The Entertainment News 2020 Edition Issue #38

Hey, Anime on Saturday because I... am going to hate Sundays from this week onwards. I already am though haha

Long story short (as short as I can make it), because this Chinese physician is only available on weekends on Sunday (unless you want me to take work leave to see the doctor on weekdays but we'll get to that in a bit), and there is a real queue to an extent that you have to wake up as early as 7am to queue for a number which may not be applicable for the morning consultation session so you come back in the afternoon, but I'm starting to feel the effects. I may not go this long because other than the disruption it causes to me on Sundays specifically, it's also going to take a toll on my mom who is so willing to queue early morning so I can sleep a little more (thanks mom), and also, spend hours on end cooking the medicine (yes, they just give you the not processed ingredients) just so I can drink this once a day. Imagine if it's twice a day. I tell you, if it doesn't work on me which also means now I have to effectively control what I eat every day ie. saying goodbye to my colleagues on Friday which I did (*sigh*), I might as well just stop this torture and go to another sinseh who will probably get the same meds but without having to let my mom suffer. Like really, it's not going to be worth it we have been doing this ever since I have the money to pay for this from working.

*sigh*

Let's just hope this pays off because I'm paying something now and it's not just using money and I'm not happy about it. Okay, Anime time!! Let's knock that sadness into the abyss!! And yes, KanoKari first because Sumi-chan is finally here, like, for the last two episodes of the series you sure this is not two cour? Haha

Okay who dubbed the Chinese and French this week? Hetakuso da haha okay I'm not going to show off my Japanese here I only know Chinese please spare me the agony. Also, it's not that it's bad but it doesn't blend in with those Japanese haha trust me on that. So, in this new arc of a new episode (#GREATPRETENDER11) where everyone doesn't blend in especially Makoto lol, this might be their biggest episode budget in hiring foreign talent to do the dubs haha it paid off though because there's that language gap. So firstly, the situation now. It's winter now, in France, and don't expect snow in Singapore by the way lol. Laurent is hanging out in France drawing Cynthia, who hate people who draw, and we'll get to that later because Makoto is crapping out in a sushi shop that can't even sushi haha, you know, trying to live an honest life, as he always wanted. Obviously, not really going his way, but as you can see, he's living it through. Working at a place who doesn't recognise him for his efforts (I mean, China people in a Japanese restaurant in France?? lol), living in a boarding house sipping off coffee... that's kind of a life, I guess. Hey, trust me, things could be worse. But as some dude walked in to insult his boss on his food, forcing him to close shop, and the France owner of the boarding house he lives in sudden debt and having to close the place so effectively Makoto has no place to work AND stay now... this is going to be quite the pinch. So, he devises a plan, surprisingly, without Laurent, to save the owner from selling the place, and to teach that dude a lesson. So, pros and cons with a heist without Laurent 101. *laughs*

Pros: (1) Things get done quicker. Makoto's plan is just to sell the painting on the boarding house's wall for 20k euros so the house family can pay the debt, so he asks Cynthia for help, without Laurent, to complete the task and you know, get the dude to pay for it. Easy. Quick. It's not that tough as Makoto gets what he wants real easy. (2) No Laurent. You don't know how advantageous it is without seeing his face around lol, but hey, it's just a small heist of duping a dude into buying a painting which he intends to gift someone else, so why not? And now we can talk about why Laurent is important to the series haha. Cons: (1) Intelligence checks. As Cynthia would have hinted already as they pretend to be the masters of a random art gallery and put up that painting, that dude is famous art appraise and auctioneer James Coleman, and with her face like this we'll talk about what it has to do with her for later. But yes, that means Laurent would have researched on the guy to ensure they get up to 20 million euros of that cut, even if it will take some time for the painting to be authenticated. Even if not, Laurent will find a way to sell it at that price anyways lol so yeah Makoto you already lost. (2) It's Laurent. *laughs* Okay, jokes aside, let's get back to story, and how this will lead us to the current arc's fate. So in case you haven't noticed till this far, Cynthia has something with this James guy. Besides seeing him in a flashback of hers, obviously we know that she knows of the dude's real identity, so yeah she decides to run away in fear of the painting not being able to deceive an art appraiser such as him, but thank goodness that was a real painting hidden in the shadows, so I guess all of them got the run for it. Sadly, at... let me check 20 million divided by 20 thousand... 1/1000th the price of its appraised value haha, but oh well, at least someone is safe from debt and Kudo-san did get the biggest cut out of this lmao. Then, it's Cynthia's drunk talk about the dude. So yes, it's a previous lover or something or else why would she hate people who like art like Laurent (although I would argue that they might be a couple of some level I don't know, these two), and then she talks things like stealing the painting back so it can be sold at its actual value?? Haha if this is going to be all of it and they are moving to England for this this will be exciting to watch, for starters. And please spare me the foreign language stuff I can just listen to toutoi Japanese voice acting thanks. *laughs* Let's hope this swindler of a James Coleman can live up to his name so we can really see him freak out when Cynthia kicks him in the butt with her heel haha cya guys next week

[TL:DR; GREAT PRETENDER in a nutshell (pun not intended but) is basically the two buying chestnuts and not understanding anything, sit down in such a heart-warming scene eating together and Makoto says his ass is cold lmao]

