review is up already for those who aren't aware, and yes I did intentionally drag Ikimono's best album. And it'll be two weeks later. I'll do it, I promise. I just have to do it incrementally, because quite a lot of the songs are not in review since 2014. So that'll take a lot of recalling, if I ever remember. It's been nine years now.

In new songs, Kuso Iinkai's new single song for Anime Yugi-oh was okay, and SpecialThanks is here with another (sort of) Japanese song and a new music video AND a new hairstyle for Misaki-chan lol. But really, they should just stop singing English songs altogether haha. Nonetheless, I'm still searching for new songs, so I'd try to go indie next week. Probably. Pretty damn hectic times leading to the exams, as usual.

In other random stuff, (oh yeah this IS it) I'm thinking of reshuffling the blogs ever since I pushed the stupid button that resets the image links of all the blogs before this one and now I have no way to restoring them besides fixing them one by one, and even so it's just tough because I don't remember which one goes where. So I decided to give it up. I've been playing Stardew Valley all day today because of a Let's Play on YouTube I saw yesterday, so I practically burnt my day away already. I wanted to do much more here honestly. But never mind, there's still next week. Cya guys then, and until next time... I need to rest my hands. Played too much of one game today liao...

[P.S.: Not Ayachi vs Aki-chan, but I waited for Aki-chan's album until my mood is swayed. It's tough.

I really miss the opportunities where I can get close-ups, huh. Well, it could have been further if I was slower haha]

The Klassic Note Review 2016.04 Issue 1

Because I was worried doing a review yesterday was a joke, and I did mention somewhere about holding on to one of the package of two new albums I collected yesterday. Then again, maybe it's my mood. I mean, exams and presentations are tense, people. Luckily there's Aki-chan here to make me happier. Well, just. Let's talk about it.

音楽 The Klassic Note Review
Toyosaki Aki - all time Lovin' [Album]
Limited Edition Regular Edition
(Obviously closer-ups are better, but then when you have the alternative jacket it doesn't matter haha)
(And if that's some cleavage you see in the Limited Edition jacket then you should totally buy it xD)

Origin: Third time's the charm, as they say, and we finally reached Aki-chan's long awaited third album, after about nine months since her previous single and nearly two years since her previous album. For one, I missed her album twice in review already, first being not within the timing of 2012 where I can buy CDs right after I listen to them (which means now) and the second when I was overseas and have practically no access to ordering the album at any point. Goddammit, as they say, but this time it's different. I finally did it. This is for you, Aki-chan. And with her third album comes a few more surprises, even though I must say if you listen to her style of music you'll be sure to like it especially following her this long.

[Note: Over here I shall make reference to various single reviews due to my own dedication since the year 2014 where she starts her new album plus adding my own, so opinions back then and today can be compared. First impressions and ratings only count for the new album songs itself.]

(1) Ginga Station [Galaxy Station]
(Not in Klassic Note, so let's not talk about it.)
Wait, shouldn't I? Okay, or maybe I should. This is the only song in the list of new songs which got rejected. Back in preview stages this was promising, but then the second half of the song proved disappointing to me even till now, so no. Not this one.

(2) Clover
Also the topic song for the album, this song talks a lot about Aki-chan and her box of "treasures". She refers to the (few) things she has along her (29) years of life, and she also displays (apparently, in the music video) the many things that she has experienced as she travels along the path of a solo singer. And yes, this song is good. Good for you, aokado-sensei; this is indeed a nice song. Not only it's typical and befitting of her style, it's also soothing to hear. If you have heard songs in the past like "Shirotsumekusa" then this song will totally appeal to you. At least, it did for me. And when you don't have much opinions of the song, means it's good. At least, I acknowledge that it is.
Rating: 4 stars (Slightly Above Average)

(3) Uh-LaLa
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2015.06 Issue 1] Just that the song now is different in mood, and with plenty more English lyrics which we know that Aki-chan can't really sing in. Well this is not much of an issue anyway, not after you see that music video of her literally being like what Anime "K-ON!" Hirasawa Yui does on a summer day. Really. (whisper) It's awesome...!!!"
Considering this (and possibly many in this album) to be segmented in track sorting compared to many independently released albums which is more common in mainstream then seiyuu solo career music releases (I don't know how you say this), this one just jumps in after a soothing song to make you feel in the summer. As always, it's a welcome change, even though this is definitely not your awesome song, but I'll take the fanservice. This and along with another I'll mention below soon.

