It's technically only a Valentine's Day Showdown but what is Love Day without
a dude so I'm putting myself on the title hehe
Yes, you did not read wrongly: The other two books which made into 11th and
12th for my photobook review series last year was, in fact, a fluke. I
noticed when I HAD to (lol) buy TWO photobooks for my birthday haha that was
like a month ago already. As you can see, I've had
very detailed planning on this plan for my birthday gifts to myself
this year haha I just buy whenever they announce it so yeah that's why I'm
paying shipping fees to Animate TWICE *sob* We'll talk about those later in
detail, but firstly, let's show in our contenders!!

THE PACKAGE
Wow, do I have a lot to talk about the purchase of these two books. Well, it
was actually simpler at first, because Ajuju appeared early in the year and
pre-orders were going, but it wasn't until early February did I decide to give
it the get go... until Koga Aoi appeared a week later after I ordered it. And
inside myself I thought it wouldn't matter because you get a lot more from the
official MOGUMALL store until... it doesn't accept my cards. Yep, totally got
baited back on this, like so bad. So instead, I got both books from Animate as
they both feature a bromide gift... separately haha yes means technically I
burnt local shipping fees to my forwarding service twice. And not to even say,
if I had bought them together, local shipping would have been free due to a
promotion that was running on that time for books.
*sigh*
So ideally:
- Waki Azumi photobook from Animate, Koga Aoi photobook and bromides from MOGUMALL
- Shipping covered separately, both ship into forwarding service, consolidated
- Even if both books were decided to be bought in Animate, would have gotten free shipping for getting both in one order, if I waited a week after deciding on this very showdown
But instead:
- MOGUMALL doesn't accept debit cards, so I can't directly purchase, will have to rely on buying services and won't pass through forwarding service, so avoided purchases from there (Note: The feature of only letting you key in email once during registration as it only tells you to check the second time, is amazing)
- Already pre-ordered Waki Azumi photobook from Animate, and Koga Aoi announced photobook a week later though both released on the same day
- Decided to purchase Koga Aoi photobook from Animate instead due to the MOGUMALL restrictions, but was already unable to put alongside Waki Azumi photobook order, so pre-ordered twice, paid for local shipping twice
- Koga Aoi photobook bromides were then purchased separately from MOGUMALL, thankfully along with 37card Valentine's Day goods (more on Welfare Package post)
So you see, it was a tragic affair. Well, at least, for my wallet. *laughs*
I'm actually glad I haven't thought of buying the Koga Aoi photobook
calendar set from MOGUMALL since I can't anyways, and in this case now,
both books will have the same special gift of 1x bromide. Okay, besides the
bromides from MOGUMALL, okay? Let's put that aside a bit.
Now you see the potential losses I've been through so far? Aoi-chan, it's all
your fault for egging me on this haha yeah right it's all me here. Besides,
it's also subject to stock so who knows what will happen if I waited around
for another week. *silence* I would have saved SO much money by not buying
anything lmao
And without further ado, let's get into the unboxing and more storytelling,

In case you did not notice from the title, it's a reference to her nickname,
but more like "for you" type of thing? I don't know. But I do know two things.
Firstly, the theme of the photobook is focused on doing things she wants to do
in her life but have never, so we will be witnessing seven of them in play
throughout this book. Secondly, this is the Animate version of the photobook,
for this specific cover is exclusive to the store, and you can find out the
original cover yourself. Part of my decision to buy from this store is highly
influenced by this very cover. *giggles*
Let's talk about Ajuju and her seven wishes, shall we?

So, as you can see, in summary, she has a lot going for her even if it's only doing seven things that she wants in the photobook, we already got a lot of great shots to remember, honestly. Even through the short questions without the interview, I can already feel a lot of her on the surface extrovert but introvert personality overflowing already, and I am liking what I see here. It's a lot of what I didn't expect of her, and many more. Man, I'm going to look forward to a swimsuit photobook from her someday, I swear haha

In her short 2-minute long audio commentary, she thank you for buying the book

it was something she wanted to do as a kid (lol) but since she was indoors
type she didn't leave her house to do these but she went all out active/wild.
There were also mentions of the indoor stuff like playing games and her in
yukata, her doing bungee jump apparently 3 times so you can imagine what it
was like (I am), and of course, wants you to look through it as much as you
like. Hey, this is a a shorter summary of the long interview can I just post

So, about this photobook. It's much different from the other one reviewed this
time, because we be going on those location-based tours again! This time
around, it's Koga Aoi-chan's hometown Saga Prefecture (West of Fukuoka), and
man is it a joy to be dating her all this while after knowing her for this
long haha no really, this is a literal dating/date recommendation photobook.

Oh boy, did I feel that, Aoi-chan, just translating this afterword. It really
feels like she can't get it out of her as usual (haha), but I like this
subtleness of her. It's this her and her expression for her hometown that only
makes me feel sadder not living in the suburbs, and only been living in a city
state which has been shifted from village life years after I was born. Maybe
someday I'll live to feel that greatness
And yes, about that "Bookmarks of Saga" thing? That's the special book we will

So, about that special book. It's actually, as Aoi-chan mentioned, a guidebook
which describes all the locations/landmarks she has visited in this very
photobook. So yeah, think "Babatabi" but this one doesn't squeeze all the
details into the actual book like they're sponsored or something lmao

visiting the places she has in Japan. Actually, this will be the first.

It's victory for Team Waki Azumi!!!
Okay honestly? It was a close fight. I had never imagined walking into this
thinking that it could be such a close call despite the differences between
both purchases as I started out in early February, but if it's for my
birthday I must say Ajuju has the upper hand her, despite with the
talk about dogs (haha) and the pesky marriage requirements (I mean, really).
Because for
Aoi-chan? She has brought me to her closer than ever before with this
attempt, and I can't wait to see what is in her for the future, considering
not many would have a chance to release a photobook like her. And with the
long interview on Ajuju's photobook, I'm afraid I'll only know her better
than I know of the other, even if her personality right now is not exactly
ideal. Hey, don't say I said that haha. For Aoi-chan though? We have more we
don't know about her, so there's that.
So TL:DR; It's like everyone in class knows I like Waki Azumi until Koga Aoi
from the other class gets super jealous and starts getting me to fall in
love with her before I can confess to my crush. And now I have to struggle
between the confession again and the other stopping me from doing so
(Haha)
And that shall be it!! Man, it was quite some time to fix all of these up, and
hopefully by the time anyone else reads this this will be complete lol I'll
try. The weekend is going to be over once I'm done with this and I've not even
watched Anime yet!! That's for later but I gotta finish this first! Cya guys