I swear I never thought I'll like a scene with Hayamin and Naomi-chan panting in 2020 but here we are. *laughs* In this new episode (#UzakiChan11) where Uzaki Hana is trying to pimp out her mom to his... boyfriend?? *laughs* Okay you guys give me a while while I get the rice cooker going. *laughs* So, not that I have a lot of... whatever to accompany with the rice I'm cooking now lol, but yeah, this is quite an episode, and for once, a lot about Sakurai being outdoors. You know, because if by now you still don't think he is a gamer and stays indoors and can't go for solo karaoke- Okay I'm not the one sh*tting on him okay? *laughs* So, about the story. Firstly, about Uzaki-chan taking Sakurai's place like a museum of sorts. You know, taking whatever she found (and then bought?) on the streets and showing him AND THEN not needing it anymore because she showed her senpai?? Are you that rich, girl? Or are those things so cheap you can spare that instead of just like, taking photos of them and sharing it with the guy. I can understand with the frog cushion or beanbag but man, did everything else go into the trash real quick. Well, at least his room's cleaner now. Just... don't throw away the stuff she leaves at the fridge Sakurai that's to feed you. *laughs* Talking about cooking, the cafe owner thought it would be nice to ask Sakurai to help out in the back ie. cooking, but turns out... he can't cook. You know, it's that bad Uzaki can laugh until she got a stroke. *laughs* So, he asks the mother for help. Since the cafe owner's wife is... we don't know who she is anyways, Uzaki's mother decide to teach this guy, just, you know, don't look him in the face then all is well. But you know, these two gotta tell her about petting the cats someday haha she keeps getting the wrong idea that it's not her. *laughs* Next up, rock climbing. Sounds a little sudden, but hey, it's kind of thanking Uzaki for helping him learn to cook from her mom, just that this one is going to be a showdown Uzaki is meant to lose too, considering Sakurai's well-trained physique he can climb the walls so many times, Uzaki can only look at him show off. And then, probably the highlight of the episode especially when they are drunk we'll get to that later, is Sakurai in karaoke. Dammit we were so close to hearing him sing the opening theme so too bad this would not be on the soundtrack (Remember Anime "Kannagi" where all the songs they sang were in the soundtrack in the karaoke episode?? Those were the days haha thanks Aniplex) (Also Aniplex thanks for Anime "Kaguya-sama" character songs you guys just write new songs for a radio show segment that's impressive), but guess who wil be on the soundtrack. Nobody. *laughs* Because besides singing, Uzaki and Ami-chan found him singing alone which it's regarded as a societal sin doing that alone (even for rehearsal purposes you should be shaming yourself at the first outing to the karaoke with your friends dude), but yeah, it's a literal party crashing, if you equate it to watching movies alone and suddenly you're not alone. Life sucks, isn't it? Not if you order a couple of beers and they decide to dress up in cosplay though!! Yes, my heart is with Ami-chan Sakura might be aroused by bunny girl but I'll take that bullet (twice) from the cop anytime. *laughs* (Premium rubber bullets haha) (That is a Yakuza 4 reference lol) Also, does it really pay off to be ripped? I gotta start training. *laughs* And, to end the episode and as a prelude to the end of the series, Uzaki suddenly showed up at her senpai's place all drenched and said with tears down her face that she cannot play with him anymore. She must be pregnant haha okay we'll see how this ends next week

