Alright Karin-chan
it has been 2 weeks, I know. You won't mind even a few more days anyways; Summer's not over they
can wait. *laughs* Summer's not over YET.
If I told you that a record-breaking number of them Japanese voice actresses
went to Okinawa this year alone to take some (gravure
level) photos so we can see them in all the skin that they can show, would you
believe me? Not if it's not Isobe Karin haha LET'S GOOOOO
Haha hey this be the season of giving... back to the fans apparently because
apart from the insane lack of shame all these ladies have this summer lol, I
CANNOT BELIEVE I have waited for this all summer because summer refuses to
end! To give it a proper send-off though (lol), we shall talk about the
hottest(?) photobook of this season, and see what they have to offer!! Oh,
today is
Angel Day
too haha this was worth the wait Karin-chan my angel because with this book I

THE ORIGIN
Well, if you have no idea about this Japanese voice actress, I am not going to
blame you the slightest. For Isobe Karin here who only appeared in Anime a
handful of times most notably starring her first main role in original
animation "Just Because!" charming us with her soft and very pure voice
acting, could not get me more interested in her despite the show itself not
really showing a lot of substance, but we shall not talk about that. Other
tjam Anime, Karin-chan has shown much more involvement in video game voice
acting and that is how she got me to play web-based idol game
"The "THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors" as Tsukioka Kogane which
is THE MOST STACKED character in game with a Nagasaki accent and that's how
you remember of her lol
it's the unique accent
dude, and especially she has been more than involved with stage performances
where she was before, appearing more than often in
musicals
and thanks to her voice acting skills, in
recitals
too which are both a thing in Japan's culture. So yeah, not your conventional
popular voice actress with a carpet line of roles, but still, she did leave an
impression because of her dainty character and overall alluring image.
As for the book itself, it all began just a few months ago where she announced
an Instagram live in which she has not personally done in years. Within it,
she announced a photobook that will serve to please all her fans and, I guess
at this point even if you aren't, non-fans alike. Though soon after Karin-chan
talked about releasing a photobook in September back in end June, many voice
actresses after her have announced to release around the same time period
(second half of September to early October) from the young, popular ones to
old, matured ones and many of them whom I do not know of thank goodness (or
else this will be quite a showdown haha), delivering summer photobooks with
promise of swimsuits and shots to please,
we thought this was a trend incoming
just because. Nonetheless, I think she might have prevailed because of the
contrast in extent she will go for making this book worth a purchase, in the
preceding months of promotional material from
her photobook's official Twitter/X account.
Even till the end, they have been showing
offshots
and actual images from the book itself on a daily basis, making me have to
unfollow the account just so I can be less spoiled before I even take a look
at the actual product itself. If you don't consider that as a problem though,
I do. I just couldn't resist making the purchase just to support her. *laughs*

Oh yeah, a bit about the title of her photobook.
Karin-chan said on social media
that the title was named after combing the words "watashi" and "meku"
which was around the definition of "showing oneself" which can also symbolize
her trying to reveal herself in a different light, and as you will see in a
moment, this is rather true to an extent as she tries to challenge herself to
display herself in a more matured light. And I really mean that by the way,
not going to put disclaimers here (lol) but you have been warned from here on,
she is going to show A LOT of skin she might as well be a
gravure model

This is another travel-based photobook, no surprises there. What is surprising
is how extreme this book went to display all of Karin-chan's beauty, and I
cannot compliment her on that enough. In her Instagram live which she hasn't
done in years and also
on the release date with Lynn-san, she mentioned about how far she went in terms of making this her first yet
likely boldest attempt (if you didn't know her, she is a shy person even when
Lynn-san and I knew of her in 2017), promising swimsuits and lingerie and
alluring shots, putting her above how far Lynn-san went (see photobook from
last year) moving her up to the same level as Tomatsu Haruka with her
photobook released back in 2015?? *OOF* Yeah, but this one has more substance
HAHAHA- It's as the title of this review has stated:
We all don't deserve this greatness, we really don't. But since she has

By showing you LESS of this book and showing you ALL THE DAMN PHOTOS they have
officially shown online so that you can actually buy this book and not have to
cry over my terrible phone camera and low resolution images meant to ensure

and how are my pants wet, I will never know. *laughs* What I DO know is this
book, despite feeling like it showed me lesser content than I thought (because
of all the spoilers out there and not because less clothing, mind you) is
still really impressive from what we knew of her as fans so far, and I cannot
thank her enough for showing us her respectable curves. You don't need to do
more of these, we have seen quite enough. *blessed*

THE INTERVIEW
I feel like talking about her life so far especially her career and where
she came from will be interesting, so for years since the last time I did
this, I'm doing another interview summary!