(4) Koisuru Love Letter [Fall-in-Love Love Letter]
This one obviously falls along the once-in-a-blue-moon wacky moments in Aki-chan's music career which will no doubt cause some form of hype amongst fans, and here in Klassic Note it's no exception either. The melody itself can be a little dettering at the start when I heard the preview from her radio show and that the tempo of the song if overall slower than what you might expect for this kind of song, but then it's pretty well done. Of course I have things to say for this one, and the most disturbing part of the song - at least, in this studio version - is the background chorus of guys who sound like they are more desperate and in my opinion, do not blend in well with the song. Yes, the composer ROLLY-sensei is in it, which makes it even funnier in some sense. Nonetheless, like how Mina-chan told her as she writes in her blog (yes I read them regularly) it'll have its effect when Aki-chan starts singing this in her live performances, which will no doubt sound better than in this album. I'll be looking forward to making a shame of myself doing the "heys" and "oh yeahs" to her lives later this year or something. *laughs*
Rating: 4 stars  (Slightly Less Than Average)

(5) Houzuki [Ground Cherry]
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2015.06 Issue 1] ...this song is actually pretty well done. The melody is rather nostalgic, and relaxed are its lyrics as it tries to represent the season."
This song lies in the outsides of Aki-chan's singing career, but then it's very reminiscent of season change, so despite it being long it's nice to hear. I still remember the flute solo when I reminisce upon her songs today, mind you.

(6) Delight
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.03 Issue 2] ...initial impressions are alright, but kinda deterred by the lyrics, like “SOS” sounds weird to me, and the unusually high pitched notes in some parts of the song. But then listening to the lyrics make you understand that this is a wonderful song about farewell, to welcome spring..."
I think not many of us remember this song about a journey Aki-chan took half a year after her second album, and this one isn't much say impressive compared to what the previous release has to offer, but hey, it deserves a spot for being a good soothing song. I still love the chorus, but yes, Tamurapan-sensei was still better writing "Patapa" back in her second album. We must move on to new songs though, as nostalgic as I am.

(7) Tomato
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.07 Issue 2] I was worried about it being a 5-minute song but this happy song, as mentioned by Aki-neechan is really a great one, and the lyrics make a lot of sense in terms of love, like the English at the introduction is actually “Walking through life together”...Overall, the song makes of a happy, nice love song. And I like it. Actually I love it. And her, too."
This song. That ultimate love song of the year, at least, in 2014. If I could feel Aki-chan expressing herself in all honesty to me, it's this song. That being together thing still sticks with me till today, really. So much so I want to tell my grandparents about it. Serious. Too bad for age gap, Aki-chan. Maybe too late for the both of us. *laughs*

(8) Portrait
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.11 Issue 1] How should I say it… it’s emotional. It’s winter and we make a promise with her under the sky. Listening to the lyrics makes me know that the lyricist is a pro, however the composition is not that its best...It’s heartfelt feeling from Aki-chan, and I feel it too, but... not too much. So it’s just be that average song I’ll come to love, yes? I'm being so frank over here..."
Still ranked as one of the most touching songs Aki-chan has ever sung (ignoring how much I can criticise all of them) thus far, this one makes me not want to listen to it because I don't want to feel sad. But when I do, and I listen, this song grows in me. And hugs me from behind. A real healing song for the weak. Really, Aki-chan's singing voice does have healing properties.

(9) Kanae Tamae [Wish Come True]
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.07 Issue 2] This song proves to be promise from the start I heard it, because of its rock style in nature, back then when I heard the preview on her radio show. Until only recently then I got to hear from the PV and noticed the song was overall pretty good. No overly decorated parts, and a solid rock tune, arranged by the infamous Theatre Brook, as mentioned by her again. It’s really not bad, in my opinion."
Remember when Aki-chan really loved you? Well, here's a song that would literally fill your heart up with love. Whoever suggested this song for her is a genius and will bring her fanservice to a whole new level. This song truly is, a "wish come true". I'm satisfied already, about a year ago. Man, it's literally a love confession at this point.