Yeah, Rieri must use her cute voice for this role again, huh. Kind of guessed it from her but still, I'd like her to use this voice less but oh well I got my fair share in JoshiMuda already because IN THIS NEW EPISODE OF SUMI-CHAN (#KanoKari11) lol which no one should leave her out just because it took 10 episodes for her to even be mentioned in the Anime, like really, we can have another series where it only stars Sumi-chan and get those other b*tches out of the way lol no really the author wrote a novel based on her instead, first volume out this month. Anyways, let's talk about Anime. Well, after watching this week's episode I must say, I miss Ruka-chan A LOT haha okay I have my fair share of high pitched girls anyways so back at you, me. So, story. Story starts strong with the Sumi-chan date so far, so that's good, straight to the point. Just that, you know, the ex is watching. *laughs* Okay not about her first, let's talk about the new girl. The episode starts with a description about the life of this introvert and has some level of komyusho, studying hard at college and waking up early like her grandparents used to teach her (probably but I'm just guessing or else who would do this) (I meant waking up early you should study hard in college haha), but more importantly, she is a... woman? She is a woman with little words. Like seriously, in her call with Chizuru they gotta cut her talking about- You can be a light novel-based video game main character haha they also don't talk. Anyways, Kazuya has to think of ideas for the date since you know, she doesn't plan all the stuff unlike the #1 Rookie in the company lol, so yeah, getting rental girlfriends such as her would be rough. So yeah, I hope you have a plan when renting this one at random haha. Anyways, they go bowling, and there's where you see Mami-chan the title card from the Anime on their official site (Mami-chan not yet, please), but since she hardly ever leaves the house unless it's for school, Sumi-chan... can't play many things even at this location. From bowling to baseball to ice skating... she always finds a chance to show off her panties lack of skills as a rental girlfriend. Well, not that you must have those skills; I'll take a girlfriend who knows nothing so I can psycho her into believing my lies lmao. But yeah, Kazuya did to some extent, do his job as a boyfriend, and guide her along this "date", but yeah as he said, this is going to be rough. Sumi-chan is already hitting the ground running and she can barely catch up with the competition. Well, if the competition means Chizuru of course haha. Anyways, they bumped into Mami-chan which is of course bad news since as much as Sumi-chan doesn't know of what is happening right now for this dude, (Oh and this is the time where Sumi-chan braves up to say she's his girlfriend?? Haha man, I know this date is technically confidence training but this is not a great time lmao) but also, it'll be hard to explain to Mami-chan on anything about this "date" unlike how he dealt with those dudes who want to pick up on Sumi-chan earlier. But yeah Mami-chan, as much as I would like to believe that you'll (not) keep a secret, even if you tell on Chizuru, Kazuya also won't have to worry because there's nothing going on between all of them. Like, nothing as in no relationship at all they are all just client and employee relationships haha. So now that we are here, about Mami-chan. We know she's a virgin. *laughs* I mean, look at her. *laughs* She can't even teach her ex a lesson, for goodness sake haha only lashing it on social media haha. Ignoring that, she seems kind of jealous with all these girls around his life right now (Spoiler alert, but they are all not his girlfriend lol), and as much as his (younger) brother is itching on her lol hey bro, she... might really want him back for all we know. But now, especially from the end of the episode, I think she wants to break havoc. So, let's see how far this takes her. All in all, in a production standpoint, I can't understand why they bring in Sumi-chan (even though she's cute I'll give you that) just so they can end this with Chizuru saying she's going to stop the rental girlfriend business. And of course, whatever you saw at the end of this episode. Sorry for comparing this to "Toradora!", but this confrontation thing should've happened in like, last week's episode haha I guess there's Ruka-chan too then. Hmm, I don't know. It sure is great with many episodes of Chizuru though, but I have a feeling that may be too well to talk about just so we can put in these other characters to talk about in case this series isn't hyped enough with just Ten-chan or something haha. But hey, the initial story is literally getting a rental because the ex fell through with the guy, so yeah, hopefully this is the end to everything. Well, for this adaptation anyway. With 17 volumes and counting, the author is sure to make this exciting with new characters (AFAIK there is one new one looking from the covers) just so you don't get bored of Chizuru- I won't though, author, trust me haha cya guys next week

音楽 This Week on Klassic Note

This week... well there aren't any new songs, so it's literally me trying to find releases if I have the time. Clearly, I didn't have the time so whatever haha I should really browse through Apple Music Japan's new releases more often so find more to listen. So that, we'll touch on next week since it's also pretty much empty too oh yeah that nano.RIPE album. So this week, since a Scenarioart song from their latest album appeared in my head somehow I can't get rid of it (unlike a headache) so I think it's here to stay. Must be the recent live I watched some time ago but man did it outstay its welcome. Other than that, I listened to Mishima Souhei's debut mini-album which - if cinema staff's vocalist is more adequate of an introduction to this now also solo artist - really made weird shit in that album, I must say, so it's real hard to give anything I must say. So yeah, I'm kinda weird too so, maybe one song. Maybe.

On news concerning music on Twitter and hardly beyond because I'm not that bothered to go that far normally (I probably should though), VELTPUNCH's live livestream yesterday slaps a** so much I gotta tell them after the livestream on Twitter (instead of donating on the spot because I only have money for women lmao) (Audience: Aiko-chan the bassist is woman) (ah about that) so yay me (translations included in case you can't Japanese like me *dabs*), marble might be back (it's a band name not a noun) for more new songs after what, at least 10 years under cover? Well, at least they are active again, for remember that streaming thing for Lantis called MixBos? Yeah, that. But also more will be revealed on their upcoming livestream I assume, so I'm seeing how that goes I think next weekend. Natsukawa Shiina's new topic song got another music video but it's animated so no her but it's probably a good time to intro more indie composers and animators behind it I guess (I don't care I count that as an official music video lol), Happy Birthday Kotobuki Minako I enjoyed my playlist of your songs at work that day so much, and whatever whatever Earphones' latest music video now has English subtitles if you can stand the... music?? lol I can't even it's rather cool though once you reach the chorus. "If" you can reach to the chorus haha

So, for next week, it's nano.RIPE's best album time, but from the looks of two topic songs and music video collaborations with other Anime solo artist ie. female voice actors (lol), it is not looking great so let's see if I can give some oldies if I'm into it or not. Since I said I saw some stuff on Apple Music on their new releases (which is never new because there's that one week lag), I'll be listening to DENIMS' new mini-album and Cocoro Auction's new album, both released this month. And also because releasing a full album isn't very profitable now lol. And yeah, from zero impression, why not. I just had to check if they are legitimate new releases or just some re-upload of their old library lol




The stars have aligned, my friends. Yes, the "September Otaku Package" which will be no doubt, quickly renamed to "October Otaku Package" mainly because when the last of them appear in that warehouse next week and shipping gets delayed again... I could use another package haha I'm energised again for next month haha so yeah, maybe let it come next month, I guess. Cya guya next time then, and until then... the physician suggested that I sleep early so good night haha I'll make a half-hour extension for that Yasobi show on Wednesdays of course who can resist Mikakoshi and Sumipe hehe bye