- On being asked about how she started being a voice actress, she started by saying that she wanted to be in musicals and studied it in university, and back then singing cover songs of Anime theme songs, by chance (I assume she got selected for auditions) she entered the world of entertainment. It was only afterwards where she expressed interest in "the world of 2.5D" and with roles at that time did she have a chance to challenge herself at this career.
- Speaking of which, when she was acting for the Anime "K" series musical adaptation where her character was voice in the Anime by Horie Yui who was also the first artist she bought a CD of, but it was only because of the musical and knowing of the work was she aware of the term "voice actor".
- On being asked why she intended to pursue the voice actor career despite being very different from an actress, she said that she has always been keen on the role of expression. Though the skills required for a stage actress is different from a voice actress, the point of "capturing one's character" and "fulfilling one's role" are still similar, so she thought in the long run, this will help her to expand her horizons on (that role of expression as an actor).
- She knew that this was going to be a very drastic change, even so she still expressed her interest to be a voice actress to the talent company at that time (Office EN-JIN), that she really is keen on trying this out.
- With respect to her first main role in Anime "Just Because!", it was when she has a year break from stage performance and was offered an audition opportunity, so she spent that time to study hard for this, and with all the roles she has starred in, she gave herself a 99 (out of 100) points rating, stating that there is still room for improvement despite putting in her best and supported by everyone in the past 6 years of voice acting.
- She most definitely did not regret taking up this career, and as much as she didn't expect to be able to be able to reach this far (and she doesn't have much to do in her private time), she thought of having more work is already a joy. She thought of what she wanted to do otherwise, but still regarded voice acting as a lifework.
- On being asked about her experience in her debut role in "Just Because!", she related to Lynn-san who was nice and honest with her, since she did not know much as a novice, and Lynn did taught her everything nicely like an elder sister, and was glad she had met her because of this, with nothing but filled with respect for. They did appear together again in works like "Uma Musume" series, but they also message each other on LINE privately. When she announced the release of this photobook, she also got contacted by Lynn soon after!
- On being asked about the changes in her for the past decade living in her 20s, she said she went from being obedient and listening to what should be done, to being way stronger (in one's opinion) over time. It was also because she had only be in the "audience perspective" did it stop her from being better in expression of her acted roles. Today her is more about being her and letting it out, stating that with fans and give more opportunities to appear on camera for example appearing on variety shows, she is more than able to communicate with others more freely and openly.
- Past her was also very blunt about things and being an overthinker, so in the context of Anime that makes her an otaku, which also makes her very biased in contrast, living by her own rules.
- This (along with her lack of communication skills) made her very far-reaching even for fans who noticed as she moved to talent agency AMUSE and was called "the royalty of AMUSE" which really made her rejective of the title, but learnt to accept it as part of her image, enjoying what the fans have bestowed upon her. With the years of acting though, she slowly learnt to be more independent towards her late 20s, and that has probably shown how far she has grown.
- When asked about the ideal her, she talked about living life to the fullest and being oneself. As she gets older, she became more aware about the Isobe Karin that she wants to achieve.
- As expected, she found out that if one doesn't like oneself it's hard to excel in work, to pull oneself up and work hard, and is what she often told to herself. For example, going into a (voice actor's) recording in the studio, one has to put confidence in their preparations without lying to oneself about their efforts, and put in their best. Because there's that fight against oneself to grasp the character voiced, singing the songs one knows the lyrics of, it's all about keeping the production of these works genuinely and carefully over time.
- She treasures the people around her who are supportive of her, from her family, best friends to the staff and fans alike, specifically of a bestie she knew from elementary school where they still hang out from time to time, and even just send photos of an image from a book they read, where she thinks is more than just thankful for people who will think of her from their own lives.
- She regards fans as much as she does to family and friends and even lovers, sort of along the lines of allies, which she says it is hard to describe. Seeing everyone pursue their dreams and watching her move along her career really makes her stronger, and at ease every day she comes home from work, which the interviewer describes as "being at home", with her specifically talking about being a futon being a type of charger to continue to progress, and laughs.
- On the announcement of creating of this photobook, she has always voiced out to her manager that she wanted to do such a thing, fans have been raising about such a prospect for years, and am honestly glad she is able to do this now.
- It also fulfilled her dream of going to Okinawa for the first time, seeing such a beautiful place makes her want to visit again.
- She likes Okinawa only how different it is from her hometown (Nara Prefecture), as there are many beautiful sceneries and broad skies (likely unobstructed horizons) and has that overseas island feel that she liked.
- She felt like if she did this photobook a few years earlier, she would not have been able to do these expressions as well as she can now. Since it's her first time trying out close-up shots and being fashionable or being matured, instead of the usual "cute" image. She thinks that this was a big change in accepting these positively, which was described as "the me now", and focus on gathering such feels was the theme of this photobook.
- On asked about what she wants to deliver to her fans with this, she said that this is to let fans set further expectations of her down the road, and use this as proof to believe in the Isobe Karin they know and love, also specifically to fans who have voiced out about wanting this for a long time, this was her thanks and response to those.