(10) Shamrock
"[From The Klassic Note Review 2014.11 Issue 1] Somehow music composition in music companies but spoil the song with the bridge part of the song (between second and last chorus), which makes of very bad reveal once you hear the whole song, because the original preview sounds great. And lively, and relaxed. But just that part of the song. I know. But it’s forgiveable, for the lyrics and overall suggest a light-hearted song and a happy mood."
It's forgotten by me already. Okay, at least within this album. There are many songs which Aki-chan has sang, but this one falls in the forgettable category already, Quickly enough, this song gets brushed away as fast as I can remember it. Aki-chan sings happy songs, and this one still is one till today. Don't get me wrong. I just... listen to 200+ songs a year. Sorry to whoever wrote this song again.

(11) Tower Light
This one, is something. Remember the days Aki-chan has modelled other artist styles in hopes of creating a more mysterious and even sexy voice for her image? Compared to songs like "LiLi A LiLi" from previous album and many more, this album once again has a less than quirky song style, and this one is far from that, at least. Still, this song has it's own roots, a simple acoustic style, and a short song. I say "own roots" because as rumoured from a fan I encountered online stated that Aki-chan does play guitar in this song. And yes, she does. The booklet has proven that now that I had a look at it. Which also means she gets to perform this in live, which will no doubt be a sight when it happens. Aki-chan has proven her contributions in her own music career, and this time she is rightfully involved in it. Good job Aki-chan, and this song too, because it is a suitable tune for her once again. Not your usual pop song, but very memorable in terms of style.
Rating: 4 stars (Impressively Average)

(12) Issennen no Sanpo Chuu [During A Thousand-Year Walk]
This being the last song in the list is no surprise even to Aki-chan, because she also agreed this emotional song should take this spot in the album, and I can see why. Written by the infamous Andou Yuuko-sensei - and I tell you she's good - we get another simple yet touching melody, and even with the preview, first impressions are already good. With the full song, the impression gets even more imprinted in me as I tear up the many more times I hear this melody. It might be lesser than anything from her previous releases whether singles or albums, but still. It's a song to not forget.
Rating: 4 stars (Average)

Conclusion: What a journey I've been, and I hope for you guys too. Because the only reason I have to give these songs so much credit even till today about five years of her solo music career is primarily driven by her attractive, cute voice. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. I can forgive a cute voice singing mostly thankful songs with soothing melodies. And this is in all honestly, an album about love. About her love and thanks to us, and for the third time. It could've been better and the journey could've been smoother, but then it was great. Thanks Aki-chan, in return for all the showering of love in your songs. For anyone who isn't a fan of her? I can give you reasons, but you'll say I'm biased. But for good songs? Consider the songs about some "Love Letter" and "Tower Light" and you'll not be disappointed. That is what makes her different.

THE PACKAGE
FINALLY we're here. That took some time. And a whole lot more the moment I'm thinking about Ikimonogakari's best album. But that I'll explain this weekend on Enetertainment News if you guys are still wondering if it came with this why I didn't review it yet. Oh well, this first then. *laughs*
For me, this was also a journey. I went for waiting for a confirmation to not getting it to eventually not missing the train of First Press Editions, which if you do recall, comes with special gifts. Contrary to gifts from her previous albums (which I do not have the privilege to receive) this one does not come with signed photos, but another jacket (which is just a card with her signing) which I guess is equivalent to that, and a special photo again. The problem is this decision could have been made a week before the album release and I dragged it until last weekend to give the album a listen instead of pre-ordering it. In consequence, I went from missing Animate (8 days before release, one day before she reveals the last song of her album on her radio show) to missing Tower Records (1 day before release, and before I had any chance to review her album before making a decision) to eventually hitting on HMV Japan's special exclusive photo. *sob* It was a tough journey, this one.
Animate Online Shop=> Tower Records => HMV Japan
(For me who loves close-ups I hope you can see why I cry over this)
But still, I did it. I got the album for you, Aki-chan. I was just less compulsive than who I would have been years ago because I have a budget. And it's Klassic Note. That, I'm sorry to myself and to you. And yes, I'm not showing how much love she placed in her booklet, just because I can. *laughs*

Thanks for your efforts, Aki-chan. You may not have been perfect, but you are honest. And loving. And lovely. And I thank you for all of that. I look forward to more of you in any way possible (even if she is going to reach 30 in half a year's time), and that... I... I can't say it. I can only say thanks like you do. So thank you, Aki-chan. Love you for life. *giggles*
[P.S.: For even more love, I refer you guys to that another jacket. And Aki-chan, you will always be a treasure to me. Many loves.]