She did say she doesn't want to talk about her age on her now new Instagram account (it's labelled with her 10th anniversary announcement so I doubt it'll last long but maybe 6 months at least?) (also, go Wanted List if you want to know how old she is she's only a decade behind Hocchan hahahahahaha), so yeah, new announcements it seems, which might surprisingly be able to check off two items off that "Turning Point" checklist, considering it's a mini-album of original songs (from Aniplex so I'm hopeful) which man did it take 10 years to happen for her solo artist debut haha, and a photobook (not sold separately, sadly) which man, if you see that anniversary homepage makes me hopeful we'll see a swimsuit shot at some point. Before you know, she gets any older and really cannot Photoshop it out anymore lmao hey Kayanon just anything; Even if it's below a shirt I'll count it haha

And... Abbie you shouldn't be killing people because apart from the fact that we still need you to pull off this stunt (get it, air race pilot stunts?) and no one cares about your goddamn life it's also war- Okay Edamame "The Saint" Makoto's here. *laughs* And I think I know where this is getting from especially mentioning from Isabelle because Lewis dying won't do anything great for anyone especially when Sam is going to be so happy about this if this jerk dies off and leaves this liar without anything to worry about. That, is letting Sam off too easily, I would argue. In this new episode (#GREATPRETENDER10) where we're still in Singapore so yay for our country's publicity stunt because amidst of crisis and with out economy relying on global trade this is great news, so yeah, more backstories, I guess. Of course, we're on the way to the finals, so let's see who has the final upper hand. Firstly, about Lewis and Abbie. Well spoiler alert from above, but yeah Makoto did come in to stop Abbie from committing a real crime and then be jailed for whatever she's trying to do here. Still glad they didn't coin this under like wartime crimes or stuff like that because they are mostly people of action, and that is probably the point and especially after Isabelle - the wife of Lewis - also talked to Makoto about Lewis' side of the story. Again, assuming that everyone isn't a jerk like that Aizen dude (lol sorry for BLEACH reference again), we would normally know that people struggle to live with war crimes even after the incident, as mentioned by Isabelle of his husband, and hey Abbie, you think people don't feel bad to drop two atomic bombs on two Prefectures in Japan in 1945? Think again. So, story goes on to suggest a conclusion to such a conflict, and as much as they might know each other's case as of this point, it is as hard as to allow Lewis to be himself again, flying in the sky and having a good time instead. So, Makoto suggests a bet. And yes, did they bait us on this though, because at the same time, advances on Sam's betting scheme ever since he lost last episode is also on, where Makoto suggests not rigging the race and having the confidence to bet on his brother and you know, win the race for real and earn the trust of the "underground casino". Meaning they are going to let Sam not decide the fate of the final race and then Laurent's guys will be able to make the decision FOR him haha I see the lies upon lies already well done scriptwriters you guys have thought this through lol. Of course, this is going all according to plan, which is why Laurent prepared the champagne the colourised films and fake video footage of the final race lmao. Yeah, and here I thought they would actually rely on these two idiots here for the plan to succeed, to switch between Abbie and Lewis and letting this dork decide the fate of the event considering he hasn't been racing since the incident haha. So yeah, it was a real race, and of course due to lack of training Clarke won but Sam still got duped (lmao), and the others got away with it probably after Sam found out who really won and left the underground casino angry. Which lies the underlying question: where is the truth? Turns out, another flashback suggests something else, as with Makoto's talk with Clarke days before the race. (Yes I'm trying to tie back to something else I want to mention) Because someone egged Lewis to play an actual race with him, and thus Lewis told Sam out to let them race proper (which he didn't) and so Clarke feels bad about it. Hey, everyone feels bad about it, from Lewis to Abigail not Sam though lol. "And as Makoto looks at the pill as the guy walks about of his garage leaving his plane behind for his mechanic..." I mean, bro, you gotta prove your guilt, man. *laughs* God, guess who will have the last laugh here. Probably not Abigail, because now everything is in her hands. Excuse me, "Abigail", because now you can just black tint your place for an air race and not win anyways. We got that signature middle finger though, I'll give you that. All in all, it's quite a mess, definitely quite a cliffhanger and got me duped until I'm Episode 1 Makoto level now because now that he's smarter than me... haha hey, I gotta praise this series for a while. So yeah, that was quite a good conclusion to this arc. We got to know a little more about Abbie, someone got cranked out of his money lol, and everyone still got paid amirite?? Haha cya guys next week for another wonderful arc I hope this series has good hopes of being a great original series imo

Yeah, now you wonder why it's a TWO NIGHT ONE DAY TRIP for TWO isn't it?? *laughs* So yeah, I ate so much more than Ami-chan I've never felt so full lol. So, story. I can't remember the sequence because I am so full not I forgot, so forgive me if I have to reference the episode itself. Firstly, sand dunes. Not like I've played those before, but those sound like fun for a regional attraction considering you don't want to go to the Arabic states just to do this, but hey, it looks kinda fun for a way to eat up sand without you noticing you know how easy it is to choke on that just on the sand block when I was a kid? Haha moving on, and then Uzaki challenged her senpai to a race to the ocean. Obviously, as you would have noticed a trend throughout the episode, that Uzaki just cheats in everything, so she brought a sand board to sail downhill. Too bad she still has to do the final run herself, so that part she lost the bet to Sakurai anyways. Then, it's the museum. I mean, it has to be relevant, so yeah, they made sure these two were touring an Anime-based museum haha. Uh, don't buy too much of those figurines because it'll be hell to bring them back personally but hey, hopefully they have nationwide delivery. And then, they eat rabbit cakes. I mean, remember the other two giving hints about the secret of Tottori? Yeah, about this point you should've guessed, it is a place for jerks for couples even though it's literally Uzaki playing around with Sakurai without thinking about the impact on her which might end up like stuff involving indirect couple actions that... they probably won't mind since they did it first without thinking anyways, so good on them. *laughs* *fills bowl of rice and sits down* Haha so moving on, they go to the shrines. Hey, typical to get some fortunes as we know in Japan (I mean, I guess we do it here too with Chinese temples, but not as conventional as Japan to be honest), but this one... as you have guessed it and those other two have revealed, it's for love. Totally spot-on though, I might add. So yeah, if you have listened to the story behind all this tradition because I didn't haha, Sakurai and Uzaki have been enjoying themselves... as a supposed couple. Well, at least, when viewed by the public and not including us who know of this and are just *fills another bowl of rice and sits down* enjoying this whole episode anyways by just waiting for things to happen in their lovely trip. *laughs* (Man, it's easier to get another bowl of rice with drawings than with text, haha) Then, the two get to sit on (not a couples') chain lift to the mountains to see fascinating scenery which my mom wouldn't care otherwise... (really, she's into shopping, my sis and dad are into scenery, and I just don't care) (haha I need help) So yeah, it's hard to try to have a good time without thinking that everything you do is couple-like. Even living in that hotel that has onsen water that can cure you of ailments in three days (ie. you can f**k for two nights straight at least and be cured going back home lmao) (that's not how it works? lol) (also, special appearance by the mother?), and the other two insisting those two sleep in the same room... which they didn't haha, and they end with the talk of youkai and how 177 of them exist just along the route to the train station- I swear I didn't see that one alive and walking around. *silence* Haha I mean someone please ask for help. In terms of production though, I have a harsh feeling that the tour guide is also voiced by Ami-chan if they recycled their voice cast lol (Edit: It's Ede-chan haha yeah they have similar voices, and as expected of production they didn't do that) (they did recycle the voice for the bystander couple's guy and the 7-Eleven dude probably newbie), and rabbit cakes have never sounded this cute haha (Yeah, those rabbit cakes dubbing is Oozora Naomi's voice in action, ladies and gentlemen), and they gotta slot in more shots (from the manga probably) for the ending theme animation because why not. All in all, great episode, I've had my fill which probably not much compared to Ami-chan's in the episode itself (I eat in bigger bowls than hers tbh) (around the size of Uzaki's cup, I would argue-), and I would say this cannot get any better. I guess that's why the focus is on this literally, since like, just the going out thing isn't that interesting anymore and that they need a conclusion for this series anyways which is ending in a couple of weeks. Couple, get it? *laughs* I'm tired I need to sleep even though I drank coffee just now lol yes with buckets of rice ohohohohoho

Well, we talked about that last episode but guess who's the newbie in the workplace. So yeah, Ruka-chan took it upon herself to get close to the guy she likes (man I can't even), and sadly Kazuya can't do much but go along with her or else he gets no pay (yep she bribed the manager too lol) and also go along with the insults from his buddies just because. Hey, that's what happens when you rent a girlfriend because you broke up with a girl. *laughs* Okay, if without this decision there wouldn't be KanoKari anyways so don't think too much into this haha. Wow this week is quite a week, it seems, because I mostly ignored mainstream because you know. *laughs* So, Natsukawa Shiina's new single is.. arriving on my shelf as we speak haha I'll try to be as unbiased as possible (see if I'm biased when I review Aki-chan because this is going to be similar lol), Ikimonogakari's new single is... just the one song I guess, Sambomaster's new single in a while is... fine? I only dropped in to give the one topic song because I heard it last week and thought it was good so... man guys, remember you guys wrote better songs in the past few years? I want that. *laughs* Moving on, and I don't know how I ended up giving LILI LIMIT's album from indie days because I wanted more of them and I can't (FYI they disbanded last year) so I just ended up giving the one song which I swear I rejected 4 years ago but you know, I'm more in the mood for that. Which will explain why I haven't given any judgement on miwa's new single which even ignoring the topic song not much has stuck onto me, and Aimer's new single because you know, only people who like her will get the hype I don't now. On news concerning Klassic Note and is on Twitter, I can say this now because Asakura Momo has her own music YouTube channel now which no doubt will feature more of her announcement videos like this one of her eating cup noodles and then telling us that she is releasing a new single in November lmao, to celebrate her 10th anniversary as voice actress (has it only been this short?) Kayano Ai is releasing a solo mini-album next year in March (yeah) under Aniplex (hell yeah) which I have been begging ever since I heard her sing those Anime "Kyouka" ending theme songs I swear, and Natsukawa Shiina just did a (recorded) release event on YouTube so... that's how I got a sneak peek of the B-side two days before release date which probably cemented the impression for me haha Nan-chan you got me. Oh, it's been not mainstream so far, so let's talk about those too. *laughs* vivid undress' upcoming livestream is happening in October in response to cancelling their physical live tour and probably, similar to cinema staff, doing donation-based lives to try to recuperate for losses. Again, I think that's more practical instead of not doing anything or putting a pay gate (like what idolism will do to you), so that's good. I think I missed Scenarioart's limited audience and live streaming (as in physical audience) is probably something I missed because of work (they started in early evening and that's Japan time so an hour earlier), and I think I then noticed this week that ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION is releasing a new single in October. I seriously need to be involved more in mainstream remember when I asked for more a decade ago when none of this exists?? Hey, I wish I was born a decade later haha even ClariS is 10 years already remember those glorious times where Alice is still around?? *silence*

So, as mentioned earlier, since there aren't many releases next week anyways, I'm going through miwa's new single and Aimer's new single to see if I can give anything (so far it's one each, and the former is not from the topic song), and also I'll listen to H ZETTRIO's new album too because I miss them and I hear they have been releasing songs bimonthly for a year to make this recent album so why not? Music videos galore, literally, where every single song is one music video- And then you remember Sangatsu no Phantasia is technically making animation lyric videos of their upcoming album songs well this one is actual music videos haha. Okay, maybe add in Mishima Souhei's solo mini-album (vocalist and composer for cinema staff) too since I probably can give him some songs even if I haven't heard anything yet. (Edit: What did I just hear from the trailer haha)




So, I guess I'm done for now. I lazed out earlier catching up on... I wouldn't say video games so mobile games and I'm tired so I'll carry on with my music library later, so if you would excuse me I'd like to stop here for now. As you can see, I'm trying my best to listen to everything while still working... not from home haha because who does that now lol, but you know, still trying to make this year not suck. Wow I hope the production studio is ready for this episode because they have been disappointing so far in making Singapore as realistic as possible in their story- Okay I'm just joking they can't fly here to do surveying now and they can hire locals to do it too, why not. Just a heads up if you haven't watched it yet, but the best scene is when Makoto is sipping on that small cup of coffee in front of Sam lmao this definitely one-upped last week with Laurent eating Chinese food haha. In this new episode (#GREATPRETENDER09) where we get Sam get off the hook and win money for now, we talk about how big a horse anus is haha hey I didn't start the conversation ask Cynthia and Laurent. Makoto, though, has other ideas. Besides duping the heck out of Sam of course, but also, about Abbie. So first, let's talk about what is with Abbie's history we know about till now. And I think it's still not a lot considering the previous one also pretty much gave us a good idea of what it is already. But first and foremost a warning: Abbie's race is... if you watched till the end already, Middle Eastern. And we do know stories from that place being a terrorist fighting ground until recently, so yeah, they chose this to talk about so I'll briefly make guesses so that I don't get flagged for inappropriate content lol. So, Abbie as a kid was a ballet dancer, all was well, the parents hang out with her until... planes flew by her country she was living in. Normally that is good for Singapore where your local Air Force has nowhere else to fly (can I put this blog to have exclusive information already? lol), but in the Middle East where you can build airstrips on deserts... something's obviously not normal. Soon she was in war, and probably volunteered as part of the local Force to deter the opponents who took their land and... she got out alive, but probably alone, that is. So, we'll put that aside for now because we know this will easily affect her racing in due time because spoiler alert, she might be trying to kill someone here *wink*, but yeah, the underground casino first. So yeah, Sam so far has made what, 3 trips alone to the casino betting every time on Abigail on every time she is in a race, so yeah, he's earned quite a lot so far, almost bankrupting the conman's coffers, if I would say. But no worries, it's a small risk to take to empty the rich oil tycoon descendant anyways, so yeah, they are riding it right now, it seems. And with more strategy too, from initially letting him win happily, then banning him and letting Makoto go on his behalf (bro be glad you're still alive after all this haha) and THEN losing all of it because they tampered with the engine... Well we had Cynthia to go on site to "observe" the opposing team, even though we know the "observation" is not on her because no one "observed" Abbie putting the pill into the trunk. Hey, if it doesn't work on Sam it'll definitely work on all the other guys because we know Sam's gay anyways lmao. Anyways, we now know that's the same method used to disable Lewis but compared to him the latter got an emergency landing on the beautiful straits of Singapore River (on second note can you stop polluting it so it looks like the 1950s again? thanks) (haha), so that dude got it out alive maybe, he got out. Like, he ran away from the competition. Hey, must be God punishing him for staring at tits, amirite?? *laughs* Anyways, that's how far they are egging Sam on so that he will swear to earn them all back, so yeah, as you can see, it's pretty intense. And I thought this wouldn't get more intense, Abbie asked Lewis out (wait, without the wife?) (lol) alone in the middle of nowhere... to ask questions. Yes, that's what it is. Interrogation, considering he's already on a wheelchair. But really, after seeing all that in this episode, is it his fault though? I mean, it's war, Abbie. You can't do this in Singapore go settle your problems elsewhere where guns are not prohibited. Haha cya guys next week for the results then. Also, didn't realise I need a dosage of Hayami Saori after this long of not seeing her in Anime- oh she's not 43? Oh, that's the character she's playing? Oops. *laughs* Anyways, story I guess. Firstly, we talk about the mother because... why not? Well, just for the one reason, I guess. Someone puked on Sakurai's bed and he has to get a replacement for it, but you know, he got a cheaper one so he's just returning the money back lol mom how much money did you give him as compensation? *laughs* So yeah, this new character though... genuinely fears Sakurai. Just like bystanders who normally see him in a bad impression because of his eyes and build mainly, the mother (using her name isn't that easy to reference so I'm avoiding it) (also "Tsuki ga Kirei" sounds like it'll give her the wrong idea lol read on for more) sees him in a more worrying light when she found out that the senpai her daughter has been hanging out with is... a male. Hey, you didn't tell this to your mom? Really? As anybody's parent I'll be naturally worried, especially when it's Sakurai. *laughs* Okay, story. Sakurai did kind of out stay his visit, but not until he had a quarrel with Uzaki-chan (the daughter) in front of the mother, and also, stare at her boobs her cats haha like seriously it's the eyes. So yeah, and considering we get a hint of that drama plot she was watching earlier it's no wonder she'll get misunderstood easily and it's only going deeper the further she talks about it, especially to the people in the cafe. Like seriously, someone's throwing their rice away and eating vegetarian already lmao. So yeah, the mother did visit her daughter's workplace and is surprised to find Sakurai also in the premises (well no shit he was here first), but then in the end digging the hole deeper as she eavesdrops on the wrong stuff around the premises lol. Then, Uzaki-chan gets pissed off again. Now that we can see the formula it's kind of irritating to, as a man, have to be gentlemanly to apologise for the words I say to a woman because that is PRECISELY what Sakurai is doing so that he can get this b**ch to be normal again. What? But then I realised this is what I was here for, and just took it like a man- Okay we should be good here. They kind of quarrelled in the cafe which is bad for business (unless you're business savvy like Ami-chan lmao) (I'm sorry to say sir, that your cafe is going to fall into the wrong hands at this rate), so the one kid stopped them by giving them a lottery ticket. And as you know, with all lottery tickets in Anime, they always win the best prize so without further ado... they get a (I like how it's) 2 night 1 day trip to... Tottori? I know right even if you say it though no one will believe you more than his son who IS the real pathological liar haha GOT HIM *laughs* So, instead of going aggressive so far, Ruka-chan in the end then decided to, you know, do the girlfriend the normal way. Gain favour of the family, and so on. It's like dating Kazuya, but you have to date the grandmother too because that's what's Chizuru is going anyways lol. Lastly, everyone's fortunes. I mean, we don't need to know about the ones from the elders ("you will gain a new family member in happiness" and then the grandma will be like) (haha), but more importantly actually, on Chizuru. Okay maybe Ruka-chan's was spot on too which led her to her conclusion here but still. I know, obviously they are giving you the question mark on Chizuru's side till the end (or if the end will ever come), but this is kind of a long thing coming, it's complicated, maybe we can move on with things not until they are 80 but at least until the elder passes away and no one in the family totally loves Chizuru crazily by then lol but you get the idea THE ENDING THEME IS GREAT!!! 音楽 This Week on Klassic Note

I don't really remember when but it's last week? Haha okay maybe it's this week at work haha. I spent some time listening to UNLIMIT's special live video footage on YouTube, and came back with a couple of songs? Yeah, so one from the 2014 album I've listened to before, and two from their 2011 album so it's before I started getting into them (FYI like many, from Anime "BLEACH" ending theme) so I might as well reviewed it too, so that's quite a harvest here. Other than that, let's talk about new releases this week. halca's new single is... meh at best, but I'm so glad the topic song is a lot better than I've listened to so far, so that's a plus. Kano's new single which is for Anime "Uzaki-chan" but unlike the Anime (fortunately) doesn't have Uzaki-chan in it, and it still sounds quite good(?) so I ended up giving it. That, or I think I brainwashed myself half the week to give it anyways haha the rapping part really isn't that great. Amamiya Sora's new album is... well, I didn't give many but some of them did impress me, from the one topic song with music video which you can see on YouTube, to the first song after the prelude which is my new beat now, to I think I've heard that "new" song in her recent live I've heard last week which probably, cemented this song's position in my list haha hey watching lives do help in increasing my music library lol

In news of music on Twitter and unlikely beyond because I don't have to but just in case, Happy Birthday Freddie Mercury just because, Sambomaster's new music video is actually good and yes I'm talking about the song and we might have a new single incoming, Ikimonogakari's new music video and single release on Monday isn't that bad and I'll probably try to give it next week when it's not that busy as this week, Tsuji Shion's summer live livestream is great and I don't know how I missed it last week so I watched it on archive which probably is gone from YouTube by now, and welcome our newcomer Collection Artist Amamiya Sora because I've given enough songs from her new album to put her into the list. I know I skipped it since last week on her birthday but (haha)

So next week, thanks to this reminder from the above paragraph, Sambomaster's new single will be under review which I must say it has been a long time coming since the previous one, and of course we'll see if we can put Natsukawa's 4th single on the shelf. I, uh, really can't get my hands on a preview of the B-side so if it really will happen I'll decide on Wednesday personally. Hey, welcome back. Okay, before we start, I promise you that this is THE LAST ORDER of buying used bromide photos FOR THE YEAR. I PROMISE. May I be struck by lightning if I do this again. (uh oh) (haha) Also, new goods do not count lmao these are used ones it's different hehe *phew*

So, if you wondered how fast I did to click on these stuff, think again. I was very fast. *laughs* So without further ado, let me talk a little more about what SHOULD have been the PUSS back in April where I did indirectly shop on THE SAME STORE which only delivered 3 items after 6 rounds of cancellations *sigh*




THE ORIGIN
It all started, with this:

This banner. When I was window shopping around the actual Japanese site of Suruga-ya, one of the only few places that openly sell these bromide photos online. Normally, if you visit Japan (which I have never, but my friend did lol and bought me some back then because he knew) (of Minase Inori, FYI) (Inorin!!~ lol) you will visit those Anime stores? Yes, and among some of them, they sell used goods, from figurines to CDs to posters to... yes, these. Again, this is technically illegal because they are not for re-sale (you can see that on the photos themselves), but you know, this is also the only way to (1) catch back in time to get older ones and (2) get rare stuff like those involving fanclubs. As you can see in recent posts I have made an effort to buy them in tandem with releases from magazines to live event goods as much as I can to compensate for this... piracy haha (hey I did spend money on this), but yeah, the truth is, buying them directly when it's actually released even if it comes with as a special for a magazine, is still more worth it than this.

Let's talk about ALL the advantages about this specific package. Firstly, it's the shipping rate. International shipping rate. At this point, flat rate of 1050yen. No joke. They even offer shipping discounts (at this rate btw) with minimum purchase from 10000yen (which of course I did not do and I COULD HAVE haha). And that's it. For comparison I pay more international shipping buying a CD directly from a Japan store eg. HMV Japan, and thank goodness that previous package was void of shipping which was about 3000yen? Yeah, now you wonder why I was so dumb half a year ago. Then, it's the direct shopping service I get from this approach. Considering this website is more updated on stock compared to the nightmare I experienced for a month going through Rakuten as described in the first PUSS 2020 post (lol), this one was surprisingly easy to deal with. Out of stock notices are easily seen (even if there isn't a filter on search which is fine I can't read the Google Translate from Japanese anyways lol more on that later), as you can see their service is fast because I ordered on Tuesday (yes, ie. 1st September 2020) and it arrived today, and their charges for this service is only - you heard it right - 500yen flat. Yes. For comparison the previous "scam" was 500 PER ITEM. F**K haha

This will be the closest to me actually shopping on the store in Japan without going there btw

There are still disadvantages about this though, like the limited availability of certain newer items because all the popular ones are already sold out the moment they are posted (or even claimed in shops in Japan since at this point people can leave their houses), but still. Also, if you see the unboxing below, you'll also notice their approach to shipping: one big box, but without any padding. Yeah. Then again, there isn't much to protect besides from scratches so this isn't much of a dealbreaker. More importantly, there are missing items in this order, as you can see above. Okay, not that they screwed it up, calm down, but they are likely out of stock by the time I wanted to order them and they did not update the website (*wink* find some deja vu there?) so at this point it's about a 10% miss rate. Out of the 30 items that you will see below, 3 items were missing and probably were the ones I wished had shipped I mean I used sphere to pad the order I'd rather those not ship haha

In summary because I did not do up a table for this unlike last time (lol), for a total of now 27 bromide photos which consist of: 5 from Kaburagi Atsushi/Aki Yuki/Yuuki Aoi (yes only the last one is correct), 4 from Minako Kotobu/Kotobuki Minako, 2 from Natsukawa Pie/Natsukawa Shiina (lmao), 3 from Tachibana Rika, 3 from Satou Satomi, 2 from Fuchigami Mai, 1 each from Kido Ibuki, Tomomi Okubo/Ookubo Rumi and Numakura Manami (Aimi Numakura), and 5 from SPHIA/sphere to pad the order. Again, it's all for the purpose to bring up some of the people in my photo library so far. You know, playing catching up considering some are either just rare now or have no future plans to release more photos... yeah haha

Yes, that was on purpose lol. So overall, because some items were missing, instead of refunds they amended the final payment to be 7830yen, from the 9170yen (~110 SGD if I'm not wrong I forgot already) initial purchase from... I saved even more money thanks to my sis' new debit card which charges directly in yen based on the best exchange rate I can get from here. "For testing purposes", by the way. *laughs* So man, by now it's already within 100 bucks so heck, remember the previous big package was 600, for 30+ photos? Yeah, I could've bought 5 more times from this shop haha. Then again, there are rarer stuff from that one compared to this, so whatever. You can't buy Akarin and Ajuju (Waki Azumi) from this store just because so that's kinda sad haha

This is the only sort of bad one I saw though

In terms of quality, some may have been too old on the shelf already (Satomi-chan's bromides are as old as from like, 2011 haha) so there are visible damages, maybe a little more stains here and there, but not as bad as the actual first time I did this back then I think in 2016 with that Aki-chan one I showed which that one was coffee stain level big; it can never get that bad, because these are literally displayed on a shop, so first impressions matter. (That Aki-chan one was from an auction site, from some random guy who lied lol) Other than that, if age is not a concern as I try to choose the newer ones besides those to up the numbers (Aoi-chan, Fuchigami Mai, Rika-sama), so most of them are in good condition. Again, I did actually get my hands on 3 of them  back then in April and I know o f their quality so this isn't too far away by comparison- Hey it IS 30 items in the end after all!! *laughs*

In conclusion, I felt much lighter. Like, in burden. From the burden of money spent on shipping, and from the burden of waiting for them to arrive. This hype could not be more higher than this. Well, if I did not do this for the... 5th time this year? 6th, I should include those from my birthday haha. So yeah, but I really promise for used items this shall be the last. At least for the year. But probably as I mentioned, I would just buy the latest from now since they are easier to obtain and also more hype because you can actually get Akarin bromides now haha, but yeah, I love burning money. Not paper money though I'm not actually involved in Lunar 7th Month from where I live apparently.
